Rockets have been doing terribly this year.

I do not believe just because they lost Trevor Ariza they have lost all their power and suddenly a bad team. I think there must be something more to the story than just losing Ariza. They still have Chris Paul and James Harden which was the big cannons last year too and they managed to make it to western conference finals against Warriors and almost won.

Ariza wasn't the best player on that team, he probably wasn't in the top 3 in that team. He only had a defensive help which is always loved but that can't be it. Even Eric Gordon started to shoot a lot worse this year. I think there must be some team chemistry issues that needs to be addressed or there must be some new thing Pringles is trying, I don't know what the deal is but I hope they get back on that horse.

Its just Anthony bringing his jinx on Houston.  Grin. I guess a player leaving really left some vacuum on a team. I mean Ariza may not be helpful inside the court, but perhaps everyone loves him off-court that's why there's some missing pieces right now in the dug-out. Anyways, there's more room for improvement even to a team like Houston. Harden still needs to prove that his MVP is not a fluke so I'm sure that he will rise up to the occasion and carry Houston again.

DRose is back, scoring 50 points tonight and help his team to win against a good team is really fun to watch.
I'm just holding tears back watching him play, this Halloween, the 2011 DRose is back, shame on the Utah Jazz for waiving him, I hope the games gives him a good momentum on the games to come.

Yeah, its one game that we see the old DRose playing as if he is the reigning MVP. Well he is a good prior to the injury and maybe his regaining some form specially in his jump shots and he really turn back the clock with his vintage performance.

I do really hope that his play continue until the post season. I am a fan of him in his early games, in fact I own his first kicks released in 2012, the Adidas Adizero Rose. In that time they said it is the lightest kicks, I don't believe since there are a lot of great kicks that time. After that, a lot of injuries and it is really disappointing, not because he is not a great player but because he is a great player and his body is taking a toll on it.

Well for me the talent's always been there and there have been flashes of the old drose even back when he was in ny and cleveland. He probably needed a breakout game like this to make a comeback and i really hope he gets to sustain this kind of play. Happy for drose and his fans.

This is what a healthy D.Rose can do. He is getting back just like the old time. He's now the topic in NBA and often saw about it in different pages. Hope, he stay healthy and really wanted to see more of explosive D.Rose. He's now starting to get back the shine, form, etc. he has before.

All I can say is AWESOME. His emotion during interview really touches the heart of those people who are still expecting to him. I can't believed he able to pull up 50 big points which is no doubt no one expected it (even me honestly). Although it just a single game, Derrick Rose proven that he is still have it. Take note also that he has a wonderful performance in their recent games "coming off a bench".

That 50 points not just came from doing perimeters and outside shot that's why it's special for most fans and even for those not a fan of him. We seen his signature move of diving into the paint challenging the defense lots of times. That move is injury proned but still he continue to do it.

Others NBA players also appreciated it, LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant etc.

Yeah just watched now when I read it here.
That is real emotion.
He really loved the game. He want his old gameplay to come back and he did it.
I just hope this continues for he still got a lot of fans even though he had been thrown like trash after his injury.

That face of him which is real gave me a tear too. Kind of still thinking of DRose by now. I will follow this guy.

That game is a great boost to his confidence knowing that people don't expect a lot from him nowadays. As the saying says that you are only good as your last game then we could say that DRose is back. Just hope that he continue this and avoid those career changing injury. I am a DRose fan and wanted to see him wearing that championship ring.  Smiley

~snip~
He needed this break as everyone thinks that there is no tank left in his tenure as an mvp in the league. But what did you expect? Him being this good and creating his all time high? He even almost broke KAT's record of the most points scored in a game for the franchise which is 56 points. He did everything today and he even blocked the shot which will send them into overtime. I understand why he was so emotional as he proved himself today that he still got it, I'm so glad to see that his fans as well as his teammates are happy for the win. Plus they get to wear the most popular jersey design for the team as well. Wink

Shocked at how the Portland played Houston.
They played defense like it is the playoffs already.
Is it really that huge impact when Harden is there for the Houston. Coz now that he is injured it seems like they are lost.
That is a big lead from the Portland playing an offensive team. They could do better than that.
So a 1000 times dribbler Harden lost is a punishment to them. They must do more, it will be 2 weeks of healing.

Portland may have just taken the opportunity and that is why they play hard D.

DERRICK ROSE HAD A 50 POINT GAME. I really can't believe on this mad man!

Ever since his first injury dude had almost a breakdown and he was the youngest mvp ever in history of NBA and ever since those days he had so many troubles and faced with criminal charges, faced with many more injuries, faced with psychological problems and many more stuff and it was looking like he would be the first ever MVP that did not get into the hall of fame but lately he has been playing like a mad men and if he keeps this up than he is still young so he could make a difference on some team like this for years and really get his stock up once again for hall of fame, one fifty point game won't get him there but if he keeps up playing healthy and strong than I am sure there is a chance of it. I am so happy for him, he really deserved it after all he endured.

It is incredible that klay broke the record with time left on the third quarter, I mean THIRD quarter for christ sake, there was 4th there as well. He could have easily made 20+ threes in a game if he stayed in the game and they kept feeding him the ball.
Klay Thompson is the one player capable of breaking Curry's record of 3's made in a single game. I just remembered that 3 point shooting contest on the all star game that Klay beat Steph in the final round. This makes the Warriors a very scary team for now in the NBA, looks like they are just on a shoot-around and toying with their opponent.
The Warriors is a tough team to beat even before the arrival of Kevin Durant. Having those trio of Durant, Curry and Thompson in a team is a envy to every team owner around the association. For now they are the barometer for every team on how they would rebuild just to match the offensive fire power of the GSW.

LBJ is almost running of patience  Smiley. I would not be surprise on seeing some of those Lakers being traded.

It's still early though but it looks like Lebron wants to see things better already. It is possible that they might still acquire Leonard thru a trade though Raptors is starting great with their undefeated record. Things will start to shake before trade deadlines.

Even though he made many turnovers and bad passes, he stayed on the court as the substitute of Teague and made a history on his career. Its the vintage Derrick Rose.

The question is can he carry out how he played a while ago in his next games? I know that he made 50 points today but its just one game and I can't say "He is back blah blah". He must continue how he played in order to say that he's back.

Anyway, the Lakers won against the Mavericks by just one point 114-113. The Lakers dominated the 1st half with a huge league but Mavs made a run on the 2nd half but it is not enough for them to win on the road.

Agree to you that having this 2 players make the team stronger then inserting 3 more star player makes this team always on the top of nba finals. But for me much better to prove by one super star to win a game and carrying his team even upto playoffs.

True about the offense thing. Houston, GSW, Toronto and more. They are kind of focusing on fire power. Offense have been easier now. There is not much defense that can be seen. Since when did a player get a double figure of blocks and steal?
All I can remember is Duncan who almost made a quadruple double with blocks. After that? Blocks dont go up by 5. That is also because shooting outside have a wider space by now. Thanks to that new rule of them.

Look at today's game points:  Charlotte Hornets 125 ; Cleveland Cavaliers 136 ; Toronto Raptors 129 ; Oklahoma City Thunder 128

- But looking at replays everyone is playing defense, but not that hard (I want some hard foul lol) . Offense is now really easy to execute these days. Where we can see again big man dominating the league. Hopefully next draft pick we can see some good and pure centers entering the league or today's center will hug their position and will rarely do jump shots.

Surprised Ben Simmons doesn't hit a three pointer yet in his career? lol.

He could have easily made 20+ threes in a game if he stayed in the game and they kept feeding him the ball. Also bucks started out with 7 games in a row, the longest winning streak they had since.. well a very long time. Giannis seems like he is rebounding at a new level every year and this season he is breaking all kinds of rebounding career high levels. Lakers on the other hand looks horrible and definitely not properly managed, I fear for luke walton if they do too bad.

Lebron is known to blame the coach and kick him off and get a new one. Rockets are nowhere near the level they were last 2 years, I do not know if they are coasting the regular season or they are really that bad. Many things to come this season, I can't wait to see how it unfolds.
