The Suns are absolutely dominating free agency already.  With their trade exceptions it looks like they may be able to sign 2 more decent veterans before the season starts.  Some names are being tossed around but I'd personally like to see them grab Dwight Howard (I honestly believe the guy was blackballed from the NBA for his locker room antics and not his skills).  If they do manage to grab 2 big names and toss them on the bench as role players, I think they're going to be difficult to beat.  The west is looking pretty stacked again this year.  At the moment it looks like it's going to come down to the Suns and Nuggets to see who gets to play to win it all...

Phoenix Suns have signed a 1-year contract with Bol Bol.

Phoenix Suns are considering Bradley Beal as their point guard next season.

Phoenix Suns have sent Cameron Payne to the San Antonio Spurs.
San Antonio Spurs: Cameron Payne, Future second-round pick and cash money.
Phoenix Suns: Future second-round pick

I think it's a bold move by Phoenix to traded Cam Payne, I think they don't believed that Payne could really be a good guard for them. Of course he has been mentored by CP3, but since he is gone, then I guess they have to traded him too.

I say it's a good move since they have a lot of future picks with that trade.

And then acquiring Bol Bol could also be advantageous for him. At least Bol Bol has proven himself to be a good scoring if needed by the team.

Nice, Bol Bol goes to a team with teammates that he can work well properly.

I really dont get why people loves and hype so much about bol bol, for me he is pure trash. He doesnt have the good movement that NBA requires, its not only about height, he lack that movility and also some tactis( but this can be learned). I can see him going from team to team without so many minutes and ended up on Japan or Australia, no much more.
It's okay if that's what you see on him. He's on the league and signed a million bucks for a year contract, that's still nice of him despite that he's out of the Magic and found a new home. I even thought that GSW is going to make the space for him but it seems that Phoenix got him first.

The guy is still new to the league and I agree with cryptomaniac that the hype that Wemby has made for tall rookies had also affected him. That's why the fans are hype to see him go around and wanting to know where he's going to go.

That's why having these good teammates could also bring his career on a better place. As we all know that Suns did a good finisher last season.

I wonder why the Magic traded him. I mean Bol played his best year in their team, and he got more popular because of how the fans love him.
Anyway, I just hope that the Suns will give him minutes to play, and at least showcase his talent because TBH, him and Wembanyama are kind of like the same. Same that are thin, can shoot threes, can handle the ball, a good passer as well. It's just unfortunate that the hype at that time was on Wemby well in fact, Bol Bol can also do what he can do.

With Payne out on the Suns, they wanted Beal to be their PG next season. I don't disagree with this, but I think Booker would be a better PG than him if they don't have a choice. There are some games in the playoffs where Booker made plays, and he's a good passer as well. That just shows that he can be a PG as well though not as good as CP3, but the good thing is he can pass the ball, but he can erupt, and score 30 if given the opportunity.

Overall, it looks like the Suns are going all in with their roster right now getting 4 superstars, and a talented role players. Definite a team to watch out in the West this upcoming season.

It's because probably of his father's name. Or maybe he is really that good but he was not given a chance to blossom in the Magic uniform. You can look at his highlights and see if for yourself.

And another reason could be is the Wemby effect, this rookie is tall like Bol Bol can dribble the ball as well. And again, we've seen that kind of talent from Bol Bol before. I guess it's good that he had at least a year to show his talent again in Phoenix uniform and hopefully he will be given playing time.

They won't go after Howard now that they signed Bol Bol. Howard would have been more of a dominant presence down low but he is probably more of an injury risk. Suns need players that can stay healthy especially near the playoffs. I would really love to see them win 1 ring.

I know that Dwight Howard can still perform impressively at times and his presence will indeed add the team some power especially in the defensive strategy but we cannot deny as well that he is already aging and is not expected anymore to play that much just like how he did in the past years as he is also prone to injury nowadays especially when the games are intense that requires him to be in his best in consecutive games. On the bright side, the Phoenix Suns did what is right for the team, having Bol Bol is indeed a plus.

Looks like the Phoenix Suns have addressed they’re not having a backup center by signing Bol Bol to a one year deal. This means they probably won’t be going after JaVale McGee in the free agent market. It also means that DeAndre Ayton had better not get too comfortable on this roster. I am excited that the Suns got Bol Bol though. He’s like a more developed version of Wemby.

It's actually a sneaky good pick up.  He can run the floor for 20 or so minutes and provides outside shooting too.  The difference between ayton and bol bol will be tough to match up against.  Guess that's why they traded away cam to open up cap space.  Suns definitely in a win now mode.

The only thing they should do is to make it all happen because they will not get anywhere or to the desired position if they are just imagining these things. What they need is a proper communication to provide much deeper contact, and that will somehow change things for them and so that the team will indeed benefit. They already have a good roster, they just needed to win the games consecutively.

The LeBron James number story is a bit of a strange one when you consider the timing of it. If memory serves me correctly though, he actually wanted to do this immediately after Bill’s death and before the season started last year, but I believe it was Nike or the league or some company told him no because they already had so much #6 merchandise ready to go.

That's a bad idea to buy his jersey then when they only know that he will gonna change to number 23 again because not only his jersey, I believe his Nike shoes also have his jersey's number. Well! that's just how they do business and right now most people who had bought those merchandise will be buying some of it again when they release it. We cannot blame those people because LBJ is no doubt one of the living legend who is still playing right now and to gather as much of his merchandise is merit and prestige for the NBA fans.

There is no need for this big companies to fret if the living legend will have his number change again because Lebron James's merchandise will always attract people who would want to buy his jersey, numbers won't matter that much because the name will already suffice. In-fact, Lebron James's merchandise is the most sought by the basketball fans and it is sitting on the top for a decade now.

Bol is a good pickup for them. I didn't really understand why the Magic waived him, he got skills, range and is tall as a tree. Basically a similar guy like Wemby. He only has a reputation of being somehow lazy, that's at least what was heard after the Nuggets sent him away. I hope he worked on that. In Orland he looked ok and had some decent numbers off the bench.

If he works on his decision making and mindset he can have a decent career in the league. Lets see if he can finally prove himself.

Oh and he had an ugly axx suit when he was drafted, maybe that haunted him, hahaha.

I believe Bol Bol will improve himself at the Phoenix Suns. Experienced teammates will help him. I don't think he's a bad player, I think there's still hope in him.

Big contract for Jaylen Brown.

I read that Jaylen Brown could sign a maximum contract of $304 million with the Boston Celtics.
If this is true, the last year of the contract will be $ 70 million.
This is a huge contract for Jaylen. While there have been a lot of trading rumors that are circulating for other players that haven't been made, if this happens, it's a securing contract for him.

Although, maybe you need to think about how much money you could make from that as well? I mean you are going to have people buying Lebron jersey every year, that's a guaranteed X amount of money made, and you already spent some money to print those as well, so that's Y cost.
So normally what you have is X-Y=Profit they make. In this case we have a bit change, where he changes his number, if they let him last season, that would be Y amount of cost again, but also this time there would be Z amount new purchases, because of number change. Which means, does (X+Z)-2Y= same or more profit or not. That's the question. I feel like they just didn't want to take risk but considering how many more people would buy, I feel like they could have made some profit.

To prevent their jerseys from going unused, they are reluctant to let go of the ones they have crafted. If LeBron James were to alter his number, they would be forced to sell the remaining jerseys at a significantly reduced price, an outcome they surely wish to avoid.

Furthermore, there is no guarantee that these discounted jerseys would attract buyers. Currently, genuine fans are willing to pay a bit extra for genuine stuff. Taking a gamble on purchasing the newer jerseys makes more sense than wasting money on the outdated ones. This would not be a wise decision for the businesses.

Big contract for Jaylen Brown.

I read that Jaylen Brown could sign a maximum contract of $304 million with the Boston Celtics.
If this is true, the last year of the contract will be $ 70 million.

That's huge for Brown, him and Tatum has been the face of Boston Celtics for years. And now that Marcus Smart is gone, he could be very influential to the team right now. Hopefully, Boston will blossom and reach the finals again or even win.

Again, him and Tatum are blending well in the last couple of years and they should be around their prime years right now.

So it's good to see that he has been rewarded by the Celtics management.
I saw that 70 million in a close future will be norm, not a huge deal for a year. I saw news and it was even mentioned in this topic here. With the new TV rights and everything. NBA is another world. The whole capacity for business and economics are indeed something else. That being said, I don't think Jaylen Brown deserves it 100%. He is a great player but I'd question if he is this much good. He shouldn't be the first player to make 70m a year. I agree that Celtics management rewarded him but still it is a huge deal. He is not like a franchise player and I don't think he would bring championships. Let's see if the deal will be finalized, seems likely to happen.

Honestly, with how many games they play and the possibility of injury I always thought it was odd that baseball and soccer players made more. The NBA seems like it’s playing catch-up and with the rising popularity I would’ve be surprised if the next big superstar gets 100 million a year after their rookie contract. It’s income on a level I have difficulty comprehending.

And the money being offered are getting bigger and bigger in the NBA right now, although it fare very small as compare to football. Nevertheless, Boston are rebuilding again and most likely they will have Brown and Tatum as the center of it.

Of course, they need more pieces, like role players at hand. They don't have Marcus Smart and Grant Williams so they will have to find a good replacement for them. Specially in defense because that's what Smart provided them during his years in Boston.

Yes, they needed to fill that space knowing how effective Smart when they are playing together,

It's on the coach now if how they will convert KP, they might be needed  him to play more on defense I guess,
as in terms of offense they are full of talents, or they can also play a running game where offense will serve also
as the main defense, which might be fit from the types of stars they've got, with Tatum and Brown plus KP, they
can rotate or shot outside.

Stephen Curry just hit a hole in one on live TV during a golf tournament. This guy is living the dream man… I’m guessing that’s going to go down as one of his all time favorite sports moments, which is crazy when you consider that he’s an MVP and NBA champion. You can catch the clip on twitter everywhere in a couple minutes I’m sure.
I've seen this video.

And what amazing on this one isn't the hole in one that he made but the happiness that he has shown when he did it. It's true that he's living the dream.

Many times as an NBA champion and now, enjoying like any other golfer and he's even getting the attention just as how much he's getting it when he plays in court.

Of course, no company in the world is going to want to take a huge loss. That is exactly what will happen if LeBron James does decide to go back to his old jersey number. I don't know but I am pretty sure that the last time this happened some companies had to take a little loss. Because I believe previously he was wearing a number 23 Jersey. He changed it and made it number 6.

Anyway, if a star player like him does end up changing his jersey number the companies which have already made Jerseys with the number 6 on the back are going to take a big loss because no one would want to buy the number 6 Jersey anymore. I don't think LeBron James should do it as well because that should probably affect him financially as well because any player gets a lot of money through different merchandise.
Although, maybe you need to think about how much money you could make from that as well? I mean you are going to have people buying Lebron jersey every year, that's a guaranteed X amount of money made, and you already spent some money to print those as well, so that's Y cost.
