Any team that will be getting Anthony Davis will get the best trade possible in preparation of next season as long as they get to keep some of their key players. Whether it is the Lakers or the Celtics they will have the perfect chance of offloading some of their players in order to free up some cap space in the upcoming free agency. The trade itself will attract a lot of free agents to that team as they know it's their best opportunity to win a championship. The 2019 free agency is really loaded right now with stars and I know some of them are willing to take a pay cut just to team up with a championship caliber team.

Davis got fined $50k for making it public by his agent he wanted out of the pelicans.

AD will make that money in less than one quarter.  Wink

Funny though, Jimmy Butler and the shenanigans that he pulled off before finally being traded, including 15min ESPN aired interview, got him no fines.

There are ways to declare your interest to get traded. Kyrie wanted out and got traded without getting fined. Jimmy Butler made a whole scene about leaving and got traded and did not get a fine. The only reason AD got fined is that he declared his interest publicly. Tell your team about your desire to get traded, if you want talk with some people like Woj and let them know you requested a trade but tell them to keep it a secret and you will be fine.

However you can't just let your agent tell it to whole world, its not allowed. Keep it a "secret" while getting it heard by someone close to you and get away with it, that is the way everyone does it. The organization had to fine him because its the rules and you can't let someone break the rules. You need to keep them law abiding. Should the rule change ? Sure, but since its not changed yet you can't just let them get away with it, it would be unfair to others.

He knows that even if he plays with other team, he will still get a better compensation as there are only few big men in the NBA who are as good as him.
Yup! He is one of the best power forward/center in the league. The demand for him was high that's why it's not surprising to know if Boston, Lakers and other teams are battling to get him.

Now that I've heard the possibility of AD being traded to Celtics, I become even more interested to him. If ever happened, Boston will be a power house for sure. However, I'm a little bit worried because I also heard a rumor about Kyrie's trading Sad.

That is alot for just a tweet. Undecided
Hardens streak ends tonight with a defeat from those pelicans.
From when I turned off the tv he had 27 points and only a minute and a half left to go.
Nah, the streak still continues as he hit a 3 point in the last minute or so and even finished the game with 37 points, although they have lost 121-116 to N.O. I think N.O. is still hoping that Davis will still sign with them though and it looks like they are going to battle it out, specially it was mentioned that Lebron and Davis has the same agent so it could be some conflict or something.
There is no chance that Davis will re sign, he publicly stage that he wants to be traded and that words is serious.

That's right, AD have the guts to demands coming from each team who's interested to have him, he's talent made him as precious as he is right now, only few big man can play like him, qualified himself to the tops stars of his decade better for him to play alongside with player/players who also have the same
caliber like him then begin to reign.

The Fine might be the spark for the trade that he  wanted to happen.

Huh Huh....Big for the organization, I think it damages them a lot to fine a player like that.
It's a small amount for AD since he got million dollars contract, and I'm interested to know if he violated a law for doing such, that is just expressing yourself freely IMO.  Angry

The same result even without AD, the team literally know how to beaT the Rockets.

Klay Thompson & Anthony Davis
I wasn't updated for a while and this is an interesting and big news for the whole league.

It will be a blast if these three including Lebron James will have a play. But it will take time before they get the taste of each other's play. If this will be on the news few days from now, expect the bandwagon's to come back to Lakers.

-snip-

All eyes still waiting for the final verdict whether AD will be at Lakers or set to find another team.
Everyone will be happy if news will be positive on the Lakers.
Davis asking to be traded so this young man is really desperate to have a championship experience.

The Lakers then might give up their young players, I hope Kuzma will not be included as he is a good outside shooter (consistent).
My suggestion in exchange for AD, send[1] Ingram,[2] Javale and [3]Ball, so they will have one [2] a consistent player also.

Zubacs will be develop as a back up center for AD, and maybe a main center.

They are continuing to rebuild their team and getting at least one of those two possible superstars (but it will be better if they get the two) will be a step closer for a title and really challenge GSW at the top.
I guess it will affect the betting line, I for the Lakers, they will be going higher as one of the favorites.
Before the season started, there was a betting line opened on who will win the NBA championship, and the warriors is still the favorite since they are the depending champ. I wonder if that line is still open now, maybe I can put some to the Lakers to win, if it can give me an odds like 8-10, I would go big.

I doubt that 8 to 10 odds.
Even with Lebron's injury they are still of one of the good contenders. They can win if their chemistry will be at its best.
Just the mere presence of Lebron in one team makes the odds change and it will be hard to get some profit out of it.

And that is also why I am just looking for another game to bet with. Those who are being under rated but yet have chances of winning.

Oladipo news, rupture quad tendon and will be out for the season. Darn it. I am getting my bets ready for this team and this is what happened.

That's is if they got AD or Thompson to play for them, then for sure the betting line will be affected. I would also give it a try if the odds are. very good as well, then why not? For now, let's just leave it as it is until it becomes official.
Even if without Thompson, AD Is already a big addition and it would move the line well.
Thompson is a good shooter but we don't know yet if he will be effective with the Lakers as they are not running the same play with the warriors.

Agree with AD's addition just in case, with rondo stephenson and mcgee, lebron will be able to have a good competition with teams around the west,
AD is still young and a flexible player inside and outside the ring same with Lebron two superstars with a good backups they can blend and make
the team a true contender with the crown.

Lakers basketball operation surely went through a lots of brainstorming for this expected trade.

I'm sure it's a no brainer to the management and trade those young prospects just to get the two players. I read that Klay Thompson is willing if (1) GSW doesn't offer him max contract (2) If Lakers landed Anthony Davis.

It will be a big line-up for the Lakers if those two play with Lebron and can compete against Golden State for the title. So let's continue to watch how this Anthony Davis unfolds, they have a game against Houston gonna be interesting how Davis will play today.
I'm sure a lot of fans would want this to happen.
This is going to be a big news in the NBA and Lebron will continue his journey to the finals (provided they beat the GSW).
If it's gonna happen that AD will be landed to LA, it's good for both and Lebron will make another record.

Definitely a lot of fans will hop on the bandwagon as well, been years that Lakers hasn't gone into the Finals that's why they got Lebron to help them after post Kobe era.

Klay Thompson & Anthony Davis

- big names that are now on trend that Los Angeles Lakers wants to target or (vice versa). Both players express their willingness.

And the exchange? Yes, the young core players of Lakers which involves Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandom Ingram, Josh Hart, KCP and nooo.. Ivica Zubac. This is a risky move, gambled and expect good hopes from young cores or released them to get a players which is currently on peak. Honestly I see that both options is good for Lakers but if we talk about "now", looks like acquiring peak players will be the one that will be prioritized especially with the current status of the team.
