I think it's a cool idea, but for different reasons.
If I read correctly, every player of the winning team of the tournament gets 500000$ in prize money.
So imagine you are a rookie or whatever, on a minimum contract. The 500k make a HUGE difference in your annual salary.

The big names of course couldn't care less but for the bench players this is a nice pay day. Of course the journey is long, but it's a nice opportunity.

I haven't looked into it yet but how would they get an automatic berrth? Wouldn't that leave an uneven amount of teams from the eastern and western conferences. And I guess about the money you are right. You might see more of the young guys balling out in that game for that money. Imagine the guys who are on a 10 day contract or something lol. They'd be balling in those games

The question is what teams are going to be interested to acquire Harden. And it make sense as Clippers is already loaded with Kawhi, PG and Westbrook. So he might not have his playing team if he goes to Clippers.

And perhaps Clippers are not interested as well that's why they are not going to chase Harden and this could be the reason why Harden is open to play for any team now. So very much the situation is unclear for us, and now we can speculate as what them he wanted after Clippers and that is Houston.

Unlike Dame, he really wanted to play on another team right now in the hope not to waste his skills for the 76ers I wonder what had happened there. I thought they were able to become good buddies with Embiid whom he taught one of his signature moves which is the stepback three. Now that they are having this fuss, that would not be the case anymore. I bet Embiid wouldn't have thought to have alike of Ben Simmon on their team so soon and also wanted to leave the team in a childish way as well. I hope the Philadelphia 76ers already have some plan for Harden after this statement.

I read before that there was a personal fallout between James Harden and Daryl Morey which needs both of them to go on separate ways. Now it is getting uglier as the saga continues.

I guess Joel Embiid has no issue with Harden. Embiid also showed hints of wanting out of Philly as well so it's like he is also not happy with the current team. Philly has a lot of stuff to do these days and they seem to be heading into a rebuilding process in case Embiid will put pressure for a way out. I began to wonder which team offers the best for an Embiid trade. Are we seeing another team with a trio or more superstars?

Most likely it was just a rumor though, Harden wanted out and maybe he or someone just pulling then name of Joel Embiid here to as if shows that he also wanted to get traded after getting the MVP award last season.

Well if Harden is not happy and doesn't want to get a pay cut then so be it. Sixers should trade him after a season. But as far as Joel Embiid goes, I think he has some loyalty to the Sixers team and wouldn't just leave like that.

Who did they think they were going to be able to get? It seems like suddenly the mood in Philly changed with Harden and Embiid wanting out, but they never really said who they were wanting to pick up. I’m not even sure what player would fit with them or who was available that they were wanting. Maybe a trade for Bradley Beal or Chris Paul? Any ideas?

I still do not think that Houston is the right place for neither Embiid nor Harden. Houston shouldn't accept that, yes I understand you would instantly become a team that would be in playoffs right away, and even have a chance to battle it out and go very far. However, that would be only for a few years and not for too long neither, Embiid is getting older and Harden is already at is descend as well, he is not the Harden he used to be at Rockets anymore.

Rockets are building a team that's about to grow together and be well, look at their roster, most of their players are young and if they grow together they could be very good together in the future. Maybe they won't be able to hold all of them together, but they do look good.

The Rockets are currently in a rebuilding phase. Although they have acquired Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks, this team is still not considered a championship contender. Embiid is a superstar currently in his prime, much like Jokic. If the 76ers were to decide to trade him, they would undoubtedly ensure they receive the right value for Embiid. This might involve acquiring a bundle of players or a superstar who can contribute at a level similar to Embiid's, though there's currently no such player available on the market.

I don’t think Damian Lillard and Joel Embiid trade is actually going to happen. They’re just a lot of factors to consider. My personal opinion is that Damian Lillard has been a better player so far. But he is definitely a little older, probably four years older compared to Joel Embiid. So if we think like that, we have to say that Joel Embiid has much more to give his team and is a stable pick. Notwithstanding, Damian Lillard undeniably exhibits remarkable skills. But the problem is I don’t know for how long he is actually going to be able to perform at the top level of competition.

But in case this trade does happen, I will say that the Portland Trail Blazers are probably going to be the one who will be happier.

You know, I would like to think that my judgement were right after all but I still can't because I just don't have enough or concrete details yet to confirm whether there is something wrong inside the Philly or not, maybe it has existed already since last season that there is going on in their locker room that we didn't know because they are still trying to work things out.

What they are doing right now is just giving some clues and leave the public curious or should I say confused because after they fired Doc Rivers, almost everything has been shattered into places and I think as well that it is one of the reasons why Harden wanted to get out and most probably, Embiid as well.

It is true that we will not find out anything unless someone speaks out but I guess that relationship with Morey is now ending because of this.

Either Embiid will request a trade, or he will get traded. Given what's going on within the organization, there's a likelihood that Embiid might not stay with the 76ers. Just consider what might happen to the 76ers' season if Harden sits out, since the management doesn't plan to trade him. Do we think Embiid will be happy with that? Next season will likely be a determining factor in Embiid's decision, as this team lacks a long-term plan and struggles in taking care of its players.

As what was said above, the season will start on October 24 and will be having two games in the opening night which are the Lakers @ Nuggets and Phoenix @ Warriors game. While the Phoenix vs Lakers game will happen on the following day, October 25.

These games are indeed interesting enough to see, including the night opener of Phoenix vs Warriors because CP3 now is with the latter and he will be facing his old team with the same roster, not him included of course.

What is the article you posted saying that is differently? I said that LeBron James and Kevin Durant would face off in Phoenix’s home opener, which appears to be the same information you posted. I think you confused me saying “home” opener with “season” opener. While the Suns’ first game of the year isn’t against the Lakers, their first home game is. Or am I misunderstanding something?

Yup, my bad mate. I actually misread the term and was confused by how the the games will go as I thought that the Phoenix Suns will be hosting the game against the Warriors when in fact it is the opposite thing Grin

It will be the Warriors who will host the game against Suns and the next day after that, they will have their own home opener against the Lakers.

Anyway, hopefully LeBron James and Kevin Durant will be both present on that game as it has been a while since we have witnessed their match-up and it will be a nice gift to the NBA fans.

They surely need to improve the team more so James Harden would be satisfy and not leave, it just gets worse when the 76ers keep silent about the Situation and now Joel Embiid is not liking it aswel that he wanted a trade now, actually I like Harden when I see him played but that was 7 years ago, he play very differently now, but when the going gets tough that 7 years from now self was going outside to wreck havok again, mostly in the play-offs, for sure the 76ers did a great job, all they need now is a little chemistry and molding the young once of the team,

No doubt. Embiid previously said he wanted to win a championship and it doesn't matter if it's with the Sixers or another team so it's already a hint. What he did with his social media account shouldn't come as a surprise.

They are getting paid so much money, sign contracts to do so and when they don't feel it anymore they say "fxxk my contract, I want out". Players like this should be blacklisted in my opinion. If you sign you have an obligation towards you team, the plan around you, when you force your way out you basically destroy the teams planing for at least 1 year.

They couldn't care less about Harden, if any teams takes this clown for some real money now I don't get it. He has never heard of loyalty. 3 forced exits in 2 years, that's as ridiculous as it could be.

They are getting paid so much money, sign contracts to do so and when they don't feel it anymore they say "fxxk my contract, I want out". Players like this should be blacklisted in my opinion. If you sign you have an obligation towards you team, the plan around you, when you force your way out you basically destroy the teams planing for at least 1 year.

They couldn't care less about Harden, if any teams takes this clown for some real money now I don't get it. He has never heard of loyalty. 3 forced exits in 2 years, that's as ridiculous as it could be.
He deserves the veteran minimum for his antics, or ship him to the Shanghai sharks. Grin
