AXIE INFINITY IS THE BEST!

The loss of Kevin Durant will weaken the roster of Golden State.
It was not a serious injury, it was just a bruised ankle and he can come back soon.
Actually today they proved that they didn't need the service of Durant to beat their closest rival in the west.

They were leading the entire game and the big 3 was hot tonight, they move the ball really well and that makes them a better team compared to the Rockets.

It only snapped Houston's 9 winning streak and GSW avoided a sweep from Houston this season. Cousins played very well with 27 big points to offset Durant's not playing. Although Houston was able to get closed in the dying seconds,  they fell short as there was not enough time for a comeback. I disagree though, they need everything they can get specially coming from Durant. They just have enough fire power today to hold on Houston.

But still, if Kevin Durant is in the floor Houston Rockets will no chance with that match or maybe the Rockets will win the match if Kevin Durant is on that game. LMAO

Remember that Suns are in the last seed in West but they beat the Warriors, Bucks and the LA Lakers with more than 5-10 leads. Hopefully, Suns makes playoffs next year.

They are really aiming Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Would that combo work and be good enough to win a championship? Hard to say at this point, but as long as the Warriors' roster is weakened, I'm up for it.  Grin
The loss of Kevin Durant will weaken the roster of Golden State. It's because KD is the best player on that team. Stephen Curry is just the leader of that team. Plus, Klay Thompson is a free agent after this season. That guy is unpredictable, we never know what will happen. If Durant-Green drama will live again, this will be bad for the team. If KD will leave, maybe Draymond will stay. If KD will resign, maybe Draymond leaves. But of course, we never know. Safe to say that GS will win another championship this season.

.....but as for now lets just enjoy watching the playoffs.

We will have a good playoffs this season, lots of good teams and no Lebron.
The east is good to predict than the west since they don't have a team that are dominating yet unlike in the past when Lebon was still with Cavaliers.
Though Giannis is playing well but we cannot conclude he will dominate the East, we have Leonard and Embid also who are making an impact to their team.

What I am afraid right now is the New York Knicks. After this season, we can say that they can get those free agents. They are really aiming Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. It's like a Kyrie and LBJ combination. Wow, plus resigning DeAndre Jordan. This will be a blast. What do you think?

Yes, there are a lot of rumors circulating around the Kevin Durant is being targeted by New York Knicks. And I think we can't forgot about the whole Durant-Green drama, in which Green questions Durant commitment to the team. But we can't say that for certain, it will still boils down as to how far Golden State will do this season, if they retain their title then I think Durant will have second thoughts of leaving the team.

Not only the Knicks will become a stronger team if that deal will happen, there are a lot of superstars that will hit the free agency next year. Notable teams would be the Knicks and the Lakers. Both team has a huge salary cap that could possibly land 2 superstars. It will another interesting free agency signing next season, but as for now lets just enjoy watching the playoffs.

No need to be afraid. If that move will happened then we can see more competitions at each team especially at the East. The talents will now spread and not just stick with just few teams. New York is kind of a weak team for more seasons to come if they will not make a move even they will have a good shot on next season's draft pick.

Take note that acquiring both Irving and Durant is not as easy as 1,2,3. These players both experienced championships so it's all depend on; "if the price is right".
When it comes to the price, I believe they can afford that than seeing their team sinking and slowly losing in the market.
They have been worst for many seasons already, the last time I remember they reached the playoffs was when Melo was with them, they need a change just like the sixers did. I'm sure the amount of money they will spend for these two is worth as both are clutch players and a real star.

It is not that easy to get those kinds of A listed players all on the same team, Lebron is great and Los Angeles is a great destination but getting Kyrie to play with Lebron is a whole new thing and narrative to begin with, it will be a tough sale, I think Kyrie going to Knicks is way more realistic because he wants to be his own boss. Klay on the other hand is quite impossible since dude is the bread and butter of Warriors when it comes to guarding the opposite teams guard.

For example, when they play against Rockets, even tough CP3 is great and all Curry defends CP3 and Klay has the role of defending Harden as well as he could, you can't make Curry defend Harden nor you can't make Durant defend him so Klay is needed. Klay will get his contract from Warriors for sure.

They are really aiming Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

These speculations have been somewhat confirmed by various reports over the past few months. I don't think Knicks would have traded Porzingis so easily, also quite unexpectedly, if they didn't get any indication of either Kyrie or Durant that NY is a destination they'd consider heavily in this offseason.

Here's a quote from Chris Haynes via nbcsports.com

The New York Knicks have a very good shot at luring KD away from the Bay Area. The reason I say that is his business partner, Rich Kleiman is based in New York, huge New York Knicks fan. Their business is located and based in New York. KD’s dad is a big New York Knicks fan. The same allure that LeBron had toward the Los Angeles Lakers – just the building, the culture – is the same thing, the same way, I know, that KD feels about the Knicks.

Would that combo work and be good enough to win a championship? Hard to say at this point, but as long as the Warriors' roster is weakened, I'm up for it.  Grin
If they can pushed this up chances from the east will be much higher to them, remember those years when MJ's first retirement, they manage to reached the finals but got defeated by the rockets, They will not let go of their future franchise player just for nothing, they are making their way to form a competitive line up next season.

Some of this losing games of the top seeds could be a strategy.
Yeah they let their stars play just for fans so that they will still watch the games. That is still income for the management.

Eyeing for which team you want to go against in the first round could be a good strategy. Weaknesses and strengths is where they will look at. Something like a team strong using a center and pointguard like Rockets and avoiding teams which have defensive players that could defend Capela and specially Harden.

Games will not be seen as a pure selling game, just the right amount of offense for fans to cheer at.
A great time to bet at lower seeds.  Grin

Just wait for next season, because I think Lakers are preparing something that could change the whole team.

Anyway, some dude over Reddit broke down Lakers 2019 free agency, you might want to check it out.

It would be interesting to see a Lakers team with LeBron, Kyrie and Klay Thompson together even though that's less likely to happen. Also Vuvevic I think would probably fit the team from the performances I've seen from him in last month. Anyway, looks like they have some options to choose and it could be any of those so let's just wait and see.
I don't want to expect big anymore coming from the Lakers, they had a big move this season but they disappoint us.

Lebron is not getting any younger, if you break down his play this season you can tell that his consistency is dropping, instead of the Lakers
I would look for a younger star like Giannis as he is very close to Lebron and possibly will become one of the greatest player in the NBA.

I would say that yes, it was really a big disappointment this year. Everyone was counting that Lebron will lead the young Lakers, anyways, there's a lot of things that happen beyond his control like his injuries and some of it's players so we can't really blame Lebron for everything but we remain optimistic and look for the next season.
As i said in my earlier post i dont think Lebron expected much from this young Lakers team. Of course he probably expected to reach at least the playoffs even if there their prestation would have been bad. Things didnt go as planned but everyone learns from mistakes and so will Lebron and the Lakers next season

If that would happen plus Davis from the list, think that lebron will have the team he always needs to, though you just said it, we can't assume yet that this line up can be form and if the free agency will be let go of other teams who's also eyeing to rebuild their lineups.

Still lots of things to expect as we are still long way to go before the finals, things will be change
after the season, Let's enjoy the current league.

He did his best, maybe pushing his body beyond that's why he gets injured so I agree that we don't need to put blame on him. As for Giannis, yeah he is the new face in the East since Lebron left and we all know that the kid has a lot of potential and I'm sure everyone would agree that he hasn't reached his prime and can still improved a lot in the next coming years. And we do hope that one day he can get a ring as well.
