As for Beal, he will be out for a few weeks, and it's good that it wasn't that serious at all. It's just a bit unfortunate that in all of their 25 games, Durant, Beal, and Booker only played 1 game, and they lost on that one as well. I wonder if this might be the same as what happened with the Nets when they still got Harden, Irving, and Durant.

Beal hasn't come back fully yet and he was injured again. I wonder how it would affect his confidence now knowing that he hasn't contributed to the team yet. It was always been Durant and Irving who  had consistent contribution to the team, but without Beal which they gave up players for him, I doubt the Suns will have a chance to be in the championship this season, even if Durant and Booker would play like their usual.

Afterward, Suns coach Frank Vogel said that X-rays were negative.

This is the only good news! At least there's still a chance.

It's painful to watch this Pistons. Bucks made 30 points difference in just 14 minutes. I know I should've bet for them at -20.5 handicap but I couldn't. There's no place for emotions in that. Meh, let's enjoy the game. Beauchamp started good, now Portis is feeling himself. They don't even need Giannis tonight.

It’s hard to imagine that a team of professional athletes can win so few games and lose so badly. It’s like they’re not trying to win games…

I was bummed to see that Bradley Beal was injured again yesterday. Looks like he only got 4 minutes on the court with Durant and Booker. I hope he gets healthy soon and there was some silver lining as he shot 2-2 for 6 points while draining a 3 and a free throw for a 4 point play that left him injured.
For me, they aren't professional players, but from what I see, they're like a bunch of collegiate players that are playing in the NBA.
I mean how can a team have a losing streak of 23 games? If it's a winning streak then that's something that they can be proud of, but a losing streak of 23? What the hell is wrong with the team? I wonder how the Pistons fans are feeling right now when they see their team have this kind of achievement... a negative achievement. Cheesy

The record is 28 games, and they're now on 23. Their next 6 games will be against Phoenix, Atlanta, Utah, Brooklyn 2x, and Boston. Out of the 5 teams they'll be facing, the highest chance of them winning is against Utah which is kind of having a rough season as well. The rest will just demolish them. TBH, we might see the 28-game losing streak to be broken by this Pistons team. That's how awful they are right now.

Finally, the Warriors was able to get a win in their homecourt. But it was not that easy, as the Nets come back in the 3rd and close it out in the 4th quarter. Intense moment in the last 3 minutes or so. The Nets are good at double teaming Steph Curry, not allowing him to hold the ball.

But it was Klay scoring back to back 3's, and t hen once Curry got hold of the ball, he didn't waste a time to score and put them in a good lead. And  then Kuminga with a good defense against Bridges, I thought that Bridges will score to tie the score. But Kuminga's defense alter Bridges shot and then Curry nailing the final nail in the coffin to win this hard game.

Draymond Green has a $100 million 4-year deal. There's still a yearly computation because NBA salaries usually increase each year until the whole contract is consumed. So Green is averaging $25 million per year and paid around $300k per game. His 5 days suspension when he choked Gobert cost him over a million then. Yet here he is again punching someone in the face.

So it seems like losing a million doesn't bother him at all. Well tbh, if I have around $200 hundred million worth of assets and another $100 million coming into my bank account in the next few years I wouldn't mind losing a few million as well, especially when I bet a lot.

I mean I am not sure if he has 200 million in assets and 100 million is coming though. There is a possibility that he didn't spent his salary so far wisely, and spent it on silly stuff and is not a rich person, obviously he is not poor like us, but there is a very real possibility that he may not have the sufficient funds to keep living like he is living now. He is making a lot of money now, so he does spend most of it, but he may not put aside enough. Plus, we need to remember the agent cut, the accountant cut, the taxes in California being super high, all means that he is not making nearly 100 million, after all the tax, I would be shocked to learn if he gets 50 million for 4 years, which ain't a lot in professional basketball world at NBA level. So every game he misses hurts his finances even if he cares or not.

Knicks had a great win last night at the Suns.  Crazy how they got shredded up by the Jazz and then go handle theor business in Phoenix.  Second night of a back to back west coast away game will be tough against the Clippers.  After that it's the Lakers.  First real test of the season on this trip. Brunson looked real good last night let's see what he does tonight.

Unless there's a strong power behind that will be sided to green's favor, I guess there's changes with this suspension I mean that indefinite might be change to a lighter conviction and we will see him play in an earlier time frame.

We don't know what can happen as Green's attitude is no longer good especially there are many young fans that are watching, they might think
that it's okay to play and idolize the way Green showcasing his stuff.
His attitude will not change.

What we've seen from him, won't change instantly and he's just being him. That's why I doubt it that he'd come up with a change for his attitude because he's not even showing remorse as if it's a natural action from him when he's guarding Nurkic and the others that he'd done physically.

Yes, basketball is a physical game but not intentionally done to the opposing side.
That's the issue, he has been suspended before, this dude has a "dirty draymond green highlights" video, and not like it's just a few stuff, it's all seasons throughout and plenty of videos, from 10 years ago until now and he still does it. It means that he doesn't learn from anything, he doesn't get better, he has been doing this since he got to the league and he has been suspended before and he will keep doing it.

Many years ago people thought he was a tough defender that did very well, even defended centres very well with his lack of size, now everyone can see that he did dirty moves to manage that and put fear into other players. I think he should be waived and let go from the league all together but we all know he will not and that's the biggest issue.

Yes, he has been doing this for years now, suspended and the be back in the league. But this season, it's a very different Green and we can see that he is more aggressive toward other players and that is really dangerous to the league and players itself. It's like every night, he will do it, to hurt someone intentionally.

To be fair though, he was a good defender, because he has high IQ, knows how to get into someone's head. But it's totally different now when Green is old and can't catch up unlike before that's why he resorted to this so style of his basketball that initially looks like he didn't do it intentionally, but the reply shows otherwise.

Good job Spurs, finally the losing streak is over!
Give some love to the Wizards as well because they also ended their 6 game-losing streak when they won against Indiana.
It's just a bit funny that the 2 most-bottom teams won against the 2 teams that faced in the In-Season Tournament.

As for the Pistons, the losing streak continues and they're now at 22. I guess they are trying to break the current losing streak record which is 28. Cheesy I also saw a Facebook post regarding an ad on the Pistons saying "If the Pistons win, all will get 5 Boneless Wings." I mean it's kind of funny that they're even giving free food when their team wins. Cheesy
I was kind of surprised when I saw the results too but when I checked the roster and saw the roster that Anthony Davis didn't play, I understood it.
Still, that's a big one for the San Antonio Spurs because LA Lakers without AD is still a decent team, especially with Lebron James who looks like he ain't even aging at all.  Grin
A good win for the young guys and I bet Coach Pops is happy with the results.

Washington Wizards. Yeah. Against a fast-paced team like the Indiana Pacers, I was shocked. I mean, they played really great offensively. Yeah, there was less defense but that's how you play against a team that also relies on offense. Jordan Poole with 30 points, Kuzma with 30, and the best player who facilitated all that, Tyus Jones, a triple-double for the smallest player on that floor.  Grin They played speed against speed and there's no doubt they can do that with Poole, Jones, and Kuz they can somehow keep up with Haliburton but the really best part is, that the Wizards played like a team, they kept on rotating the ball like all of them played for 10 years with each other and I hope they can keep up that type of energy every game.

I think the Warriors management didn't realized that Draymond will turn out to be their problem for this year. They let go of Jordan Poole because of his attitude from last season although they offered him a good contract. So if by chance, the Warriors might also be thinking of that kind of scenario, maybe trading Green or what and then it will signal the end of the dynasty.

Reports also surface that the Warriors offered Klay Thompson, (I forget the numbers), but Klay turn it out. So if Klay performing this way (mediocre to say the least), he too can be traded or be in the trade block soon.

Isn't that already over? Warriors is far from play-off this season and they are far from their bright days since covid season. They should start rebuilding as soon as possible. Obviously they can't get past first round even if they make play-off with this roster. They have good young players like Kuminga and Podziemski but Klay, Curry, Green days are over. You can win some games but can't win play-off rounds with 33+ year old veteran players. Chris Paul will soon realize he came to a finished team in his last season.

I do believe the same and it was obviously since first couple of games that GSW won't do good this season and I doubt they will even catch play-offs. Regarding Green , I hope I will never see him on the court playing basketball because he is not a good example for younger generation. If we were in the 80's , maybe his style would have had another impact outside basketball but nowadays you can't promote a guy like him...

The interesting thing to me about Draymond Green’s suspension is that it is indefinite. I can’t recall ever seeing the NBA do this type of suspension before. I think it’s a good thing as long as he doesn’t come back next week and I think it shows the league actually cares about his mental health a bit. I also think if they suspended him longer for the Gobert choking, this may have been avoided.
I did a quick research, but I can't find as well.
The last time that I heard of a player being suspended indefinitely was not in the NBA, but in our local league (PBA) where a player got suspended indefinitely because of clotheslining an import. IIRC, he got suspended for at least a year or more after that incident. Now he's back and isn't as violent as he was before the suspension.

As for Draymond, they didn't specify the number of games that he will be missing, but I guess it will be at least 25 games. Maybe even more, maybe way less, but one thing's for sure, his absence will greatly affect the Warriors' defense, and there's no player in the Warriors right now that can be as good as Draymond in terms of defending. I just don't like how he's playing throughout this season TBH, and I will not be surprised if this incident will be the catalyst of the management breaking the core of Steph, Klay and Dray. I mean even Coach Steve Kerr had enough of his antics already.

When you get a suspension, it is automatically cut from your salary, NBA players get paid per game basis and not per year basis to be fair, we do talk about per year basis because its easier to make the calculation that way, but they actually do get paid per game. That means, if you play all 82 games and you get paid 82 million (nobody does, just to make it easy example) that means you get paid 1 million per game. Injury doesn't count into that, if you get injured then you get paid every game as well, but on the game day, not beforehand, not afterwards. So when you are suspended, that means it will be cut from your salary, or at least that's the normal conduct, don't know if warriors would make a special case for Draymond and pay him, but they do have the right to not pay him if they do not want to, its in the contract.

Yeah, but it's not about the money, if Green is thinking that he can pay the fine. But the effect of his action, his team suffers, everyone around him, specially the Warriors management who might be re-thinking on what they sign him for that massive contract.

And he can still be traded though and that could be the worst thing that can happen to him.

So he better think his action here, yeah he is a tough guy but sometimes there is a bonderline. He should seek help and comeback to help the Warriors as obviously they are struggling without him.

He probably didn't care as he wasn't suspended the first time, Draymond had a problem that needs to be fix and the NBA will assure he will only be able to come back once he fulfill all the conditions. Draymond is an NBA champion, won championships with the Warriors being one of the leaders, so this is a huge blow for the Warriors as a team, not only that Draymond loss millions due to this suspention that he won't be paid for not playing, but more so, the damage he brought to the team because of this reckless action.

The Warriors have a mediocre performance this regular season, and the fact that they lost Green indefinitely will probably make their spot in the standings even worse. Does Green realize his responsibility to his teammates and that his actions only hurt the team? I doubt it.
Maybe someone will disagree with me, but I think the Warriors management made a mistake signing such a big contract with him. I mean, they could have used that $100 million to sign a few good players who would have been much more useful on the court than Green.

They aren't gonna make it to the playoffs, even with Draymond playing good basketball, they've already showed their inconsistency. Only Curry was consistent so far and we've seen he could not carry this team when the rest are playing below their average.

Players that needs to step up like Klay Thompson, Wiggins, and even CP3, the team payed their players with a significant amount and yet they aren't producing what is expected.

Maybe someone will disagree with me, but I think the Warriors management made a mistake signing such a big contract with him. I mean, they could have used that $100 million to sign a few good players who would have been much more useful on the court than Green.

It was only a mistake because of what happened to Draymond, but did the management expected it? No, because during their run, I mean everytime they win a championship, Draymond always had a big contribution. Even remember when the Warriors lost to the Cavs in the NBA finals because Draymond was suspended one game when he hit Lebron in his sensitive area.

Chet Holmgren in this match did appear very impressive and he managed to provide 21 points for the Thunder victory over the Warriors, but to say that he deserved ROY is premature assumption.
It just that in the Thunder previous match Chet couldn't perform as well as against the Warriors, but at that time the Thunder lost to the Houston Rockets and Chet was only able to score 4 points.

This is the KIA ranking unpdated on November 30, 2023, and it says that Chet has maintain it's spot at the number 1.

https://www.nba.com/news/kia-rookie-ladder-nov-29-2023-edition
But Chet only plays very well against certain team, he can't dominate every game, wouldn't that affect his ranking?
Based on the KIA ranking, Chet indeed still maintains his first position, but this is based on last month.

The Warriors should have had big chance to win and when I saw they had the advantage I cheered because the Warriors were finally able to avenge their defeat in the previous meeting, but apparently they failed and all the advantages were reversed by the Thunder.
I also don't know why Green did all that but there must be certain purpose to what he did, it just that it is very unacceptable.

To many people expect them to win on that match up but unfortunately they didn't sustain it and create a lot if mistakes. We see how inconsistent the Warriors this season and they are now speculated to be in huge trouble if they cannot fix all the issues they are facing now. Unfortunate thing happen on side of Green since he commit a huge mistake in that play that's why OKC take the momentum and get the huge win against Warriors.

I can say that after all the performance done by Chet this season for sure he is the fans favorite to win the ROTY.  Maybe to early to tell since there's a lot might happen but I guess Wemby can't surpass him now knowing there's a lot of frustrations happening on side of Spurs.
Seeing that all the Warriors fans looked so disappointed by the defeat because they should have won.
But it was true that there were quite lot of mistakes that occurred which allowed the Thunder to turn things around by taking advantage of these mistakes to create opportunities to get more points.
Looking at the public discussion, many people really regret what happened to Green, but everything has happened so it can't be changed at all.
The only way to restore good talk is to make some improvements and prove that in future matches the Warriors must be able to optimize their game more by winning.

Even though Chet is the favorite, it is still too early to say that he will get the ROY, although I admit that he is also player who is strong candidate for this award.

Well, he's just going to let it pass and he's good again when the suspension is lifted. If this suspension goes until the end of the season, he'd definitely reflect on it as it seems he's near to his retirement. How old is he now? 33? So close to retirement I guess with this age and not doing the right thing to protect the legacy he'll leave if there's any.

I'll just wait if there will be news about until when is going to be this indefinite suspension is going to be.

Because if it just going to be a few games, come on and shame on the NBA management.

Yeah, Michael Redd, lefty right?
Yeah, I kind of getting some flash backs now.
As long as the Bucks is going to play it right, they will be a scary team. And this is what we should have been expecting from them in the beginning, Him and Lillard teaming up to be one of the most formidable teams.

But it take some time to really have that kind of blending, and then the roster settling down on their roles, like Middleton and Lopez. We might see another breaking scores from other players too this season and this could just be a start.
Super scary team. A threat on both inside and outside, they can spread the floor as much as they like and Brook Lopez has a good shooting range, they cannot just leave him alone in the three-point line.
Then, their bench is not to be messed with too. Bobby Portis, Malik Beasley, and Cam Payne. These guys are good even if they are playing limited minutes.
Chemistry is all they need and I like how unselfish Giannis is, he literally stepped back for Damian Lillard and let him handle the plays which actually worked out for the whole Bucks team.
Now, Giannis can rest well knowing they have another star who will secure the game if they are in the lead. Lillard is also playing better, his average score is going up slowly and I am pretty sure he feels better now that he got the help that he had been longing for. All he needs to do now is keep himself healthy until they reach the Finals.
