I believe Lakers will be champions once again and this time it is going to be a bit harder, and it is going to actually feel like a championship.

What you should realize is that in football there has been many cases of covid and that resulted with players missing games, in a 11 person game it wasn't really that big of a deal, sure when Ronaldo misses that is hard for Juventus but unless your superstar misses games, it is not that big of a deal. Whereas in basketball it is 5 guys playing and if Lebron misses a game for example, that is going to make things very difficult for Lakers or if AD misses that is a huge change too.

This year will be decided a bit on who will be the best in shape by the year ends, if a team has a lot of covid cases, it is going to be harder, and if a team doesn't have any, that is going to make things easier. I think Lakers will win unless they have some covid cases or injuries, without any issues like that, they should be best contender again.

A team who wants to win will always consider making themselves covid-19 free all the time. The fact that they allow this kind of set up, I believe they are already seeing that the vaccine is available and they will start with their players and people inside the venue to ensure the success of the league.

It's been a normal scenario already just like other sports, so I believe even we are still in the pandemic, things is under control and the NBA organization already had plans on the continuity of the league under a worst case scenario.

GSW I believe won't make the cut even if they have brought it Kelly Oubre as well as James Wiseman into the team, they have a huge improvement on the SG spot but don't forget that they are overpaying Wiggins for his Andre Iguodala performance. Aside from that we are talking about the Western Conference here where all the top teams compete where even having a positive Win-Loss ration in that conference won't make the cut. If they won't have Klay Thompson back this season I won't see them in the playoffs.
Let's not conclude it yet.
Yeah, it is just still preason, and most of these players were not giving a crap 'bout the others right now, just testing the water to gauge whether new rotation, additional players are effective or not. Besides, a lot of suprising things could happen when regular starts haha  Cheesy.
But Denver Nuggets will be the champion this year.  Cheesy
Let us not conclude it yet, just kiddin'  Tongue. I'm still up for my guy, Bron, this year  Cheesy.

I know that warrior can't be that good as before and fewer chances to get back their strong teammates again, and to the fact also that many rookie players are so dumb as well on the floor and shows no respect to their oldies players. However, this will never chance mine and just continue giving support.
I think it is not a "bandwagon" situation to be fan of warriors once again. They used to have amazing players, Draymond used to be special, 4 years or so ago that dude had 30+ point triple double type of games, games where he had triple double but failed quadruple with points, that kind of great amazing all around player and defensive player of the year level, Klay was around and he was nuclear time to time, scoring 60 points in three quarters levels of amazing play, was always great at scoring threes, holds the most threes in a game record, they had Durant who I do not even need to talk about, and Curry. Nowadays? They only have shadow of Draymond that is no longer good at all, he is much much worse than he used to be, and also they are missing Klay. So, if you are fan of Warriors this year, you are actually a fan, and not just some bandwagoner.

Any thoughts on the Blazers game tonight? I plan to take a leap of faith in them and bet AH -3.5 Blazers at 3.65.

I want a little thrill as I bet on Cavaliers earlier and this seems to be wasted.

-3.5 against Denver Nuggets?? This is surely a crazy bet considering there previous match up. I'm not a fan of Blazers because they are so inconsistent despite of there good roster. I believe you should just bet during live game of this match then wait for a handicap to turn positive for a safe bet. Anyway this is basketball and no one knows what will happened. Maybe Melo make some magic.

I was after the high odds here, hoping for a surprise.

And watching the game right now, definitely miss it! Cheesy Nuggets totally dominates the game for Q1 and Q2 and the current odds for them are 1.02 :|

I understand that, Sometimes I do that if I'm desperate to bet with high odds. I usually pick a random match and choose high odds BTW nuggets dominated the game as I predicted. Even +30 for Blazers is not sufficient to win the match. I hope that you bet only what you can afford to lose.

Real talk, It's sucks to watch a game if you bet on the losing side. I always grab the remote and turn to different channel then come back when the match is near to end.   Cheesy:D

The Lakers, Clippers and Nuggets are almost sure to make the playoffs this season
The Mavs, Jazz, Blazers will most likely qualify too.

The Rockets will struggle and other teams like Grizzlies or Suns can finish higher than them.
7th and 8th spot is up for grabs. I think even the Warriors have a chance.

The regular season has not even started. The roster is good compared to other Western teams.
If they will play hard or the chemistry will work then wins can be achieved.
The 6th - 8th playoffs spot won't be that bad, and if they can snatch the first round then it will be sweeter.  Grin

But Denver Nuggets will be the champion this year.  Cheesy

Yes.

Their past performance is still good even though they don't have the same roster buff as other teams have. I think they're still blending their team and once it got the mix that it needs, they're dominant this season.

I'm a fan though and that's why I'm positive with them but regardless of that, compare to other teams roster, they really need to have more key players.

They dominant to the other team which have weak line up but what if they face the super teams in the court? for sure they will be out powered since they don't have enough strong second unit in their bench and I think that is the concern of Giannis that's why he think about leaving the time. Maybe they should recruit more star that can help them in outside scoring since this one is I think the lacking of the bucks to reach the finals.
It is for sure.

They are struggling with stronger teams and that usually happens and as we see them progress, they really need some upper hand that shall help them to get up to the semis and then finals.

I'd be happy to see that day comes for them.

Regular season opening in about five days. How's your favorite team doing so far? Any changes on who you might think will go to the playoff this season like Warriors or maybe Pelicans making the cut?

Any bookie who has odds available for this season's champ?

Very tough for them as the west side are composed of super teams.

Even Curry will play healthy without his splash bro it will be difficult, Klay serves as Pippen wayback when Bulls are dominating this league, without him playing side by side with Steph the chance of GSW to bring their franchise back is slim. Still both LA franchise are the favorite
from the west.

But if you are going to look at the last 2 playoffs that they were eliminate, specially against the Raptors, he was too predictable that's why the Raptors was able to closed him out.

Then we can put the blame on his teammates for that. Raptors predicted what Giannis can do so what the other 4 on the floor did? Still rely on Giannis in the offense. In the following season, Giannis knows that problem so he began working on being a much unstoppable player on the paint and we have seen him crashing defense even his move is predictable. Other teams can't do anything as even they know Giannis' next move, it's useless as they can't even stop him when attacking the rim. That's what we called improving his main play instead of shifting to other courses such as doing outside shooting or become a better ball handler like Lebron, KD, Leonard, Harden, etc.

The Bucks' problem is not on how Giannis played. The adjustment should be done by his teammates.

His teammates will adjust if the coach will say so, probably the problem is on the coach because he didn't make an adjustment on the game. Giannis is very limited and he is too predictable, so the coach have to make a better plan to get his teammates involved and still make Giannis effective as a player despite of the limited production as he will be doubled as expected.

I think Stephen Curry is finally back! he has some monstrous performance in the 3rd quarter earlier and they manage to beat the Kings in the preseason matchup.
He is, and that back-to-back 29 points with a win is something to really say it's a monstrous comeback looks like we'll see some showtime and raining threes from him. Not only that, I did see some highlights of GSW vs DEN and looks like he's really into his words that he improves his defense and guarding Murray was a success.

You're right) Curry looked confident on the court in two previous preseason games, but the Warriors will play the next game against Brooklyn, and I guess that Durant, Irving won't let him repeat the same performance.
Im eager to see on how he would handle out those two and you are right that Durant and Irving wont really make it easy for him.Aside from the upcoming or next game then we cant

deny that Curry's performance was indeed a good comeback. You wont really be able to reach of those peak points if you didn't do any preparation for this current new season.

I do expect something more from him to this current one and bit exciting on upcoming team face-offs with some superstars on it.

Which means he needs to improve, unfortunately, Giannis is not a good ball handler, he doesn't have the skills like Lebron James who can play as PG. Giannis best chance to be efficient inside the court is to master his 3 point shooting, because if not, he will be so easy to predict.

I hope they could get someone that could help them get a championship.

Giannis can't carry the team himself so he really needs to be efficient when it comes to his teammates on the court or develop his skills as you've said about his 3 point shooting. Their strategies are so limited and I hope they could use Korver too so they will have someone that could do the shooting and them focussing on inside scores.

He really needs another help, like maybe Chris Paul or Westbrook but it is impossible to get them there because of the high value players already inside Milwaukee Bucks. They are already a team that can be a contender for the Championship but something is really wrong, its either their team is so vulnerable to injuries and some of the players are not working too well even though they are good playing individuals. This only means that Giannis needs another helping hand.

San Antonio Spurs has been 0-3 on preseason, and even though I would like to say that it is preseason and we haven't seen the real team until regular season starts, that is not really the case for spurs. That would be valid for many teams, and some teams are even better than regular season, but Spurs are doing worse than regular season and when they start playing on regular season they are not going to be suddenly a much better team.

I assumed Pop would have moved the team to a much higher speed, and getting rid of Bryn Forbes and Bellineli was a proof that we could get better defensively. However looking at all the games so far, we are beyond measure horrible on defense, without fixing that problem we are not going to have a chance at even playoffs. It is a weird feeling to have a bad team as a Spurs fan, we never had one before, let's see where this leads, maybe it was our time to finally feel how it is to be a bad team.
