I just read the news that Damian Lillard has officially requested a trade from the Portland Trailblazers. Poor Dame… He should have done this two years ago and then he could’ve helped LeBron win another ring. Now it looks like he’s going to go to Miami and I personally don’t think Miami is as good as they appeared last post season.

Yeah, he seems to be targeting Miami, not sure why, but perhaps Dame has ties with Jimmy or because of the strength that they show last season going to the finals, Dame might think that they can repeat it again. And it's interesting that he want's to be in the East this time.

Good for Austin Reaves to resign with the Lakers, I thought that the White Mamba might go out and look for better pays. But at least he remains loyal with Lebron and the organization.

Also the Lakers got Cam Reddish, I think Cam is really good, although he might have some bad decisions like requesting a trade from Atlanta and his career started a downfall. Hopefully he can recover with the Lakers and revived his career.

Westbrook signing with the Clippers for 2 years and 8 million is nuts. He surely could’ve gotten double that and maybe triple somewhere else. I think he took his stint with the Lakers personally and now he just wants to help the Clippers be the top dog in Los Angeles. With this deal the Clippers should be able to go after another big free agent.

Kind of in the same mindset but what good does he serve on a team like the Pacers that would pay him more.  At this point it has to be about winning right?  Foe the clips it's a steal because at anytime russ Alcan be russ and well worth way more than a $4mil a year type player.  But on the other hand at that age I'm sure he seen how teams dealt with players like Melo, you can get black balled out of the league so if he just wants to play it's a good deal for him too since he doesn't have to worry about that now.

Did you guys see the news for Bruce Brown JR? He just signed with the Indiana Pacers. Gonna be huge mils contract has been in the sign and this is why we usually see a player going off with their former team just after the championship.

Yeah he is cashing in on his run in the playoffs with the Nuggets can't hate on the guy for that.  It's a business from the owners side as well as the players side.  Pacers got a great player.  I think he would have been a great pickup for Miami.  Would fit right in as a do whatever it takes kind of player.
Right, it's a business after all and whoever bids them the highest cash then that will be taken into consideration and his contract could have already ended with the Nuggets.

The same with the Lakers and that's why I just thought that this team will remain just as is with their winning roster. But this is all about their value has gotten up just after getting the ring so it's a wise move for him when there's a bigger offer since they're not always at their height of their career so it's nice that he took advantage of it.

Definitely a smart move by Bruce Brown because he knows that he now deserves a much higher contract after the Nuggets won the championship recently and it's not that he was just riding the team easily because he also had his own highlights. Also, it was a nice move for the Indiana Pacers for acquiring him because his presence and skill on the court is certainly a plus.
Exactly, I guess that this won't be any different from other teams and with which team that we'll get to see as the champs for this upcoming season then we may see some its players to ask some higher contracts. And if a team bids for that, they'll take that into consideration, they're champ already so they can demand.

^ That’s a big blow to the Nuggets. He anchored their bench and in a position where they struggle. I think if Denver really wants to repeat and get themselves in the dynasty conversation for real, they’re going to need to pick up a good shooting guard. Beal would’ve been the best prospect but he’s gone to Phoenix. Maybe they can try to get Anthony Edwards or something.

They surely needed a shooting guard and I think this is a great idea going forward so Jamal Murray can have a tandem or he could surely rest a bit on the bench but Bradley Beal Jr. is now going into the Phoenix Suns and they surely missed that window of opportunity to get him, for sure

Right now I have seen that the Champion team Denver Nuggets are getting their team improve they have missed Bradley Beal but I think they will see an opportunity for other players that they like, now the Denver Nuggets have gotten their other players traded, and here are the list and what team those players went on to,

1st Bruce Brown and he is headed to Indiana Pacers,
2nd Thomas Bryant is headed to the Miami Heat,

these two are currently nowhere to be found anymore on the Denver Nuggets and were traded to the other teams, for sure the Denver Nuggets are readying themselves to get the real thing that Denver Nuggets are needing,

Looks like the Lakers are on a resigning spree as they have just announced that Austin Reeves has been signed to a 4-year deal for over 50 million dollars. If that’s correct, then I think the Lakers did a pretty good job of keeping the guys they should keep and at low enough contract rates for them to possibly be able to make some moves next year.

Based on what sg will make in 4 years this is probably a steal.  What I'm not convinced about is if austin reaves is the guy you want to hang your #2 sg guard on.  He had a real good season and broke out.  But now that the NBA has tape on him and can key in on him, is he athletic enough to adjust and continue to succeed in this league?  I guess this year time will tell.  I would have tried for a 2 or 3 year deal before locking him.in long term.

Denver will be fine. $22 million a year is just too much for them to match especially since he won't be playing as a starter unless injuries happen. Denver just signed veteran Reggie Jackson as its replacement for only $10.25 million in 2 years.

Bradley Beal or Anthony Edwards are big superstars and I doubt Denver is willing to deform its proven core while at the same time, it further exceeds them more millions of luxury taxes. I actually believe that Denver after winning the title becomes stronger with more confidence and experience. Their biggest opponent is probably maintaining its core players to stay healthy, especially Murray and MPJ.

Looks like D-Lo just resigned with the Lakers. It’s not a massive contract so I guess they just wanted to make sure to have a legitimate point guard for the rest of LeBron’s time in LA. I sort of figured he would be part of a sign and trade given how poorly he did in the playoffs this year, but it means we probably won’t be seeing Dame in LA.

It is a 2-year deal worth $37 Million and it was also rumored that Jarred Vanderbilt will also join as the Los Angeles Lakers squad as they are planning to give him a 1-year deal worth $4.7 Million.

Summer season is not yet finished so we will likely see some movements while we are approaching another season.

While for Dame Lillard, it seems that Miami Heat will be his landing option and at least he will have a chance there to win a chip before he retires. He should've made this statement a couple of weeks back so that the Lakers can have some time to allocate him but anyway, that is not the case anymore.

Wow, just saw the news that Damian Lillard has requested a trade out of Portland. I mean can you blame the guy? He’s been one of the best players in the league since he entered and has been one of the best shooters I’ve ever seen, dude is just a killer.

I can’t wait to see where he might go.

Fee VanVleet signing with Houston was an interesting one. Wanted him in Chicago badly.

Teams are going nuts with these trades honestly, and so are players, It's going to be a whole new team shuffling by the time the news seasons gets underway, it's literally going to take a while I adjust to these players and their news clubs.

I really can't blame Lillard, it's Dame time he tryout a new path for himself, and Blazers aren't doing well enough to give him a reason to keep trust the project, as for the Houston Rockets, I'll be keeping a huge tab on them for the season they look really highly prospective and a very young too, If they can keep the structure and players, VanVleet is gonna come in very handy for them honestly.

As for Damian Lillard, Heat is said to be preferred destination, that'd be a perfect place for him, I would have said Boston Celtic since they've already Marcus Smart out Lillard could come in as quite an upgrade in terms of points, but I'm not sure if they will be able to make an allocation within their salary cap to afford him.

I also just watched a video about it.
After all the back and forth it's about time. Why did he even say over the past weeks that he wants to stay?

Could saved himself a lot of time. Well, maybe this is the chance for Miami. If they can land him they will be a force in the east.

For all Euroleague watching people, Vasilije Micić is finally in the NBA as well, just got signed by the Thunder. He is one of the best players in Europe, gonna be exiting.

^ That’s a big blow to the Nuggets.
Yeah, surprising news as many would have thought that this team will be stronger than before and bonds would be made. After all, this is NBA and it's all about business and taking the best offers that they can take after getting out of their primes.
It's not actually different from what the Golden State Warriors did. After their championship, they increased the salary of some of their players and then traded them. Some are let go with a better contract for other teams.
I think what happened is just normal in the NBA now. Loyalty is not a thing anymore, where there is money, go get it, get yourself a house and some savings for your retirement fund. I think Bruce Brown will be there.
The same with the Lakers and that's why I just thought that this team will remain just as is with their winning roster. Reports says Gabe Vincent joining the Lakers,

Quote
Free agent guard Gabe Vincent is expected to join the Los Angeles Lakers on a three-year, $33 million deal, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

https://www.nba.com/news/gabe-vincent-2023-free-agency

So this is a great news for the Lakers and Lebron as he will have a good wingman and a 3 point shooter. Plus Gabe has one of the best seasons so far last year with the Heat.

But as the same time, they let go of Dennis as he moves to Toronto. Because Fred VanVleet signing a three-year, $130 million max contract with the Houston Rockets.

With D'Lo and Vincent together with a healthy LeBron and Davis seems good to me.

Vincent, as we've seen him played last season, he can contribute a lot to the Lakers knowing how LeBron's type game now
he's more on locating the open man. With both D'Lo and Vincent, he can easily drop the ball and get a high percentage
shots outside, or he can locate Davis inside for the easy basket.

Yes, that's a decent line-up considering that the starting five will be healthy all throughout or at least will not have any serious injury that could give the team some troubles along the way.
And by the way, Vanderbilt also signed another contract with the Lakers while Schroder is now with the Raptors, but Austin Reaves my man, they left him hanging after all the help he did especially in the post season where he helped the team survive against the Warriors. Lakers should give him another chance too because the kid is definitely improving.

At the end of the day, Players still chased for big bucks especially if they already git the rings since they considered themselves as high value due to their contribution. I really like BBJr because of his good leadership as veteran player. I respect his decision for chasing high pay rate team that can give him more play time due to his current value right now.

Nuggets will have no problem as long as their core players Jokic, Murray and Gordon will be on the team. They are killing the whole season with just 3 main players excelling when other players is on bad game. I'm excited to see how Christian Braun will develop and get more play time due to his effectiveness on the finals. He ismthe Jordan Poole version when GSW gets championship last year except that he is discovered late.

Kyrie Irving stays with the Dallas Mavericks with a whopping contract of $126M - 3 years or so.

Report: Kyrie Irving staying with Mavericks for $126 million over 3 years

Okay then, that settles for any rumor that has been out for Irving. He'll stay where he are right now and that's a good amount for him to stay. I just wish that he'll get to play with a good chemistry this time around with Luka since last season didn't really look impressive at all.

Good for me, the Dallas Mavericks has taken a big risk to give him that kind of money and in 3 years?

We've seen it already that I must say that Luka and Kyrie doesn't have the chemistry like a Lebron and Kyrie back in their Cleveland days (even that time there are rurmors about their relationship).

So for sure NBA pundits are going to monitor this situation, yes Luka needed another player, but not as ball hog as Kyrie.

Since the Dallas Mavericks made this move and yes, it is indeed a big risk for the franchise in getting Kyrie again but I know that they have a plan about it and hopefully it will work and that these two will have a chemistry so that the team can achieve a much higher seed in the upcoming season. It is unknown but I think it will work out somehow.

Quite a lot of movements lately and saw some posts about players getting traded and pulled out from the free agency. Still waiting for some news as I think the league is not yet finished.

I am a Mavericks fan and a Doncic fan so I just don't want his years to be wasted. Everything Kyrie Irving touches is cursed. I wish it will not be the same this time.
It's not a curse, the talent is there,  it's the chemistry that he is lacking and chemistry takes time to build up depending on someone's attitude plus he got a ring already. I think, what he lacks is the thirst to win a championship and I don't feel it from Irving. The intensity and eagerness to win aren't the same as when he was in Cavs back then. The Mavs would have a better chance in playoffs if he can play like that before. Just look at Curry, the eagerness is still there. That is greatness.

Hopefully, he will bring that back to Mavs, I mean that competitiveness the way he played before. But if he will play the same,
way back from Boston and Nets.

It might end up the same outcome, nothing that will improve unless the chemistries between these two superstars will ignite
and the rest of the role players will step up as well and provide the lift that both stars will be needed to chase the title.
