I do not understand why WNBA is not getting more attention, ....

NBA are getting more attention as most basketball fans are men, just like in any sports, there are boxing for women but most boxing fans are watching the boxing for me. However, there are also games where women are popular, and they are getting attention, just like a volleyball games.

Let's put some figure as evidence to compare the NBA and WNBA market, so we will know why NBA has resume and WNBA didn't

Check the comparison below.

I do not understand why WNBA is not getting more attention, I love watching their games because to be perfectly honest they are still x1000 better than me, sure they may not be as good as NBA players, and I wouldn't expect them to because NBA has been around for like... 70 years? And WNBA is brand new comparitively and they do not get the same amount of attention and money and even be a viable career choice because even the WNBA stars go to other nations to make real amount of money and come back to WNBA after that, but to be honest I believe even if "women can't be as good in physical stuff as men", there is still a chance that WNBA could be a lot better if you give a ton of money, attention, more slots on TV, and actual marketing spending tens of millions all around the world to make it a global thing like NBA, you will eventually have superstars there that could actually be so amazing you would basically feel like NBA games of today.

Meanwhile, I am going to keep watching and keep supporting, what Kyrie Irving did (and I am sure tens of other NBA players will join very soon) is a great thing, if you fix economical stuff in WNBA, you fix almost everything in there as well.

A big apology for my post. I have just read that WNBA resume and Irving's financial assistance are for those who decide not to participate. A rule that is not mandatory compares to the NBA. Thanks for clarification.

No matter what the violation is as long as it involves in compromising the health of everyone in the bubble must be sanctioned with a permanent suspension in the Orlando bubble.
Come to think of it, the NBA did everything they can to resume their business and make sure everyone is safe and clean. And then there's this individuals who

Unfortunately, never seen a big penalty for those violators. They should suspend these players alongside a decent amount penalty as a fine. 10 days quarantine is not enough and 2 game suspension. If that so, it's easy to violate the protocol as all players will just face a not that strict penalty.

But actually, no need for protocol. These players should be matured enough to think that the virus should be taken seriously. A hard-headed so I'm sided with Perkins tweet against Lou.

They need to receive a penalty that is quite huge for them. So they know that this situation is really pretty serious. Everybody's health is at stake not only them. If they can afford to be hospitalized receiving premium health care assistance, there are people around them that can't.

But I'm happy that NBA season resumes, sportbookies will be busy again.

Maybe they realized that WNBA is not a big market as the NBA, so sacrificing the safety and to spend million again to resume is not viable for the organization, so with this, I think all eyes are on the NBA season resumption now.

Made sense. I don't know what exactly happened in the WNBA bubble (not a fan), but I have read an article early this month how messy the bubble was, specially that women are very meticulous on the environment sanitary and comfort satisfactory standard.

Him not to be able to play in the first game of the reopening, that's already a sanction, the team needs him as they are facing the Lakers here.
No Lou Williams, Beverly, and Montrezl Harrell, I doubt they'll win against the Lakers.  I wonder what are the sanctions of those who previously caught violating the rules.

Suspension from the bubble is the most appropriate disciplinary action the NBA would take.
Athletes are supposed to have a strong self discipline, but what Lou did is the complete opposite.

After Kyrie Irving, I think there will be more players that will do the same.
Maybe you're right and some top players will make individual donate or, maybe NBPA will initiate some financial support for staff and players of WNBA.
Of course, this is to support the basketball for this is the mere reason for their living. This is one way to keep the numbers of fan will be able to continue to support the basketball and for that if help is needed to continue then it is a good decision to help. Besides, they too earning huge because of their talent in basket so it is also a way of paying back to the community or the basketball fans.

Are there Kyrie Irving fans out there? let's appreciate this guy's golden heart and care for the other athletes, mainly the WNBA players.
Kyrie Irving commits $1.5M for WNBA players skipping season

I totally forgot about this. WNBA season supposedly starts this month of June.

So they decided not to pursue the season like going in a bubble, same with NBA. A good choice too although sacrificing the league's revenue, players, and staff's salary.

After Kyrie Irving, I think there will be more players that will do the same.
I hope that there will be other players that will also give their bows for the other league. Although harizen is right, they didn't stopped the league but the pledge of Irving is for those who opt not to commit themselves during this pandemic.
If most of the athletes and NBA players are like him, there will always be those who would love to help others. I know many of them are generous to enough and don't show it to the public but this encourages everyone to be in help for others.

Let's clarify this.

WNBA didn't cancelled or suspended their season this year. Teams will play instead a shorten season with only 22 regular games at their own bubble. They already started their regular season games last weekend.

Kyrie Irving's pledge are for those WNBA players who opt-out to play this season for their own reason. WNBA players can apply for financial assistance on the organization’s website so not all are eligible to received it.

To be eligible, players must have been on a roster before skipping the 2020 campaign, explain the reasons they decided to opt out, have medical considerations connected to the coronavirus pandemic and cannot be receiving a salary or financial assistance from any company or organization.

I don't think Clippers side will agree on it since he's one of the shooting guard they could have and besides the opening is nearing. That was reckless of him really but I think there will be considerations set but I think this is the second time it happened and if the third time another thing happened I don't know what sanctions will be given to the player maybe banning for the entire game until over is better.
This should be a last warning for him. I hope NBA can be more strict with this kind of events.
They cannot just let them get in and out like that. It's sad, Lou didn't even think about how he will endanger the whole team, worse everyone in the bubble.

I see. That must be the most fair action then  Undecided.

Strip club for hot wings? Yeah, nice try.

You got me on this one, LOL .

Which is why he is mad when Perkins made a tweet. We are looking at a guilty person here.
A rapper posted a photo with him in Instagram then suddenly deleted it with also a bad reasoning after deletion.
He thinks he could fool us. But we ain't kids.

He's trying to play us for a fool but nah, he ain't getting away with it. Well who would've gone into a strip club after a funeral? did he really even go on the funeral in the first place? But whatever, what's done is done, I just hope no one, would pluck up the courage to go against the rule. And one more thing, they must be taught what's decency (at least), I think, someone's forgettin' it  Sad.

And when you are in a strip club the idea of social distancing couldn't really work within the concept of it as well. Hence, I think he did put everyone in the bubble at risk, we still don't have the results but if he is clear that is because he got lucky and not because he wasn't doing anything wrong.

First of all they are both not making too much sense when they talk, both of them approach the subject wrongly, however in reality Perkins has the right point.

Lou Will could talk about "stopping for a hot wing" all he wants, he was caught in a strip club with naked ladies and I am pretty sure he wasn't there for the buffett neither, dude was there to have fun, this is the dude we make fun of because he has 2 girlfriends at the same time (and yes they are aware of each other, this is a three way relationship with all three peoples consent so nothing to joke in reality) so I am 100% sure that we are talking about a dude who went to strip club to have some fun.

Whose side are you?
Oh boy, look at that. These 2 players are both drafted on the NBA from their high school years and this will be a good matchup LOL! Which side I'm at? I'm with the Clippers player LOL! To be honest, Lou was really on the wrong foot here considering he was the one not abide on the protocol/s but who knows I'm just a speculator and don't know the whole story why Lou did that. I'm neutral here.

Clippers’ Lou Williams will have 10-day quarantine on Orlando campus after picking up food at Magic City on excused absence — sidelining him through first two seeding games — NBA says.

Again, discipline is a mandatory for them to avoid this kind of events.

That dude is careless Sad. Games are just starting yet, and here comes the guy ruining the entire operation, damn. He should be banned from bubble (is it unfair?). What he did is a serious offense, and must be dealt with accoridingly, so nobody would screw around ever again. You know, gotta need to set an example.

By the way, he wasn't picking up any food, I think? worse, he was partying. Strange 'cause he just attended a funeral then he would be spotted in a strip club, selfish Lou  Sad.
