The Atlanta Hawks had a chance in the fourth quarter, but unlucky for them, the Boston Celtics had their lucky clover. Props to Trae Young with 30 points, 10 assists, and 3 rebounds, but it's not enough to keep them in the series. Congratulations to the Boston Celtics for advancing to the Eastern Conference semi finals, they will face the Philadelphia 76ers. Who you got?
What's funny about the Hawks on that game is that, there is a time in the final minutes of the game where Young is inbounding the ball. He can't somebody to pass the ball with so what he's doing is that he just throw it on Smart's foot (he is defending him), and put it out of bounds. I think he did it thrice in a short amount of time. In the end, their possession ended up as a turnover. Kind of funny, but good strategy by Young to reset the 5 second count, and not waste a time out.
Hawks are now eliminated. Now the Philly and the Celtics will battle in the second round. TBH, I'm rooting on the Sixers to win on this one. I mean who in the Celtics can stop Embiid? Add also Harden's passing ability, Maxey's ability to shoot, and their other role players. Injuries aside, I will go with the Sixers with this one, but if Embiid will be injured during the series (I hope it will not happen), I'll go with the Celtics in 7 games.
Stephen Curry is trying his best to have his team in the quarter finals. They have had big issues against Sacramento so far. But I must admit that Sacramento were pretty impressive in the regular season. It is lovely to watch them putting up a solid fight against Warriors in this round. However it looks like Warriors have captured a nice advantage now.
Because they are 3-2 ahead and the next game is in their own court. I don't doubt Sacramento that they will do their best in this game here as well. But Curry and his friends can finish the job by concentrating fully on it before their fans by 4-2.
I will only say this to the Kings-Warriors series.
Only one road win is needed for them to win in this series, and now that they've got it, for sure that the Warriors will finish this series in Chase Center. Also the Warriors have 28 straight series with a road win. That currently is the longest streak in NBA history.
