That would be a great tribute to Kobe that fans will never forget, KOBE as the new logo of the NBA would really nice.

Is it really necessary? Kobe really did shape the league, people are looking up to him, kids usually shouts "Kobe" as they hit a three with a trash can and a piece of paper but the NBA did a lot of tribute for him and I think that is enough. Kobe is one of the GOAT, to be honest, but he doesn't need to be the logo of the NBA and I think if we will be asking him that too that will be his answer. Kobe is a legend, and as music states it, "Legends never die"

I am not saying it's necessary but if the organization find it reasonable to change the logo for Kobe then they will do.
Of course it will all start with the fans pushing for a change and they'll like to dedicate that to Kobe and if that would come in reality, they'll be happy including me as I am also a Kobe fan.

Kobe is a legend, he is way better than any other active players in the NBA now, even against Lebron, I still find Kobe better and I think he is the only one who is comparably close to Jordan when it comes to talent in basketball.

Maybe they should let Kobe's death to subside in the emotion of the people for now.
Afterwards, they could discuss about it.
Changing the logo of a company which is that large may also confuse some.

For me, it really doesn't need to go that far.
I will never forget Kobe. I hated that guy for a long time but when you are a player that just keeps you going.
You always want to better than him. The Jordan type.

Still, I do respect that guy and all I can say is, he is one of the top players of the league. No doubt about that.
He got the unique skills and that beautiful artistic move in mid-air which can never be forgotten. Almost moves like Jordan and he is one of the players with just a low arching shots which are difficult without long practice. Another is Kawhi.

What do you think about this ?
Nets' Kyrie Irving Out Indefinitely After Reaggravating Shoulder Injury

As expected Kyrie is really prone to injury, was it a wrong move by the Nets to sign him in the team.

Now they have two injured stars which are him and Durant, what can we expect on the future of the Nets?

Away for a day and suddenly long posts came.  Cheesy
Had a lot of time back reading each.
That was cool.

Respect though for the Mamba.
Emotional or not, it is just a way to remember him. Besides "KIA" is still there so the sponsor will still pay up.  Grin
As of the All-Star arrangement, I can still hear stories up until now. All are about success. It won't stop yet.
A lot of them want to repeat it changing the format at the 4th only.

I have some ideas but it will be more like a street ball.  Grin
Freethrow's is ruining that 4th quarter. There must be a change for that.

I don't think that's necessary, I'm not confident sharing that kind of bets with others.

I might test it on my own and I'll assess what's going to be the result of that run and if I think that it's a shareable thing to the people here, I might do it without notice but for now, I don't think it's needed.
Good luck mate, hopefully in the future you'll be one of the admired tipster in the forum.

I am betting in sports as well, done this for years but like you I am also not yet confident sharing my picks, all I can give is just my opinion or thoughts on a game but I can't give assurance that my opinion is correct.
Naaahhh..

I don't have plans to be like that. I just want to test everything that I can especially with the given example of games that I did last week. If it tends to be an effective thing for me to be with those easy games then I might continue it.

Nothing beats with the guru's here who have been effectively giving their predictions.

The All-Star trophy was named now after Kobe is already a big honor and we can see his name at this award every year. I think lots of honors will be made in the future to honor Bryant including building a statue for him.
This only proves how the league is honoring him. Mamba out.  Undecided

I wasn't aware of this actually, I just heard it during the announcement of all star MVP but I was thinking it was only for that specific event, well, great job by the NBA organization.

I also like that kind of discussion with constructive opinions. Actually their discussion is interesting to read compared to other stuff or users that just passed by here. They will post that GSW will be a champion, I like Michael Jordan, I like Durant's feet, I want Kawhi's hands, Lebron needs superstars to become a champion, Zion is heavy and fat.

Can I get in? About changing the logo, the idea was raised a few days after Kobe's unfortunate tragedy but I have to agree that the NBA should maintain the current logo and don't changed it to honor Kobe. The All-Star trophy was named now after Kobe is already a big honor and we can see his name at this award every year. The fact that you insert LeBron and any other players in the discussion as the reason for that to happen, this makes the whole Kobe-changed logo not making sense, unnecessary, baseless and pointless.

It's not just because of the performance nor achievements or even Kobe is the most talented player in the NBA that the logo should be changed after him.

Kobe's die-hard fans should understand that changing the logo is not as easy as 1,2,3 and shouldn't be push nor make it as a petition fan-based. Why this brought up in the first place? To honor Kobe? Good point above, how about Jordan? Magic? Chamberlain? The other greats that contribute to the legacy of the NBA?

Kobe will surely not be happy about this. As for him, there are other greats he respected that should be placed there first before him. Maybe someday he will be considered but not this time.

It's gonna be hard to make everyone on what Kobe fans are petitioning since everyone has their own best player in the NBA.
I'm not pushing, just sharing what the fans likes to happen and it was has never came into my mind about the "kobe-logo" until I read articles on it.
yes there are greats, better than him, but he died in a tragic incident, maybe that's the reason why he was so different and people pity him.

anyway, too much for this discussion, it's just like believing in different God and discussions were made by different religion or believer, all we discuss here are only based on opinion and not one among us even know the criteria for a change logo in NBA if there's any.

I will not snipped some of the posts for reference.

Anyways, I'm not saying you are pushing it. I never mentioned it. I just point out the basis you have mentioned which is:

"Kobe is a legend, he is way better than any other active players in the NBA now, even against Lebron, I still find Kobe better and I think he is the only one who is comparably close to Jordan when it comes to talent in basketball."

Even no one knows here the criteria of how the logo should be changed, that reason alone isn't making sense and shouldn't be a basis.

But as I also pointed out, "maybe someday Kobe will be considered". Kobe fans or not, no one will oppose that move.

Well, as I was saying, if that would happen then I would be happy too as a Kobe fan, whether it will happen soon or in the future.

I was saying that Kobe was comparably close to Jordan because of the article that says so.. actually it's coming form Jordan itself, so who are we to argue. Some of the article that would prove and that is my basis. (don't point this to logo change as we don't know the criteria).

Michael Jordan Says Kobe Could Beat Him 1-On-1, Not LeBron
Jordan says Kobe is only player who ‘deserves comparison’ to him

Michael Jordan thinks only Kobe Bryant deserves comparisons

anyway, too much for this discussion, it's just like believing in different God and discussions were made by different religion or believer, all we discuss here are only based on opinion and not one among us even know the criteria for a change logo in NBA if there's any.

Don't take this seriously mate as we are just having a healthy discussion here just like the others who also posted their own sentiments about the logo change. It's ok no worries. Smiley

It's not appropriate to compare our healthy discussions here to the toxic religious discussions for an obvious reason. Our topic here is way more constructive compare to them lol.

Yes we are having a healthy discussion, actually I am about to go to the office now but I still spend a little time to reply on your post. hehehe .I like you man, you are one of the posters here who always makes good post.

Don't worry,  I don't take discussion seriously, only when betting in sports especially in NBA as we could lose money there.

I read this article, and I'm surprised there's already 3 Antetokounmpo in the NBA, lol... I was only thinking Giannis only had 1 brother playing with him of course, now based on the article, he says he loves to play with his brothers.

I cannot forget the post ups from Embiid with Harden defending him. They are getting serious down there, pushing and stuff.
When is the last time we saw someone posting up in an All Star game.  Grin

And Kyle Lowry, taking charges. Miss this action in All-Star game, physical and both teams are eyeing for a win.

Still can't move on how the recent All-Star game turned out. This is the effect of long-time no competitiveness on every All-Star game although when they changed the format to a draft pick, I see the competition slowly coming back.

Yeah, Team Giannis and Team Steph.  Grin No hates. Just a change.
Giannis is already gaining a lot of respect from other stars and so does Lebron.
Better try someone else just to see how they could also lead.

Looking forward to a change too but we can't really deny the fact that these 3 players do have a large fan community that's why they always topped the votes. Team Steph will make a comeback I think next All-Star.

I think logo is something much more than Jerry West, even he himself says it is not him and NBA claims it is not him (although we all know it is definitely him) if you attach logo to just one player that would be really not justice to everyone who plays or played. What happens if Lebron dies tomorrow? Will you change logo from kobe to lebron? What happens if MJ dies? Will you change it to MJ air logo? Long story short, even tho it is right now based on a "player" we all know, the logo official doesn't say who it is, doesn't pay royalty or anything and basically it is just a guy dribbling and thats it, putting a name on it would be very very tough and would hurt a lot of other people. Naming Kobe after the all-star MVP is big enough, I suggest keeping that every year and keep it that way instead of doing anything else.
True. Everyone is just emotional with the sudden loss that is why they want to change the logo to Kobe. There lots of ways to honor Kobe but I think changing NBA logo is not one of them.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMuh1hZ0764 , this has the last 5 minutes of the All-star game, can anyone tell me if they remember any last 5 minutes of the all-star game that was as real as it gets? This was literally as "playoff game" as it gets because everyone on the floor was trying to win, there was a ton of trash talk as well which I loved seeing as well.

The real game started in the third quarter when team Lebron is trying to win that quarter. It ended in a tie and the battle continues on the fourth. I think this is the first time in a long time that plays are executed in an all-star game. The format is a success bringing out this level of competitiveness in an all-star game.

In the end we really deserved an all-star game that had everyone play to win and not just have fun, look at the video and you will see that nobody played with just fun and all but they played to win, there was actually defense. However if you look before these moments, like the second quarter or first quarter etc, you will see that there was a ton of lack of defense as well. If this method continues I am pretty sure we will see whole game being more defensive and more realistic in the future instead of the previous years we have seen.

The first one is that they are thinking that they've seen Kobe on the court and that is just Middleton who really looked like Kobe. \
I just realize that now, yes, Middleton looks like Kobe,... people surely missing him but eventually people can still move on.

I think so because some bettors here loves to show their betslips but I have not seem anyone showed that they won betting on Kawhi, not even seen people who are claiming they won. The 4th quarter was something that fans will never forget, it was one of the best all star and I am sure Kobe would be so happy for that since this also was also dedicated for him.

Some fans after this has a lot to say. The first one is that they are thinking that they've seen Kobe on the court and that is just Middleton who really looked like Kobe. Another thing is that a lot of people are so surprised by Chris Paul's dunk while he's been doing that in the past, lastly, the beef of Giannis and Harden, are they really in beef?
