He is not done yet.

He is not done yet, he can still play if he wants too because for sure there are teams that will be interested to get him.
In his last season in the NBA, he played well although his points average has decrease but there are games where he take over and win the game for his team.

The kind of leadership that he has is a good one, even better than Lebron because he is one of the clutch player in the NBA who have a high IQ in basketball. If you will ask me, I would love to see him play, I don't know if I will like to see him playing with Bron.

He can still play but for me, he should already rest. In the past, Jordan came out of retirement and back to the NBA at the age of 38. Not that he is still in good shape but he is also a part of Washington Wizards franchise. Coming back will boost Wizards sale and it did. Tickets are sold out most of the time throughout the whole season even they are not even close in getting a playoffs spot. That's one of the reason aside from he miss playing basketball, he was challenged (Bryant's story) and donating all of his salaries into 9/11 attacks.

Now to Wade, he is now 37. In today's NBA, I doubt there is a team that will still sign him just because he is good and still in shape. NBA today is more of a business and rebuilding with young cores. And if let's say he will come back, he is 100% a bench warmer. It will give dirt to his legacy if he will just come back accepting a bench role just to play.  I want to see Wade play again but it's better if he will stay retired.

Knicks have been terribly run since 2000, they did have that lucky finals run as the 8th seed in 1999 but ended up losing to the Sours.  That whole ordeal with Isiah Thomas and Stephon Marbury was terrible, they were threatening to bring up dirt on each other.  The carmelo era which was a total letdown, the Jeremy Lin saga that brought them more hype but they didn't get much out of it.   Phil Jackson didn't do much except command a big salary for his "championship experience".  Most fans want Dolan to sell the team already and let someone else run it.
The Carmelo Era was the last time that they've reached the playoffs and after that there's nothing happen until now, the management failed to adjust which leading the team to lose fans and supporters, it's likely to say that nothing much to expect this year as the team mostly composed of new players that needs to showcase their individual  skills, another trial squad with no certain directions just needed to represent the franchise for this season.

They didnt took the risk which is something the fans didnt like.
It is like saying they dont have the money.
Cmon!, you are in New York and we need stars there. They are losing sales because of what they did.
Just the mere of signing in Durant could get you sales in jersey and shoes and a lot more. That is even if Durant aint playing this year.
Giving hope is something that the Knicks fans want right now since it had been a long time since they go for a championship.

What are you talking about?  The knicks are at the salary cap right now they didnt leave money on the books.  Not offering a max contract to Durant might be because of his Achilles injury for a guy who is going to be 31 when the season starts.  I'm ok with them not locking into him.  They have multiple first round draft picks and short term contracts on their books.  They ran into salary cap issues in the past, I'm ok with where they are at.  Let the kids play

Who's a fan of Dwayne Wade and Lebron at the same time? these two really has a close bond together.

--> https://www.nba.com/article/2019/09/08/dwyane-wade-los-angeles-work-out-train-lebron-james?collection=news

And aside from they are really close as a friend, Wade moved to Los Angeles that's why he can be involved to LBJ whenever he likes.

But I'm more concern about this:

Quote
While Wade says he's "done" playing professional basketball, his trainer is making him stay in shape, "just in case something happens."

"I’m going to stay in shape because you never know," Wade said. "Never say never.”

He is not done yet.

That's the difference between a player with leadership and a good attitude while playing inside the league, they will make a statement and make the entire associations to go wild and try to sign them up, DWade still on his shape though he's age already slowing him down but the intellectual capabilities is still high,  he can add leadership and good mental guidance to whichever team he will play.

Definitely, he still has a lot inside of him and even though he retired already, him and Bron can still play well together. I'm pretty sure if he shows intention for a comeback, a lot suitors will come knocking on his door because he has a lot to offer, specially the leadership part. Let's see how it goes, sometimes players has that final itch that needs to be scratch.

It has happened before, like Michael Jordan, he came back and play with the wizards as his team IIRC.
And this is the list of the famous players who came back after retirement, https://fadeawayworld.com/2018/01/09/top-9-nba-players-that-came-back-from-retirement/

Players in the list that I know since I've witness them play in their era.

1. Michael Jordan
2. Magic Johnson

Yeah,  read this article also and wade still have that passion in him because although he has already retired, he still bond with NBA friends playing basketball. I also read one article about JR Smith practicing with Lebron, I was thinking these two were not friends anymore after Smith did in the last NBA finals against the Warriors, LOL... but to be honest, I think JR smith deserves a second chance, if he will be able to play wit the Lakers, it should be nice because he is a deadly shooter especially when in rhythm.

On other news, Anthony Davis have been working with his threes. Ohh his going to be unstoppable if he perfects it.

He's still young and capable to work out with any developments that he wanted to add to his skills. This would be an interesting threat knowing that Lebron have this outside shooting percentage, then with the addition of Danny Green and Kyle Kuzma's,  improving his outside shots, Lakers would be  a team to watch out. Though it's already being hypes as a lot of talks regarding to this rebuilding process, but it can only be decided once the league already started and how this individual talents will show up inside the court.

Yeah and it looks like they are really going to focus on the passing ability of Lebron. More like a Magic Johnson kind of play.
His offensive capability might just be used if there is not much of a choice.
But still for me the Lakers lacks the players for a championship team.
Anthony Davis and cannot play that whole 48 minutes, specially Lebron who is aging.

Kuzma will be the real key to them, he also needs to upgrade his offensive awareness and I guess that FIBA games will really help a lot for him to mature.

Maybe not all dunks are disrespectful but COME ON CP3 dunking on Howard? That was so sweet. The disrespect usually comes from not caring about the defense enough to be afraid of them and doing something like they don't even exist.

Wade dunking on Varejao like he is not even there, CP3 dunking on howard , those are really disrespectful in the sense that normally you should be vary of where they are and try to avoid them because they could block you whereas these guys just didn't care. That's why some dunks are disrespectful, Vince dunk over Mourning was one of them as well, remember Mourning was considered one of the best blockers of his time and Vince just didn't give a damn. So yeah, dunks could be disrespectful, it all depends on the size of the defender.

Come on man, they are professionals and they know anything could happen in the court. Of course it includes being posterized by smaller guys than you. It's not disrespectful but its part of the game which is played by unbelievable players worldwide.

That bolded statement. Team owners should be responsible at least to try and chase at least either of the two (Durant or Kyrie). But we really don't know what's the reason that there are no negotiations in the first place.

It was a big let down for a historic franchise like New York Knicks to be just relegated years early on the sideline and not making any playoffs after Carmelo Anthony left. I'm sure that New York Knicks fans are very mad at this and blaming the organisations.

Yeah,it is like saying we dont want a championship this year. It is like admitting it when they said they will be using young players for now.

The fans are getting restless with it. It is freaking New York and it had been so long since they been ecstatic watching a championship game.

For me it's not disrespecting the defensive player, dunking is part of the game and when there is an opportunity to do it then do it because it would be a highlight on your career if you can dunk over a defensive player like Howard.

I saw a video of Michael Jordan dunking over Motumbo, that's normal for MJ dunking over guys in the middle but what make it extra ordinary is that Motumbo is a known blocker in the the middle and not easy to dunk on him.

For me it is not a disrespect, it is a statement.

It is NBA, we should expect great things from them and dunkong over each other should be natural since we are talking about talented and athletic players.

As you said, of they had the opportinity, they will be doing it. Sometimes they go overboard but we can't avoid that since we are talking about NBA here.

But the Carmelo Era with the Knicks is not the best in the career of Melo as an athlete.

He was more successful in his past team which was the Denver Nuggets because he has a reliable partner who can also produce some points.
I can still remember how Iverson and Melo played together and being competitive in the finals, Melo does not have the same player he can rely in Knicks that's why his stats are more better with the Knicks because he produce most of the points.

Prior to OKC and Houston, he averaged at least 20 points in the teams he played with, although with okc he played 78 games, but only averaged 16.2 points.
