Anyone seen the Warriors vs Wolves game? A lot of controversial calls in that game. Well, first off, Curry led the team from 9 point down in the last 1.5 minutes hitting threes. But prior to that with 5.8 seconds left, Durant hit a three and get fouled. I thought it was going to be a four point play and give the Warriors the lead by it's waved by the referee, to my surprised. Then Curry buries a three to tie the game with 0.5 seconds. The only possible way to score at this point for the Wolves is to lobe a pass to KAT, it was long. However, the referee called a crucial foul on Durant for pushing KAT, very controversial. KAT made 1 out of 2. Giving the Wolves 131-130 win. What are you thoughts? Is it a right call?

I was thinking a couple of months ago about these calls the referee make during these games and they seem to be out of no where. There are officials which do favor certain players and teams so you never know about these type of calls which can cost the team the game. Especially by one point. Undecided

This is not new, that's why some says NBA is rigged.
I believe there's a big money betting on the Warriors in this game or the public money is on the warriors, so they let the Wolves win the game.
For pure fans, we will not appreciate this, but for gamblers and fans at the same time, we already understand this.

Right, I guess players like who went into this kind of gruesome injury should also go to psychologist and help the players to recover their mind and attitude.

We have seen players able to come back from worst injury and play like PG but there are players who can't maybe because of the big mental barriers they can't overcome and they are not the same self after that injury.

The healing technology now is more advance, so he could come back as normal.
When we say out for the remainder of the season, that is huge, and it could be yourself is your biggest enemy when you come back.
This season, we have 2 good players who got serious injury, IIRC, we also have Victor Oladipo, and this one is the latest.

I would agree that the technology is advance now and players are taking advantage of it and can comeback. What I'm saying is that it should be a holistic approach, not just your body but your mind need to be healed as well. And I think NBA teams should also implement this one, if haven't done so and I'm also not sure if they're already into it.

Harizen has pointed out a good example in his previous post, Hayward, he got injured at the start of last season If my memory serves me right, came back this season, but wasn't his old self. Maybe his body healed, but the psychological trauma that might have created in him has not recovered that's why he can't perform better after the injury.

Maybe we can say that to DRose as well. Got injured come back, play subpar but slowly regain his confidence (I'm assuming without any help, specially from Chicago Bulls). Just some minute details that a NBA team should offer to their players to really help them recover not just the physical but the emotional aspects as well.

Pop said that "Without Manu, there would be no championships." Well said by pop and this one is very true.

I just finished watching Manu's jersey retirement ceremony. If you missed it like me last night, NBA has it uploaded to their Youtube channel - here.

He was such a creative/unique player to watch, highly competitive dude with tremendous accomplishments throughout his career. Just to list a few of them: 4x Nba Champ, Euro League Champ and probably most important/memorable one is the Olympic gold in Athens vs. team USA.

Last night's ceremony is/was a well-deserved moment for him, his family and for all of the San Antonio Spurs fans.

Manu was such an intelligent player both offensively and defensively. He and the other European players also had a great influence to the Nba, So I might say, hes really well deserved for the retirement ceremony. We'll never gonna see another team who have as solid as Manu, Parker, and Duncan for a long time.

All Lakers game should be televised because when the playoffs come...they will be no longer around! lol Lebroke will have a very long time for fishing.
Sad for the boys  Undecided

They don't care anymore with the remaining games, all they care is the possible addition to their roster for the next season.

The nuggets have fell off the wagon and do not look like they will be any good in the playoffs. Jovic looks like a joke out there and where is murray with those three point sinkers in the final minutes of the game?
There last two games they failed to score more than 100 points in a game. They cant blame it on making it through to just stroll past in the regular season. Very disappointing for their home fans to see them in their next game. Undecided

No worries. We can't just judged a team based on their recent performance.

Once season ends, it will be 0-0 at the start of playffs. From there, a team will be matched on a "same team" for a minimum of 4 consecutive games at the first round.

Again, "against the same team" in 4 or more consecutive games. It does mean that, their performance in season games will surely be changed once playoffs come since they don't have to adjust for every different teams like what they are doing during season games.

Enough for Nurkic discussion.

Let's discuss the Bucks vs the Rockets game, it ended up a win for the home team, bucks beating the Rockets (108-94)
and although Harden had a double double tonight but he did not score 30+ points, and we know what will happen if their main scoring machine is limited with that score only. Harden is consistent scoring 30+ points every game but got limited tonight, the defense of the Bucks are making it possible.
Bucks had a great game on that. I watched them defended the rockets pretty good. And the best part is neutralizing James Harden, the scoring machine of the team. I hope that they can expose rockets by this type of defense. Well, bucks is the eastern team I'm rooting for.
Would you look at that? I am right. Here is a video showing that Bucks exposed rockets by the defense they played.  Here is the youtube video by Heat Check https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_LO8qFEFMM

Hayward is still not the Hayward back then. I believed he is still dealing with his "mental" part which is usual. And like I posted here recently, Paul George took one season to get back on his shape (or maybe because no Melo curse now on OKC lol) and we already seen him putting up big numbers in most of their games.
This is how Hayward is hurting the Boston Celtics. He's clearly not in his shape until now and it has to do with his mentality. And for Paul George, he's having his best season for me.
I have been with injuries too and I can say that mental problem is real base on experience.
It is hard to run now coz I am still thinking of my knees once I start the jog.
I cannot even sprint without thinking about it. Once I do sprint I run like an idiot with the injury still intact.
That is how mental issues really hurt this players. They are still thinking that it can happen anytime. Those must be erased.

Going to San Antonio Spurs, Manu Ginobilli really not expecting a moment where his jersey number will be retired at the famous AT&T Center. That was a great experience and a honor.

Congrats Manu. You deserved it. NBA fans will not forget you.
Pop said that "Without Manu, there would be no championships." Well said by pop and this one is very true. Manu was one of the pieces of San Antonio Spurs win championships. Those passes make him like Koruko from Koruko No Basket anime.  You'll be missed Manu. Congratulations.

Ohhhh. What a lovely quote from Pops and it will be remembered too.
Who would really expect it? He is the 6th man of the team from the start and until the end.
But without him San Antonio wont be remembered also. Hell, even Duncan cannot create history without him, and so does Parker.
How I miss watching Manu play.
Although I am loving the unusual moves of Belinelli, it is still way different with Manu around.

... and how those previous players like PG and HAyward able to
comeback and still healthy enjoying the league, if he will mentally willing to comeback with the help of those new innovated technology he can manage to do so, he's still young and there's still  lots of things to happen with his career.

Pointing to Jurkic, the most important thing for now is the recovery. Dealing with his mentality will start once he came back on the live court so better just wait for it.

The mental part of coming back is a lot bigger than the physical part. Gordon Hayward has been back for almost a whole season now and he hasn't managed to really pick up his game back to his normal ways, he used to be one of the most athletic white guys in the league and now he relies on his shooting a lot, because he is shooting so much people started to guard him closer and since he doesn't really just blow by them and dunks anymore they know it will work.

Nurkic could return back 100% ready with his injury and his foot and leg will be fully healed but knowing that at ANY moment you can break your leg in half doesn't leave your mind that easily, its going to be very though to come back mentally from it. Kevin Ware comes to mind, he wasn't really an amazing player but he was decent and after the injury he just basically stopped playing all together after a bit more tries but never really going back to his old ways.

It's official, he is out for the remainder of the season, but look at them now, they are still good, they are dominating the Bulls in today's game.
The problem they will face is when they will be in the playoffs, sure it would be hard for them to win, and I'm betting against them even if they have the home court advantage.
They are still good. But, we can't deny that Nurkic is a huge blow for them. He's having 16 points per game and shooting 50% from the field and 8 rebounds.  Even though he had an injury that might last for many months, let's just hope this does not mean a career ending injury.

Well that depends on Nurkic on how he'll face this obstacle in his career. Given that the org will definitely give him all the medical support, rehab and everything plus the advancement of the program of a such injury would give him boost. PGs injury is way worse than him, but look at him he's still dominating. Basketball is also considered a mind game, Nurkic just need to overcome the fear that he might acquired after that.
Though is not the same injury but look how oladipo trying to recover from his own case, and how those previous players like PG and HAyward able to
comeback and still healthy enjoying the league, if he will mentally willing to comeback with the help of those new innovated technology he can manage to do so, he's still young and there's still  lots of things to happen with his career.

What puzzled me was the injury of Giannis in the last match.
They say that his ankle is not heavy injured but he will recover soon. Actually he is going to lose 3-4 matches and then he will be back again. I don't want to see his performance dropping due to this injury and I expect him to be back stronger for the play-offs.

This was mentioned by one analyst in the NBA that the technology right now is more advance unlike in the past, injury could take a lot of months.

When we say out for the remainder of the season, that is huge, and it could be yourself is your biggest enemy when you come back.
Well, you haven't consider the essence of "out for a season." How many days does a season occur? That's almost 200+ days.

The enemy will be always you. Of course, you might be putting in your mind that "what if I got that injury again?" Look at DRose, when he always having good games, that's when he's having injury. So they need to consult into psychologist.

This season, we have 2 good players who got serious injury, IIRC, we also have Victor Oladipo, and this one is the latest.
Let's hope that no players will be added in that list.
