I think it's a bold move by Phoenix to traded Cam Payne, I think they don't believed that Payne could really be a good guard for them. Of course he has been mentored by CP3, but since he is gone, then I guess they have to traded him too.

Aside from that, I think the move was also an advantage for Cam Payne as he will be utilized more in another team.

With the current stacked roster of the Phoenix Suns right now especially at the guard position, Cam Payne will not grow anymore on this team. It's a good move that instead of keeping him on the bench for long, used his value to get a good deal.

Both Phoenix Suns and Cam Payne do have a win and advantage on that deal. I'm expecting Payne will make a noise next season.

Phoenix Suns have signed a 1-year contract with Bol Bol.
Nice, Bol Bol goes to a team with teammates that he can work well properly.

I really dont get why people loves and hype so much about bol bol, for me he is pure trash. He doesnt have the good movement that NBA requires, its not only about height, he lack that movility and also some tactis( but this can be learned). I can see him going from team to team without so many minutes and ended up on Japan or Australia, no much more.

It's because probably of his father's name. Or maybe he is really that good but he was not given a chance to blossom in the Magic uniform. You can look at his highlights and see if for yourself.

And another reason could be is the Wemby effect, this rookie is tall like Bol Bol can dribble the ball as well. And again, we've seen that kind of talent from Bol Bol before. I guess it's good that he had at least a year to show his talent again in Phoenix uniform and hopefully he will be given playing time.

There is no "hype" about Bol Bol.  Grin If there was he wouldn't have gotten waived by the Magic.

Yep, there's no hype around Bol Bol, but he was waived by the Magic because they did reach an the agreement. The Magic did see much of him as one of the huge contributor to the team despite the fact that Bol has an elite skills that could be develop to dominate in his position, that's why they waived him. I'm not also sure if he could fit with the stacked Phoenix Suns team being the back up center to Ayton.  I guess the best thing he could do is to tighten up his defensive skills, since the Suns current roster doesn't really play defense.
Tbh, I'd still have the Nuggets over the current Suns rosters. My views would change in mid season whether or not the Suns had an upgrade or just the same.

Not much has change on the Nuggets team, so yeah, even if there are a lot of offensive weapons in the Phoenix arsenal with the addition of Beal. And now that they have traded the last of their point guard in Payne, so there will be a lot of adjustments on the Suns side right now. It could be that Beal will be their point guard or at least will have to carry the ball.

But they need to beef up their defense too. Ayton is good in the middle, but sometimes, it's his mentality that is really a issue with him. Of course having a taller guy in Bol Bol might help them. We will see though, Booker, Beal, Durant, that's Nets 2.0.

Stephen Curry just hit a hole in one on live TV during a golf tournament. This guy is living the dream man… I’m guessing that’s going to go down as one of his all time favorite sports moments, which is crazy when you consider that he’s an MVP and NBA champion. You can catch the clip on twitter everywhere in a couple minutes I’m sure.
I've seen this video.

And what amazing on this one isn't the hole in one that he made but the happiness that he has shown when he did it. It's true that he's living the dream.

Many times as an NBA champion and now, enjoying like any other golfer and he's even getting the attention just as how much he's getting it when he plays in court.

Fan here! I was really happy for the guy winning the American Century Championship is insane it could also make Michael Jordan Jealous as a fellow NBA that loves golf sports aswell I think MJ and Steph have searched for moments to play golf if I am not wrong and have talked about the NBA and the golf strategy aswell, so yeah Stephen Curry got some real pointers from the Legendary Michael Jordan himself,
There have been some discussions that Steph is doing better than the other professionals. But that's off the beat since we're all entitled to our opinion and those were just like opinions of the fan of his.

Well, who knows that after his career in the NBA and he decides to retire. He'll for sure make rounds in the golf course and will continue to make his fans excited and fun in watching him hitting those golf balls.

The LeBron James number story is a bit of a strange one when you consider the timing of it. If memory serves me correctly though, he actually wanted to do this immediately after Bill’s death and before the season started last year, but I believe it was Nike or the league or some company told him no because they already had so much #6 merchandise ready to go.

That's a bad idea to buy his jersey then when they only know that he will gonna change to number 23 again because not only his jersey, I believe his Nike shoes also have his jersey's number. Well! that's just how they do business and right now most people who had bought those merchandise will be buying some of it again when they release it. We cannot blame those people because LBJ is no doubt one of the living legend who is still playing right now and to gather as much of his merchandise is merit and prestige for the NBA fans.

Well, this is a tribute to another legend, and from a legend's perspective Lebron James is doing something for Bryant but in his recent interview despite the number 23 being his favorite number the number 6 is always stuck with him and if you multiply 2 to 3 the number is 6 he said then he added that his 1st son October 6th and his 2nd sone June 14th the 6th month of the year so 6 is always been with him,

Actually while Watching this he said a 3 reasons behind why he wanted the number 6 and that was 666 number if you combined it, well whatever I am thinking here is the VIDEO

Looks like the Phoenix Suns have addressed they’re not having a backup center by signing Bol Bol to a one year deal. This means they probably won’t be going after JaVale McGee in the free agent market. It also means that DeAndre Ayton had better not get too comfortable on this roster. I am excited that the Suns got Bol Bol though. He’s like a more developed version of Wemby.

Then if they aren't getting JaVale McGee on the Free agent market a likely Golden State Warriors transaction for McGee could happen and for me, as a Warriors fan this is a good thing JaVale McGee has already played in the Warriors Roster in the past so he is familiar with the play and strategy of the team and the GSW is badly needing big guys and McGee can provide an inside offense and defense to the team that has shown in the recent games,

I am someone who actually thinks that the meta is always not going to work if a team does not have proper players for the meta. I also believe that it will certainly be better for any team to actually not blindly follow the meta if they can go other ways and find success. But under any circumstances, players like Bol Bol will have to prove himself and that’s how he can keep himself in demand.
Change is constant and that's why we're seeing the meta from these NBA teams are also changing. These tall players have been changing rounds and making it that the game has been changed already. But we've seen players like Yao Ming before and it's always been there but with just some added features from the tall players today and one of it is shooting. Although not all of them can have that feature that everybody wants because it will sacrifice some attributes like speed which is very common. And I agree to you that not at all times, the meta will always be working for these teams.

Let's just be honest, the Phoenix Suns did acquire Bol Bol not because of his skill set, it's just that the team doesn't have much choice to acquire a much bigger name and their hands are quite tied in this season that is why they chose him for the reason that they just needed another additional to fill up some space that the team lacked.

But on the bright side, this is the chance for Bol Bol to show what he is made of and to prove that he is just an underrated player which the team saved a lot in acquiring him.

Indeed, they acquire him to fill that space for the center position, and it's also true that if given a chance he may provide decent
minutes as a replacement for the center position.

More on working with how he can help with their defense as we all know Suns are more on the offensive arsenal but if Bol will
manage to contribute in both ends. That might be his ticket to keep the spot.

^Obviously the Phoenix Suns are just trying to open up some space because it's going to hurt them with Bradley Beal, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and DeAndre Ayton on their roster. Big names mean big salaries that are eating their salary cap.

It must've hurt the feelings of Cam Payne. He did his best to show how he stepped up his performance in every game just so he could keep his position for the Phoenix Suns. But, this is all business. They now have Beal and they will probably just focus on him and Booker as their guards, they won't need a backup anymore.
That's the sad truth with these teams and the entire league, no matter how good you are then at the end of it everything matters as a business.
This could be a blessing in disguise for Cam. He might lose a lot of playing time in the next season with Beal and Booker taking any of the guard positions. Cam if he trains and competes well in San Antonio can shine, especially if Wembanyama turns into a machine next season or the following seasons.

Yes, there is a huge chance that Cam Payne will evolve more into a much better player because it is expected that he will get a lot of playing minutes now compared if he's staying in Phoenix where he will not be a priority anymore as there are guards like Booker and Beal to have his position. Hence, I believe that he will be more useful in Spurs and his experience will be useful too to the young generations.

Yes, the chance of having longer minutes to play inside the court might be expected for him. I want to see him to progress more with coach Pop'
guidance, he can help he already have that talent, just need to keep developing and enhancing for more.

Looks like it is, just this day he's got a monstrous performance on the AEBL dropping 54 points. I think this is somehow he showcase his agility, I really like Payne with his quickness and IQ I wonder how he never got the chance to be kept by Suns. Well, season change so does team in the NBA, there will be lot of opportunities for him this season if somehow he got some minutes there.

To me, he is like a much better version of Chris Paul because of his versatility on the court. He might have been a good player in the Phoenix but it wasn't good enough to keep him inside the roster because there are other stars that got a much brighter name compared to him and since it's a business, he didn't have that much choice but to follow what the team planned for him. But I believe that there's a reason for everything, he just have to sort it out.

Bol is a good pickup for them. I didn't really understand why the Magic waived him, he got skills, range and is tall as a tree. Basically a similar guy like Wemby. He only has a reputation of being somehow lazy, that's at least what was heard after the Nuggets sent him away. I hope he worked on that. In Orland he looked ok and had some decent numbers off the bench.
If he works on his decision making and mindset he can have a decent career in the league. Lets see if he can finally prove himself.
Oh and he had an ugly axx suit when he was drafted, maybe that haunted him, hahaha.
Bol is more athletic and fresh compared to the other 7 footers because he can move quickly and have the necessary useful skills to win a game. I remember he contributed a lot back then when he was playing with the Orlando Magic. This time he will gonna be doing his best when given enough minutes to play because if he doesn't he will be no longer getting any good offers than this one and probably forced to play in a different country like Tacko Fall. It will be a hell of a game once he will developed his shooting skills and the other teams will be interested in him or he will be given an extension when he performs well.
NBA right now don’t prioritize center especially if they have star player that gets most of the possession. Golden States Warriors started this kind of meta that’s why player like Bol Bol doesn’t give much importance amd play time instead team focus on the offense behind the arc or perimeter shot instead of paint points.
Now the Jokic, Giannis and Embiid starting to dominate again the NBA with center meta. I think player like Bol bol might be in demand and will gave a lot of playing time in addition to the shooter long range offense

Bol is obviously better compared to the other seven-footers. At least in terms of athletic abilities. He also has a great wingspan of 7.68 foot. That is actually huge. Now the thing about centre players not getting important and playtime is actually sad. After all, everything will have to go with the meta.

I am someone who actually thinks that the meta is always not going to work if a team does not have proper players for the meta. I also believe that it will certainly be better for any team to actually not blindly follow the meta if they can go other ways and find success. I wonder why the Magic traded him. I mean Bol played his best year in their team, and he got more popular because of how the fans love him.
He's not as impactful as they want him to be I guess. He wasn't traded by Magic by the way. He was released before his contract is up or what they coined as "waived". Magic didn't get anything from Suns signing Bol.

Quote
Anyway, I just hope that the Suns will give him minutes to play, and at least showcase his talent
The Suns are lacking depth at the moment. Ayton won't be available for the the entire regular season or won't play the whole game so he'll have a good amount of time for sure.

There is no "hype" about Bol Bol.  Grin If there was he wouldn't have gotten waived by the Magic.

I do think he has a good skill set, just the lack of "mamba mentality" is a big factor. You have to love the game and be willing to improve to make it there. If this experiment fails again it will be his 3rd team in 3 years and without any personal success to show for he might find himself on a plane to China soon maybe.  Grin

I still think there is a way to succeed for him, he just has to find it. Giving him 1 year for 2,165,000$ is a no brainer. It doesn't hurt the Sun's salary cap and you might get a still raw diamond.

You said right, there's no hype with Bol Bol' name the very reason why he's not getting the attention and last season he's playing
with the number 1 prospect and the attention is more with Banchero.

It's nice to see another opportunity for Bol to play and maybe show his skills and keep his position with the Suns, else, he may
no longer have the same chance to play again with another team/s.

He needs to keep on improving to save his spot in this league, Skillset wise, he just needs to needed to keep improving for more.

Well, it's good for him though as he can grow more in a team where he is a senior player.
I agree, and for instance, just like how Kyle Kuzma improved when he was traded to Washington Wizards. I reckon that he was just famous way back when he was still wearing the Lakers jersey because of his looks but his performance was not that impressive which led the Lakers to send him off to a different team as the team felt that he was not the right man to fill the position they wanted.

Good for San Antonio Spurs, they now have a veteran perspective in their roster, that's if they won't move Payne to another team. I think he can do some help for the young Wemby.

I don't doubt that as well because Cam Payne was already expecting to play a few more years in the same team as he also felt that the Phoenix Suns do like him because of what he did while he was still at their team, he keeps on improving but still the Suns chose to trade him and obviously, he cannot do nothing about it because he is not yet on the same league with the other players that stayed in the team. Well, it's good for him though as he can grow more in a team where he is a senior player.

Maybe that's what they're trying to do but still, I think that they need more than that.
This trade is a big win for San Antonio and I felt like they are already looking forward to becoming a serious contender as fast as they could which might be possible if Wemby can average 20+ points and some more meaningful stats next season. I even saw earlier an article about the Spurs' potential to get Zion Williamson.

He is still young and very capable of turning himself into a star one day. This exposure of having to play with these 4 superstars is huge and he will learn a lot. I can feel the excitement. Phoenix did something extraordinary by not just combining 3 superstars but 4. Maybe the media is not giving much attention to this because the city is not as big as LA or San Franciso, etc. but they will become the main talks if the quadrumvirate works very well.

Good for San Antonio Spurs, they now have a veteran perspective in their roster, that's if they won't move Payne to another team. I think he can do some help for the young Wemby.
Maybe that's what they're trying to do but still, I think that they need more than that.

It's nice to see another opportunity for Bol to play and maybe show his skills and keep his position with the Suns, else, he may
no longer have the same chance to play again with another team/s.
