Celtics got one back. It seems Marcus Smart taking his frustration to his teammates after losing game 2 worked hehe. I've read a lot of negative reactions to what he did but that just shows how badly he wants to win. Great players like Jordan and Bryant (RIP) have done more or less the same thing.

Boston got one back that helps them stay alive. If Miami was making the 3-0 things would be very difficult for Boston.
It is obvious that Boston won this game in the first period where the score was 10 points on their favor.
Miami tried to recover this difference they only managed to make a comeback in the 4th period but it was already too late for them.
I hoped that Miami would own today's game but Boston took over this game. Well, thanks to Brown and Tatum. They were able to dominate. On the last quarter, I thought Miami could comeback because they were only down by 5 points, and there were still 40+ seconds on the clock. Guess today wasn't really for them. Looking forward to the winner on the next game.

@Yogee. Casual fan's observation here. I reckon that it was the Heat not giving their 100% for this game in order to give 100% on game 4 and 5.

+6.5 for the Heat next will be a good bet hehehehe.
Easing up in game 3 to prepare for the next game does not makes sense from a player's point of view. Why waste energy?
If you are talking from a gambling perspective, maybe there's some truth to that. I don't think we need to go deeper hehe.
What sportsbook is giving +6.5 odds?
I agree, it was a big game for the Heat, if they won then they are up 3-0. It's just the Boston Celtics really started strong in early with Brown and then they built a good lead. Heat mounted a comeback, but it was not enough. Heat also play poor defense, allowing Boston to get easy points in the paint and fastbreaks. Tatum has like 2 or 3 break away dunks in the game.

Basketball is not played on paper, we should have already figured this out already this year with how clippers lost and how miami blowing out all expectations from them and almost at the finals now, also the biggest comeback ever was 73-9 record breaking team to actually go ahead and lose a 3-1 lead on finals, that was literally something to show you that how basketball can't be played on paper. So at the end of the day Lakers could be looking great and by all means they are great as well but when it comes down to basketball we can't know everything, we just have to watch and see what happens because maybe Lakers will destroy Denver and beat them 4-0 sweep, or maybe it will go to 7 games nobody knows until it happens.

No one knows what will be the outcome of this series, coaches have their own strategy to adopt and adjust with each game plays that they'll going to used against each others, it's all about the players determinations and the blending from time to time,.
Lakers can do that but we already witness how great this Nuggets after coming from back to back 3-1 leads.

All of those possibilities is likely with basketball, NBA or any league and sports that we know. There could be great comebacks, redeeming from loss after to loss through winning. It's all about how they are playing the game and that's why fans are hype talking about it.
Yes, you may say that we can only watch and look after what's next to it but being a fan of it, we can't stop ourselves talking about possibilities and potentials of the players and upcoming matches, nothing stops us from being like that.
Honestly I'm not expecting a 4-0 here, when we think a lot that it will happen, it would normally not because most of the time we are wrong. Denver might have been dominated in the game 1 but it doesn't mean they will be sweep easily, there's still 3 games to be played or the Lakers has to win to sweep the team and I think Denver has proven enough they are better than the Blazers this playoffs which beat the Lakers once.

Oh no, I was not able to watch the game for I have some things to do which is equally important. Probably will going to watch the highlights of the game.
If you are a Denver fan, you might get disappointed with their performance in game 1.
But go on, watch the highlights everything is there but mostly you will see is on who they got dominated by the Lakers.

If it was Clippers vs Lakers, things might be different.

So sad, that my choice did not make it to game 1. I just have to move on and hope that in game 2 they will be able to win it. If not then clearly it will be lakers play against the championship game. In the east conference boston and Miami too had been not good too with celtics. I was also hopingn for this team to get championship but it seems agaim that it will be impossible now with missing key players in their team.
The East had a good series though it was already Miami Heat who had a commanding lead but the last 2 games, games are very close and even in game 2 it always went into OT. Again, we will see a great game tomorrow, it's game 3 and it's a must win for the Celtics.

What can we say with Anthony Davis? He's unstoppable with that 37 points and a double double from lebron james, I'm with lakers with this one but I don't think it will be easy for them to defeat the nuggets. I guess it will reach game 6 or 7, lakers. With the eastern conference, I'm with the boston but it seems they are on the edgy side, but let's see if they can win to tie the series.

There is really nothing that big from just one game, let's remember Clippers were 3-1 ahead when Denver pulled together and won that series, they did that on the first round as well, this team is not a team that starts very well but it is a team that finishes very well so you have to realize what is going on and you have to wait for it, Lakers can't get snobby now because if they think they have this in the bag and start to slag off, even after 3-1, Denver will beat them 3 times in a row.

This is why I believe the first game means nothing. Lakers however did showed a great outing, as long as they can get great contribution from the bench unit like Howard and Rondo they could totally get this in the bag, as long as bench provides, they are miles ahead in talent and experience than Denver.

That's so true. Thank you.  Wink

Yeah, the Lakers did great.
Frank Vogel's rotation got even better since they are not up against a small team like Houston.
Jokic was having a hard time making good plays since Howard is all over him.
But, I know Coach Malone has something up his sleeve. We will see that at Game 2. I am feeling there will be a lot of changes in their gameplay.

Celtics vs Heat again later. I am still having a hard time picking who will win even with the Heat up by 2. I guess it's because of the close ends of the game.
Celtics might just win this next.

But its not the Clippers who are in so guess we will never find out how that game 1 would be.  This is only one game.  There is pressure on the nugs now because they certainly do not want to play down 2 to the Lakers.  I expect there will be some adjustments made on both sides so will be interesting watching game 2.

Don't overreact on that, it's just game 1, it's a best of 7 series, Nuggets won't bow easily, remember that.
Don't expect a Clippers vs Lakers, Nuggets already beat the Clips, let's give them credit for that.

I agree with you on that, and in fact, it's sunday in my timezone tomorrow and I'll be chilling out with friends watching the game live while drinking some beer. Celtics or Heat? I don't know yet.

Final Score is Lakers 126 , Nuggets 114.

Others might see this as Nuggets played poorly but they played well. But the problem is, the Lakers played much better.

Foul trouble also killed the Nuggets momentum. I'm Lakers on the series but I like Nuggets to give them a hard fight like what they did to the expected team to beat the Lakers in the playoffs, the Los Angeles Clippers.
Foul trouble is the main factor why Nuggets didn't play at its highest. Early foul trouble of Jokic and Murray hinders them to create more points especially in the 2nd Quarter where they gave at least 20 free throws. When the Lakers did go away in that Quarter, the Nuggets didn't have the chance to go near from them.

On the other hand, we saw a Playoff Rondo and a Playoff Howard on that game. Lebron didn't scored that much but he has 12 assists and only 1 turnover while Rondo and Howard stepped up creating passes and dominating the paint. The Nuggets didn't have any answer for both of them and they didn't expect it TBH. Davis did the most points with 37.

I'm hoping that the Nuggets will make some adjustments in the next game and TBH, I don't think that they can do it again that they are down 1-3 and will win the series again. This is the Lakers already where 2 are in the All-NBA First Team.

They definitely need to make an adjustment, but if they will lose in game 2, that's not worrying for me as they had come back from 3-1 deficit in the last 2 series, which I think they can do to any team, even the Lakers.

Watch the first two quarters and says that Lakers are more coherent team and Nuggets wasn't able to stop their transition game. And I would also commend Dwight Howard, he played a crafted defense on Jokic in the second quarter, draw some offensive fouls on him and that's it. Jokic wasn't able to get back in the game mentally. While Howard created a lot of opportunity, blocking shots, trash talking, I think he is one of the intangibles in this Game 1.
