I'm seriously doubting the Raptors ability to beat the Bucks though, would love someone to convince me otherwise!  Wink

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Don't talk about the Raptors vs Bucks series yet, we still have game 6 tomorrow and Embiid is healthy again.
This will reach into game 7, but honestly IMO, whichever team wins could not compete with the Bucks performance.
If Celtics only got 1 win, I think Bucks can sweep their next opponent.

Bigs of Bucks (Giannis, Mirotic, and Lopez) is hard to contain.

Dont underestimate Leonard and the Raptors this year.
Leonard offensive stats were averaging 38ppg on 62% shooting in this series. Remember, Raptor's big men were also a notable players ( Gasol, Ibaka, and Siakam). Kyle Lowry and Eric Bledsoe are both explosive point guard. IMO, Raptors vs. Bucks is a more entertaining match up.
On the other hand, the Celtics were underperforming throughout the series, most specially Hayward. He only averaged 7.4ppg.  and the Bucks are also outstanding this year. Enough reason for 4 straight wins against the Celtics.

I have to get back to this prediction post about underestamating the Raptors. It seems like the Bucks are lossing now, 1 more loss and they will be eliminated for the NBA finals. Those big men might hard to contain, but Leonard is on different level than them lol.

I agree. Leonard seems to have this ability to take over every 4th quarter win or loss. Similar to what Michael Jordan did during his prime with Chicago bulls.

Leonard is not a hype kind of a player.
The two candidates for MVP which is Harden and Giannis, could not match Leonard's ability to carry his team.
He doesn't force shots, he trust his teammates and that makes them very dangerous, I can say coach Pop were able to mold him into a great player.
Look at George Hill as well, he is just a bench player but he can take over and help his team to win, all coming from the Spurs.

I just saw the highlights of the firth game between Milwaukee and Toronto and I am really impressed with how Leonard is so amazing.
I thought he was injured and he won't be able to perform at his max, but he made it to bring th advantage to Raptors now.

It looks like the Raptors medical team are doing a great job keeping Kahwi's body able to still play at a very high level. How many minutes has the guy played already since their seven game series with the sixers?

Game 1 - 42 minutes
Game 2 - 38 minutes
Game 3 - 52 minutes
Game 4 - 34 minutes
Game 5 - 40 minutes

Average: 41.2 minutes already in the series. And the thing is, he is hurt, you can see him nursing some pain when he delivered a not so thunderous dunk because I'm sure he doesn't want to aggravate the injury more.

That's a lot of minutes but that is necessary as Leonard always took over in the 4th quarter.
Well, with that sacrifice they are making, I think it pays a positive result as they are in the lead now.

Bucks are just lost and the hype is gone and we can tell that by the line in game 6 where they are not the favorites anymore.

Good luck backers, looking forward for a good game, probably an OT and bucks to win, so game 7 will happen.

And then there are the bench players who came out of nowhere to help him early in the game like what VanVleet did in the last game, hitting clutch three's after three's.

Raptors steal a game on Bucks' home and they win 105-99.

It's their chance to be in the NBA finals,. wow! wasn't expecting this easy, was think Bucks will bounce back but they were not able to keep it until the end of the game. They have a big led early, but can't keep it... Leonard should be the MVP in the playoffs, provided they'll beat the warriors.
Bench players of the Raptors are very confident in shooting 3s that I didn't see tonight on the Bucks.
Didn't expect with that Venvleets player when shooting 3's for Toronto.Yes,they do have the lead but eventually the gap been closed out.
I agree that Leonard would be a strong candidate for MVP on this playoffs but its too early to say that they would able to beat up warriors
incase they would steal the ECF.
Speaking with Venvleets, he really made the big shot helping the team to pull over, this player was so amazing when making those important basket helping Kawhai on their quest to win against the buck inside their own court and take the lead from this series, if he will continue this shooting percentage chances to take this series will be much higher, as Kawhai don't need to push closer to the basket and let his teammates do the rest while taking care with Giannis.
VanVleet is the difference maker in game 5, 3 point shooting is their main weapon to beat the Bucks, they don's start good early but their shots are falling when they rally. That makes the coach of the Raptors to have a lot of option on their roster and it would be easy for him to manage their time.
They don't rely on the starters alone as their bench are producing well, and not only that, the defense is improving as well.

It is really crazy how big this whole Drake situation has become.  All he did was be passionate and rub the coaches shoulder and people on ESPN are acting like he went over the line. The bucks are indeed salty, the loss in on their shoulders and they shouldn't go around blaming passionate fans.
Fans are part of the game and they are pro's so they should not be affected with it. Drake is just making  fun of Giannis missing those free throws and not just missed, it is an air ball  Smiley. Blaming the loss to the fans is very lame excuse and i know they won't do that. The Raptors have just found the antidote to the Greek Freak and they are giving Giannis that jumper and he should make that with high percentage for the Bucks to win the series.

I can't believe people wrote off Raptors as soon as they got down 2-0 in the series

I think it's normal for people to write them off after the first two games, not because they lost both games but the manner in which they lost the games, they easily could have won game 1, I can remember vividly that Raptors were leading for most of the game and towards the end of the third quarter Raptors had a 10 points lead before a terrible 4 quarter performance which saw the lost the bame by 8 points despite taking 7 points lead in to the 4th quarter.

In game 2 they lost by 22 points margin and could only win a single quarter, lost in two consecutive quarters by double digits.

I doubt any anyone could have easily expected them to stage such a come back after those 2 games.

I can't believe people wrote off Raptors as soon as they got down 2-0 in the series, not only they have beaten bucks twice in a row on their home court they also managed to gain one game advantage over them on bucks court as well.

This is where it gets very tricky, now they are going north and they are going to play in Toronto which means Toronto actually has a big chance of winning this game and going to finals right away, that would give them some resting period as well which would be awesome for raptors and considering Durant is the biggest threat in warriors (don't know if he will still be out or not on the finals) raptors at least have Kawhi that could potentially slow him down.

Amazing Thicc boi at point guard to guard curry with some rough plays and Danny green as one of the best three and D players to respond to Klay as well so raptors match up with warriors as perfectly as it gets. However, if bucks win then 7th game will be in bucks court and I doubt raptors will be capable of another upset on bucks court in one series.

Gianis still have that fear or hesitation to score in the paint. Why the hell is he stopping?
The Greek Freak is getting afraid of an offensive foul. Damn Lowry keeps on getting in front him and tries to take the charge.
I just hope he gets back his confidence. I want to see slam dunks again, like every minute. Grin

It is the defense of Raptors that won't let him do what he normally does. Every time he drives, 4 bodies automatically box him from the paint. Any player will have a hard time scoring in that scenario. That is why it is important for the outside shooters of the Bucks to make the bucket. That what made them win in Game 1 when Lopez made his 3s.

Right, that's why he settled for jump shots and even 3 point. Looks like this is one weakness of Giannis as he can't go one on one, he need some kind of momentum, unlike Kobe or James who can go on any player one on one specially if there is a mismatch in front of them.

Anyways, they really need to win the next game and force a game 7. I don't know what strategy they need to adjust, they have 0-2 advantage and can't seem to get a win after that.

Majority talks about Kawhi Leonard but someone in the Raptors too did some big performance why they won which I also didn't expect.

I'm talking about Fred VanFleet. His hot shooting from the 3PT area (7 out of 9) is one of the reasons why Raptors able to narrow down the lead. He's also part of Kawhi's 9 assists. So unusual to see this guy doing consecutive shots on the rainbow area, at least on my observation.

Anyways, Kawhi Leonard is now almost on a 3rd rank on Toronto Raptors franchise playoffs score leaders history. Kyle Lowry and DeRozan are Top 1 and 2 with 1,100+ points. Kawhi has 500+ points and this is only the first time he played for the Raptors in the playoffs. What the hell, he can literally outshine all Raptors players if he will stay on the team.
No questions to Kawhai's capabilities, he's dedication can pay everything out, glad to see that the supporting help coming from his teammates already been provided, they are showing what Kawhai bring them up, he's leadership makes the team very eager to win each games that they've got.

The raptors sure had minimized Giannis output but still they lost to the other match-up. Lopez step up his game and also Bledsoe has done well in breaking the raptors defense. Though it's too early to celebrate but I guess it's a Buck's series and they will end it in 5 games.
Lopez connecting from outside makes them loss. Maybe aside from putting Giannis on hold, they should top Bucks from making outside. Well, we are still in game1, Eastern isn't as predictable that much compared to Western. I believe this series will be done in 7 in favor of Raptors, yeah I believe in Kawhi finals experienced.
This is the reason why I predicted Kawhi and Raptors will going to Finals. They have taken the lead in series from 2-0. Now, my prediction is getting near in becoming true. If they can sustain their play in next game, which I think they can. Then, they can rest before facing Warriors.
That would be a short rest only, but Leonard seems alright, that minor injury is not bothering him. I think Iggy would have a tougher job to guard Leonard in the series, well, Zaza Pachulia who injured Leonard is not anymore in the warriors, so he might be able to play in the whole series, but hoping Draymond would not play his dirty tactics in the game.

Cmon. It is not just Draymond who does that. All of them are dirty when they want to stop the player but just cannot do it. Hell Kawhi might have also intentionally make Gianis bleed. Grin

I hope fans of Kawhi wont get mad at me. Just kidding.

Gianis still have that fear or hesitation to score in the paint. Why the hell is he stopping?

He cannot do his usual attack and spin move because the Raptors are smart enough to double or even triple him.
Sometimes it will result to a turnover so his confidence got lowered, his chance to score is better only in put back or when he is open, the Raptors just find the right way to defend Giannis but the Bucks failed to stop the scoring of Leonard, that despite Leonard is having a minor injury.
