I have totally missed the Lakers and OKC trade, Lakers got dennis schroder and they gave danny green and a first round pick this year.

The Lakers won this trade. Dennis Schroder is a good role player and most fit with the Lakers system especially as the way LeBron creating the ball rotation. Dennis Schroder's gameplay is like a hybrid of Kentavious-Caldwell Pope and Kyle Kuzma either finding a free spot and let the point guard find him or penetrate at the paint for an easy bucket.

And having a first-round pick is also a good trade in return. Who knows this guy will be a rising star in the making.

Danny Green did not play well with the Lakers but he was a big factor to the success of the Toronto Raptors when they get the championship, so I understand a team would want him to be a championship caliber, him finally moved to the sixers, I think that would help the team as they don't have a lot of good outside shooters.
It was a quick move by the OKC to shift Danny Green to Sixers. Yes, probably Green's main goal is to help Sixers spread out if he hits his outside three's. This is a win-win situation for the Sixers here and I will say good move. Lakers also benefited from the trade, I still remember when I watch Schroder along side WB then it was a beauty as they are a running team. And with Lebron running game as well with the Lakers he will be a fit to the team.

What am I missing here, about the sixers news, have they trade their superstar already? either Embiid or Simmons? these two can't work together, there's no chemistry in the team, I think this is the kind of big news I'm waiting, and I'm sure everyone is keeping an eye on this news too.

NBA 2020 season is here again, it will go to be hurt since the two qualifiers are old team, show that the winner will surely show up for the match, since the two teams really understand each other. The game will not end draw since Boston players are still more stronger than Raptor players in this second half that will soon bring the  winner out from the match.Boston will definitely win this match to make my bet sure for me because the players are still stand well to win the game base on the experience they are attending to defeat raptor which the game will end in the favour of Boston.

Wizards have a nice pick @9 imo drafting Deni Avdija.
An excellent young prospect coming from the EuroLeague, i've watched a few Maccabi Tel Aviv matches with him and can say that he has great upside, athletic 6'9 forward with great iq/vision.
Wide range. Can attack inside and out.
This guy will be a big threat with his flexibility. Hesitation moves are almost real. It will be difficult to defend him with his height.

After being traded to Thunder. Danny Green is moving again.
Report: 76ers trade Al Horford, picks to Thunder for Danny Green

And another one.
Reports: Sixers add Seth Curry in trade with Mavericks

Quote
The Philadelphia 76ers have acquired Seth Curry from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Josh Richardson and the 36th overall pick, according to reports from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN and Shams Charania of The Athletic.
76ers is active. It's a roster overhaul.
Are they pursuing a defensive team?

Alright, 2020 (virtual) NBA Draft is still on, the top three picks are as follows:

1. Timberwolves - Anthony Edwards
2. Warriors - James Wiseman
3. Hornets - LaMelo Ball

These were the top three prospects coming into the draft and there were no surprises.
I think Anthony Edwards will be a good fit for the T'Wolves and their young core - Towns, Russell and Culver.
Can't say the same for Charlotte as they already have Terry Rozier and Devonte' Graham, one too many PGs here but you gotta draft the best available player and it was LaMelo.

I'm also happy to see Cole Anthony (Greg Anthony's kid) drafted by Orlando @15.
He was among the top prospects coming from high school but he had a setback in his first-year with UNC injuring his knee. Can't wait to see him play in the NBA, he is my favorite player off this year's draft.

An odd draft.  To me its average at best.  As a knick fan im not sure how I fell like obi, I feel like Tyrese Haliburton was the play there.  Dude can ball, and the knicks need people to spread the floor.  With Mitchell and Randle jamming the inside and rj liking to drive need more kick guys.  Think Tyrese was the play but hope I'm wrong.  Be nice if obi ends up with an amare s type career id take that Smiley

I have totally missed the Lakers and OKC trade, Lakers got dennis schroder and they gave danny green and a first round pick this year. I do not know why they felt like Rondo was gone but they say that this trade was made thinking Rondo will decline the minimum offer on the table and will find a bigger deal with another team however I feel like they could have found a better deal for Danny green and a first then dennis schroder, obviously they are not going to get trae young type player but they could have done better or at least gotten someone younger at least so they could improve.

Hopefully with avery bradley back, and dennis schroder if they could keep rondo they could have a mean guard position rotation but it will always be weakest link in their roster when you consider lebron and AD at other parts.

Lebron can still fill the slack if Rondo decided to leave the Lakers, but it's good that they acquire Schroder for OKC just in case. I'm just surprised that it was Danny Green, although he did perform on average to help Lakers get the championship, he is still a vital part of the team.

But agree that if they wanted to off load Green for any reasons, they could have shop around for better trade. I guess they really jump on the gun to get Schroder before other teams did in anticipated of Rondo not signing.

I see that noone mentions Milwaukee Bucks and big moves they did on Monday/Tuesday

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/30333660/sources-milwaukee-bucks-agree-deals-new-orleans-pelicans-jrue-holiday-sacramento-kings-bogdan-bogdanovic

First they sent George Hill, Eric Bledsoe and three first round picks to exchange for Jrue Holiday. After that they decided to go for another shooting guard (even tho Jrue is more of a PG) and acquired Bogdan Bogdanovic from Kings in exchange for Ersan Ilyasova, Donte DiVincenzo and D.J. Wilson. Jrue and Bogdanovic could compliment Giannis well, as having a pretty decent shooter as Bogdanovic will make more room for Giannis and his drives, while he will spread the court for them. On top of that, Jrue is an elite defender, and when you are aiming as high as Bucks, that is a must have.

They way I see it, since Giannis becomes unrestricted free agent next year and due Bucks fear of loosing him as it becomes more and more popular to sacrifice some money in exchange for title shot, they decided to go all in and will push for the this season's title.  I just hope this works,  Bucks reach the final so Giannis signs supermax contract next year. It would be shame to see once again "Anthony Davis" type of scenario, as it makes NBA less interesting when top talents are concentrated in few teams.

Thoughts? Do Bucks have what it takes this year to go for the title?

Oh wow just commenting again on that trade.  Yeah its 3 first round picks but in the 2 years in between they agreed to a pick swap too.  Oh wow, the bucks just ransomed their next decade for jrue holiday.  I know they are trying to make moves but they DEFINATELY could have gotten more than jrue for that.

Today we got another rumor about Harden's trade.

Maybe the Celtics want to offload salary cap, and now they are trying to get rid of Walker and Hayward because both have a contract with a salary of ~$32 mln. for the 20/21 season.

They've got both Brown and Tatum that similarly work and a good 1-2 players, having Kemba didn't materialized. With hayward, he's no longer

playing like how he was after that major injury. Celtics are unloading and trying to offer good compensation if Harden consider this option what

adjustment might be for the coach, knowing that Brown, Tatum then Harden are all scorers and always looking for the ball.

It would be like signing a Kyrie Irving, but Harden is the better one as he will not missed many games due to injury problem. Boston Celtics will continue to experiment here as they are already close to success but they still fell short, if they can acquire Harden, then I think it's a great improvement.

I believe the Nets cannot acquire James Harden this year as Houston demands either Kyrie or Durant in the trade talks. While the Sixers may still have a shot for Harden but it'll for sure involve Ben Simmons to successfully make this trade happens.
I'm not sure but I feel like the Celtics has more chances for James Harden. But I don't think he fits with how Tatum and Brown plays.
Nevertheless, Im so excited to see what would be the major changes in the league after the trade deadline ends.

Bogdan Bogdanovic is one of the best players in NBA ...
Don't you think that you are exaggerating just a "little" bit? I mean, Bogdan is a decent player, but still far away from one of the players in NBA. In a contender team he could be 3rd or 4th string, not a first option that will carry a team, like all those those franchise players. Unless you mistaken Bogdan Bogdabovic with Bojan Bogdanovic which is a superior player and underrated too, but even though I am his fan I still wouldn't name him one of the best in the league.

I think that is a bit much.  If giannis bounces, those first round picks might be all lottery picks.  All for jrue holiday.  That is crazy.  I do get it though, its tough for Milwaukee to get free agents to come in to a lower market.  Most want to go to the larger markets like LA.  I just think they got fleeced on that one.
They did give a lot, but I think that was one of the requirement in order for Giannis to sign the new contract. Their hands are tied really, they are small market team and if they loose him they won't be able to attract another free agent of his caliber easily. Since they brought new players, I am pretty sure that Giannis signs supermax next year. Unless they get kicked out of playoff early or some other disaster, but chances for that happening are slim to none.

I hope they kept George Hill. Great defender.
Yeah he  is a good team player and would be a good backup for Jrue, but latter  is superior in every way. Jrue was in All-defensive first team in 2018 and all defensive 2nd team in 2019 so he knows thing or two about quality defense. Anyway, I hope this gamble works out for them.

Oh I agree.  Milwaukee hit a homerun with the freak and have to do everything they can to keep him for that 5 year supermax.  But on the other end imagine how bad they will be for a half if not a whole decade if he splits.  I actually hope he stays.  I miss the 80s and 90s where player liked to stay on their teams and actually liked going up against the best instead of teaming up with the best.  It killed it a little for me.

With Rajon Rondo likely headed for too expensive of a payday for L.A. to match, Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka agreed to send Danny Green and the No. 28 pick in Wednesday’s NBA draft to the Thunder for Schröder, a dynamic guard who was one of the best reserves in the NBA last season.
https://www.latimes.com/sports/lakers/story/2020-11-15/lakers-finalizing-trade-for-dennis-schroder-thunder
For me, its a great deal.
Schroder is one of the players that has a potential to grow more. Could be an all around on the guard section.
Damn, this Lakers management is not fooling around. They want more and they keep on making the roster stronger.
With Lebron still there, chemistry ain't going to be a problem.

You are right, he is not in best players now. Not easy to play in NBA, we saw how Bogdanovic played in Europe. He had great victories in Euroleague matches along with team play.
NBA performance is not as high as I expected yet, but I am sure that his star will shine with a good team. You will see this year, when there are 2 players playing well next to him, he will do very well for the team Smiley
