It is really weird to see Golden State Warriors being trashed like this, after years of dominance. At least they will have solid chances to get nr1 pick in the next draft. With a bit of luck  and healthy team,   they might be contenders again next year.

With that being said, does anyone follow next year draft prospects, it it expected to be good year?

It will be weird if they are full cast and healthy and got trashed. But with the current injury-riddled state of GSW fighting a good caliber team, it is forgivable. They'll regroup next year when their stars are healthy. This year, they can give all the exposure and court experience their bench and rookie players can have.

Miami Heat, 75 points at halftime. The projection for their final score maybe 140+. It's one of the highest record scores for the franchise prior to halftime. Just a 15 point short to the Houston Rockers who established 90 points in the first half during 2017.

Next to this tonight is the Dallas Mavericks scored 74 points in the half time and they end up with 142 points int he full game.
Heat had a high scoring first half but ended only 124 points, way below your prediction.

IN this game, I like the Mavericks and Doncic again... another triple double for him. 35 points 11 assist and 10 rebounds, and playing only 25 minutes.

How was that?

Really Duncic is phenomenal in this era of basketball. His touches on the offensive end is incomparable and the one two combo of Mavericks in Duncic and Porzingis is considerably deadly to any team this season.

Dallas is rank 12 in power ranking - https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28100085/nba-power-rankings-week-5-houston-surges-top-3-golden-state-hits-rock-bottom

and no. 5 in the standing in the west, https://www.nba.com/standings.. so definitely we can say that this team is really competing and improving at the same time.  They are one of the hottest team now with 3 winning streak, and in these wins, Doncic was really outstanding.

There next opponent is Cleveland Cavaliers and they will be playing at home, I guess I will count this to 4 winning streak already.

Is it really adaption which we are seeing or is it just because he is being surrounded by superstars?
Yeah! He adapt. Look at his present physique and compare it into his prime days, there's a big differenece right? He change his body because he knew that O'Neal kind of Centers (huge but slow) are out — versatile Centers are in today. Those players do not only protects along the paint but also fast, has a good perimeter range and in some cases some of them know how to shoot 3's Smiley. Don't get me wrong, I know that being in an All Star team like Lakers is a significant factor to be considered why Howard seems strong but still the majority of his improvements are due to his hardwork of cours.
No, his present physical attribute had been the same since he was in Orlando, actually he is slower now because of age.
It is just that he has more will power now because of the critics (specially O'Neal) who made fun of him because of his comic moves.
Also I would mention his minutes now. If he still had the same energy then he would still be playing 34 minutes. But that is not the case, he is playing
20 MPG now.

We are the problem, not him. But he does not know that. He thinks he is the problem. He should just play the game.
You have a point mate but do you really think Melo got no problem at all? I don't think so. Okay let's disregard first the critics from the crowd. Melo did a 4/14 FG, turnovers and 2 offensive fouls (according to the post above). See? He is inefficient at the moment, so I think it is fair to conclude that he served more of a burden rather a relief for their team.
He had problems. I didn't say he didn't. Mentioned here before about his locker room problems against his team mates.
I don't think that he is still doing that by now for preservation of his career.
Now about his stats, the dude just got back from all those different ruckus about him.
Maybe next time, he won't be a burden anymore.

They weakened since their top scorers are out because of injury. It seems embarrassing for the warriors to be this weak even with Draymond Green as their focal point in the offense and defense. I think they should give up this early and scout for top prospect for the up coming drafting.

As @Questat said, i don't think that this is embarrassing, this is simply reality due all those injuries and everyone is aware of that. I just said that it it still feels a bit weird to see these kind of results, as we all got used to strong GSW.
They indeed already gave up this season, even Curry said that he won't be back at all this  season, as there is no point to rush back. It is better to properly heal, relax, and get ready for the  next season.

There is no reason that the team will be embarrass on their struggle now because the fans will understand, curry, and Thompson are injured, what can we expect on the current warriors line up. Literally, the starters are actually injured.

With key players out with injuries, this is expected of them but definitely they bounce back next season. This may be a good opportunity for them to get the no.1 pick in the draft that could boost their roster next year. One thing is for sure, they will be contender next season, no doubt about that.

Dallas Mavericks destroys a hapless GSW 142-94, that's 48 point lost and I think this is one of the worst franchise lost for Golden State. As usual, Doncic put up a spectacular show here 33 point just in the first half.

The East has the history of playing good defense in the NBA, with teams such as New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, Bulls and Indiana Pacers. But it looks like time has change, three points and no or pretty decent defense that's why we have high scoring games today. But I'm sure as we gets closer to the playoffs, defense will be the key to win games.

O oh! Not a good start for Melo. Shooting 4/14 in the field , turn overs and 2 offensive fouls and a big L. It seems that he's still lost, he had a couple of bad shooting selections, putting too much body causing less control with shooting the ball.
I hope he really works out for the Blazers. An off night on the debut leaves a bad impression to the fans.

Of course he can't perform well since it's his first game since the start of the season. Although he's on a bad start, I think he can come back in this loss and maybe become better as the season goes by.

I can somehow consider it, but the fact that he frequently hit the gym while he was out from the NBA, he should've done better than that. I mean I was expecting a lot from him, he was an allstar and a future hall of famer. I really hope he's going to be okay this season with the Blazers, because if his not, Blazers might not guarantee his contract.

Really amazing. For that short period he already have this numbers. Luka is almost everywhere hope to have more healthy seasons for him,
He added lots of excitement to this league and carrying the team to have more fans to like them.

Pretty face with really good basketball skills. What more more to ask for this kid..

Again, let's do the talk after several games. Their next game is against the Milwaukee Bucks. One of the tough teams in the league that needed a serious approach in terms of defense. Let's see how Melo will deal on this.
Okay, let's see his next performance. I really hope *crossing my fingers Melo could add more points to his team for their upcoming match against Greek Freak's team which is also one of the strong teams in Eastern. Honestly, this would be a tough one and I have a gut feel (just a gut feel so don't be triggered again, chill Cheesy) that he won't get a better result not only because of strong opponents but also due to homecourt disadvantage. It seems that everything is in favor of Bucks this time so Blazers should definitely make extra efforts if they want to win Smiley.

Even those on the lower teams establishing high scoring points during the first half this season. The defense is really not the main point of view now. Almost all teams increase their offensive stats these past seasons.

I agree.
You can rarely see games with lower scores to 100.
You cannot see games anymore which is like how the Pistons won a championship at 2004.
They made it there using their defense.
Ben Wallace, Rasheed, Rip, Tayshaun and Chauncey. Will not forget those names who wins every game when the score is below 100.

Now, it is all about the offense. Thanks to this:

Implemented 2004. I think it was after the Pistons championship because of the brawl with Indiana.

All eyes are Melo but look at the stats of other Blazers starters on their recent loss:

Anthony 4-14FG (24 mins)
McCollum 9-22FG (35 mins)
Hood 4-12FG (32 mins)
Simons 4-13FG (36 mins)

It's an off-night for the starters, not just Melo. It's just that Melo is on the hot seat right now that's why he is the only one being noticed.

Yeah, they really on a off-night, it's just Anthony was hi-lighted here because all eyes are on him. And we all know that despite the fact that many players are hoping he can play. There are still a lot of NBA media who won't give him the credits, and now they have a field day mocking him because of his performance. Still a long way to go, I just noticed that his legs are still not there yet, maybe a couple of games and he will be back and hope he can play decent defense so that he can be value more by Portland, just saying.

I think its better this way that people are criticizing him so he will be challenge to produce what his left in the tank..

The fact that:

-no team has shown interest to him during the off-season until just recently despite the massive call from NBA superstars, players and former players
-he was being rejected in Team USA because they think that he might destroy the momentum of those young guns
-he is questioned about his behaviour
-he is known for having a poor defence
-he is now willing to take any role, even a bench warmer, towel boy, cheering squad, in the desire of coming back to the league

... isn't this enough loads already for him not to challenge himself on becoming a more matured player?

He is currently on the process. Again, let's do the talk after several games. Remember that his journey to Blazers is until January only and if no improvement was made, he will surely be out.

If Giannis will be guarding him, I think he will have a limited scoring again, if he made 10 points in his first game, he might not score a double digit in that game. I think its better this way that people are criticizing him so he will be challenge to produce what his left in the tank, just one night to lead the team in winning and everything will change, that's how people think.
