I forgot more than you will ever know.

This may be slightly off topic, but does anyone here think the 100 point record set by Wilt Chamberlain will ever be broken?  I thought it was eventually  going to happen after I saw Klay Thompson score 39 points in a quarter but it still hasn't happened.  In today's era of 3 point shooting I think its only a matter of time.

I believe it will fall sooner than expected. In the next few seasons I hope!

However this wouldn't necessarily be good since it would mean that one team would be really better than the competition.
Big lack of suspense.

Let's talk about the NBA-All stars.

It's between Team Giannis Antetokounmpo and Team Lebron James. They have been selected as team captains for two sides.

Western Conference starters
Steph Curry (Warriors)
Kevin Durant (Warriors)
Paul George (Thunder)
James Harden (Rockets)
LeBron James (Lakers)

Eastern Conference starters
Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks)
Joel Embiid (76ers)
Kyrie Irving (Celtics)
Kawhi Leonard (Raptors)
Kemba Walker (Hornets)

What do you say? I'm with Team LBJ.  Smiley

I am very happy to see Giannis Antetokounmpo as the captain of the Eastern region. However, it is kinda sad to see only one player in the All-Star Game from the team that leads East. I also thought that Lebron James can't be a captain for a second consecutive season. Wasn't that a rule?
I will support Team Giannis because he is a great player but I think that Team James is going to win. Westerns are stronger with greater players in all the positions.

Also rooting for the west to win. I'm surprise PG get the start but he deserved that spot since he has been playing like an MVP lately.
I wonder what the line would be for the West to win in the All star, I'll definitely put my bet on them regardless of the line.

So who will play the Center position, is it gonna be Lebron?
Durant for sure. Yes, PG has been playing MVP levels as of late so there's no surprise there. What a solid first five. Of course I will go for the West to win the All Star, no disrespect to the East though, but West are pretty much stack up.

Whoah the east is pretty stacked as well plus they have a pure center in their starting 5 whereas the west are guards and wing. And i don't believe talent-wise that the west are better oh no. It's going to be pretty interesting. Though i would've loved to see drose start instead of steph 😁

How about Lakers now. Rondo is back and Kuzma cannot score.
Luke Walton might want to separate those two in his line up.
They were doing great without him and the energy is there. Now there is no more. If I were a Lakers player I will try to injure that finger of Rondo again while on the locker room. Grin
They need Lebron and without him the losing streak will continue.
We've seen how they play today, they are very aggressive at the beginning but when the opposing team had a double digit lead, they seem to relax on defense, they're not willing to win in a hard way, they are still very soft so they need a leader who can do all the things needed on the floor.
That's the problem with chemistry, they needed lebron to blend that with his leadership he can contribute the ball or he an easily attack to gain momentum, not sure about kuzma and rondo might need to play more along together and start communicating so when they needed each other's
back  they can contribute well, this losing streak needs not to be taking for granted, they need to go back in the winning streak.

There are two reasons why it doesn't really mean he is going to Lakers. First of all even though Lebron joined Lakers he had a house there for YEARS as far as his first Clevland times, which means even tough Lebron finally came here he had that house for years before coming here, Kawhi could join Lakers but also chance of him not joining for couple more years even maybe ever.

Also, another big point is that Kawhi maybe doesn't like the Lakers organizations way of handling his situation last season and wanted to be there but Lakers didn't give up on their young players to get Kawhi so maybe Kawhi still wants to be in Los Angeles (which is what he really wants) and could go to clippers.

Not like clippers is an amazing team but with Kawhi there and some more additions they could be a good playoff team, he already has both a ring and a fmvp so maybe playing on playoffs will be enough for him. Long story short a house in Los Angeles doesn't instantly means Lakers.

Well said. And Ingram or Kuzma do not show this quality of a team leader. They are just to young to do it and the time Lebron has been away has shown it. They put Ingram in charge two games ago and they lost. Kuzma isnt a consistent player himself so he is not even considered.
Maybe a Lonzo Ball but he hasnt been around the league long enough to have the experience that comes in being a leader

As everyone knows Kawhi Leonard is one of those players which are important for their franchise teams whose contracts are ending after the season is over. Lakers and Lebron are looking for more of these players to join the team.
And with news today has Kawhi buying a home in Southern California.
https://dailyhive.com/toronto/raptors-kawhi-leonard-california-house
It is about two and half hours away from the Staples center but still. It is a possibility he might be picked up by LA on the offseason.
That would be great, Lebron and Leonard playing together make them a tough team to beat.
Unfortunately, these are just rumors, there is no certain information that would link to a close possibility about signing with Lakers.

I agree that this is just a rumour for now. Buying a house in California doesn't mean that Kawhi will instantly move to LA and join the Lakers.

He is doing great in Toronto so it doesn't make sense to move to another team. And the salary cap will be too much as well so I don't think its feasible at this point. Let him enjoy his MVP performance in Toronto and bring the Raptors to the ECF.
Agreed.
There are about 12 other big name players whom are going to be free agents which Lebron and LA are shopping around for.

Lakers has no chance without Lebron James.
They were competing with the Timberwolves in the first 3 quarters but in the 4th they got dominated.
It's still a young team who doesn't know how to maintain the composure especially in the closing quarter... I just notice also that Timberwolves are getting better now since their head coach was fired, K-Town was very useful tonight dominating the paint.

Damn, after Paul George and Gordon Hayward injuries now major injury again happened in Pacers roster Victor Oladipo: https://www.facebook.com/kamotegamingph/videos/1985114361544446/
I didn't watch the whole video you shared, I hate seeing that kind of serious injury, it could be a career ending but I hope he will recover like George and Hayward. Today, we have an advance medication so I guess he will be alright, but I still cannot watch it,  Cry Cry Cry Cry

NBA is not entertaining with these kind of injuries but it's a physical game so we can never discount the possibility.

It wasnt that bad when seen in the game. But with all the cameras somehow they got a better look at it. Still not bad though unlike how it is with Paul George.

It was like the kneecap of Oladipo just shaked and he really felt that his leg became like a rubber. Just imagining it already hurts.

That accident thing happen with Oladipo will change the path of his career, lets pray that same thing will happen to him as we seen how george and hayward recovers with serious injuries and still playing same alike with their prime, Oladipo is one of those players who brings momentum to his team
when he played well his team mates plays the same level, a big lost for indiana, prayers for this young star.
Not a fan of Oladipo but such injuries would really make me sad while looking on how painful it was. The scream that he did while sitting on the floor was over for me. Before the take off with Siakam, he's foot slid first that led him to unbalance position while moving.

Let's hope that there will be no more intense injuries like these players went through. I wish a quick recovery will happen to Oladipo and to the others that has it, whether it's minor or major injury.

Right, the sad is that he injured right at the peak of his career. I'm not saying its a career ending injury, but I'm sure it will have a drastic effect on him psychologically. As someone mentioned, advancement has been made in sports science so that's a advantage for him.

It's really a big lost for Indiana as he is their franchise player, so they need to adjust and someone needs to step up to cover his absence.
