What team do you think will be interested of getting him, no question he has a star quality as a player but his injury problem is one of the reason's a team might not risk for big money to get him.
Maybe Miami Heat would be interested in signing a contract with him, and I guess Hayward still has good potential to play at the same level even after that terrible injury. So, Miami's starting lineup would be looked good on "paper" Smiley (Dragic/Herro, Butler, Hayward, Crowder, Adebayo).

Gordon Hayward wants out of Celtics contract for 2020-21 season

Gordon Hayward's future with the Boston Celtics is getting murkier by the day.

Hayward can earn $34.1 million next season by opting into the final year of his Celtics contract, and many assumed he'd take that option in light of the injuries and inconsistencies that have prevented him from reaching his full potential.

What team do you think will be interested of getting him, no question he has a star quality as a player but his injury problem is one of the reason's a team might not risk for big money to get him.
I wouldn't consider him a star caliber, he is a good player but not to the level that he can carry a team. And with his injuries he has definitely lose some spots in the Celtics that's why he has seldom been used. I'm not sure what team he can be a perfect fit, but he can be a complementary player to some team that has stars already but lacks the needed support scoring wise.

Back then when he still playing with Jazz then yes he can be called as star but after that injury with LeBron, he ain't getting any rhythm anymore and suffer more from other injuries.

He may get offer for role players and be compensated enough to enjoy his career, He's time already passed and he can't bring his game back in shape anymore, whoever team sign him up we will see if what adjustment the coach will provide for him.

This is the counterpart for each player that will be injured.

Speculating which team is going to take him with his condition, we'll never know. It's too early to speculate and have a guess which team will get him.

But it's going to be surprised if the team that will get him is the team that we're not expecting.

It's really hard to tell since there's no rumor yet on which team will take him since for sure they will think about his health condition and contribution on the team if they will take him out and I think Hayward will struggle on this since there are so many good free agents which is healthy.

But it's good to see him in the bench since for sure even if he can't contribute on the court for sure the experience he bring on the bench will be useful for the team who will pick him.

Hayward can still play will. He may be injured and does not shows a good performance for celtics but I think he can managed to do good the next season. He had shown already good performance during the playoffs but they just have strong opponent that beat them, the lakers. Miami had stand no chance against lakers but they could be a good match to celtics if only lebron is not in the lakers team probably the championship team is between celtics and Miami.

That's a bad news for the Celtics I guess.
But, I want Hayward to join the Denver Nuggets. I don't know but I feel like Jokic and Murray is a good asset for the Nuggets and I want them to have another superstar (though Hayward isn't an all-star anymore, but his contribution to the team is noticeable somehow). That way they'll become a strong and a championship contender team.
I don't know but I really want the young Denver Nuggets to win a championship.

Just to clear out the Eddie Johnson thing.
There are two of them with the same name.

The one is sentenced to life imprisonment with 100+ different charges and the last was sexual abuse with young girls.
He was called "Fast" Eddie Johnson. He played with Hawks and SuperSonics
Full name:  Edward Lee Johnson Jr.
Confirmed death recently.

The other one is mostly known in Houston. His last team in his playing career.
But what mixed it up is because he also played for SuperSonics.
Full name: Edward Arnet Johnson
Still fine.

I hope that clears things. This happens a lot and Eddie Arnet Johnson endured all that trouble.

Former National Basketball Association All-Star, “Fast” Eddie Johnson, who was hit with a lifetime ban from the NBA for drug use is dead.
He died while serving a life sentence after he was sent to prison for the sexual assault of a child.
He was 53-year-old when he got a mandatory life sentence in 2008 after he was found guilty of sexual assault on an 8-year-old girl

I may be too young for his era already, I can't remember his name as one of the players I was watching in the past.
For those who are a bit oldies, maybe they can still remember this guy.

Here's his stats and the teams he have played in this career.

I can't think of any other poll but the same as before of who will be the next season's champ.

Which teams do you see as this year's favorites? It's pretty early, we didn't see draft, trades and transfers yet.
Honestly I don't know which teams to put on voting poll.
I'm not also so sure which team is going to be the next season's titleholder.

But if it's the favorites, I'm sure that it's the Lakers. Usually after the season and whoever took the championship is the one that's being favored by most people.

Just like when GSW's years, they've been always the favorite when they're dominating.

Depends on the player we are talking about and the amount of money that is being cut. Rookies with low end draft do not get proper amount of money like you guys may imagine, with the way they have to live because of all the travel we are talking about actually being in negative for a while. You see guys like Lebron getting 1 billion dollar life time deal from Nike and assume everyone is like that.

Bare bottom drafted rookie or even undrafted rookie gets like 700k salary, half of that goes to taxes usually (maybe not exactly) some goes to agent and some goes to accountant and some goes to team expenses, and spend some on your regular house (like literally what you and I can live but in some high end city if they were picked by them) and you have yourself actually a debt and not even a good life, it is just a bad apartment in an expensive city and you will be going to games and coming back and that's it.

We are so lucky that OP is still active though I haven't seen him participating in the discussion a lot, AFAIR, he also make a poll in this thread before, maybe he is already planning to make one now but if you guys have some suggestion, better put it here as I'm read he can read it.
Indeed we are lucky.
Some members will just leave threads that last too long like this.

Mock draft of CBS.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/2020-nba-mock-draft-lamelo-ball-falls-to-michael-jordans-hornets-warriors-cant-pass-up-james-wiseman/
1. Anthony Edwards - Minnesota
2. James Wiseman - Golden State
3. LaMelo Ball - Charlotte

What an intriguing title for an article.
I don't really understand why they are hyping LaMelo Ball.

That's a huge cut for their salary, anyone living a lavish life which has a lot of debt to pay will surely be affected with that cut. NBA is a business, so it's understandable that they'll also adjust at the current situation, what more cut we will witness if the pandemic still continue, hopefully we are not going to see it last anymore.
This is really the problem nowadays that business were really affected by this pandemic and the people that are dependent on others business like working to get a salary will have to be patient at the moment for pretty sure they will get little less during this pandemic. This is not only in the NBA but also in other aspect of businesses. I agree with that hopefully there will no more cut to be made by the people getting that are depended in this business they like the most.
Something that they have to thank of because they are lucky to still have a job despite the cut of the salary, other people are struggling because they lose their job since some of the business have really struggle due to the pandemic. The NBA will continue to provide the entertainment, and they have already proven a bubble concept is a success, so probably when the season resume, we can expect a more exciting bubble as all the teams will be playing in the regular season, unlike the last bubble where they just finish the remainder of the season.

Anyone with the update of the salary cut? If I remembered correctly, the cut officially took place a few weeks after the NBA cancelled the 2019-20 season.

Yes, that was 25% of their salary because of the pandemic.
There is still no update on what will happen this season.
I am guessing they will stay with the same course while meeting with the players union to decide if it will be increase.
25% is not that bad if we consider some people don't even have a job right now to avail pay per views of NBA live streaming.
Domino effect.

Any suggestion for poll of the thread?

Since I had read this question I had been thinking all night what could be the poll for the thread.  Cheesy
It starts with the season and teams are getting stronger. i.e. Miami, Nets, Nuggets, and Clippers might go back strong this year trying to correct what had gone wrong.
So the poll could start with which team will take the top rank for East and West.

East especially will be less predictable this year.

Maybe he's just reading some of them.

He's very active in Gambling Discussion and he's been posting on other threads too, I just saw his recent posts and you can say that he really is a fan of sports betting/gambling. Since there are still a lot of rumors about signings and trades, I guess we could just make a poll about another stacked team since duos are quite popular.
