Yeah that's just the state of the NBA, if you want to retain your players you need to pay them.  I know it sounds crazy but it's all relative.  Every major sports goes through the exact  same thing.  People tend to reference old contracts and say the new ones aren't worth it but the reality is everything gets more expensive so older contracts are irrelevant.  Good for Wagner he is going to be a good piece for that team for a long time ahead.

He deserves this kind of huge salary as he is the second man on the team after Banchero. As for Banchero, he will only become a free agent in 2027. He might get a bigger contract then, probably again the biggest in history. I see this as similar to the Celtics' situation where Brown signed a huge contract, and after that, when Tatum's contract expired, he also signed a whopping $313,933,410 for five years. I hope Banchero will be able to keep himself healthy, as that's all he needs to secure a max extension with the Magic.

Yeah, he should take that deal regardless if he wants to have some change although he's currently in a good team he needs more firepower from his teammates.

The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to trade Brook Lopez. They’re hoping they can get a first round pick back for him according to NBA Central. I’ve also heard rumors that the Lakers want to pick him up so that Anthony Davis can play the 4. I think that would be a great move and if the Lakers could get Lopez and DeRozan somehow, I think they’d be back in championship contention.

They let Klay Thompson go to a new team instead of putting more price on him and then added another 3-point specialist. Well, maybe he is cheaper so I guess it's the correct decision, money-wise.
Is it a wise decision? Maybe, they need more shooters because Steph cannot always do the plays for them. They need the floor to be spread for spray plays.

Alec Burks's 1-year deal with Miami Heat. I thought he did a great job during that time OG Anunoby was hurt while the Knicks were playing the playoffs. I mean, he could be seen doing a lot of damage against their opponents.
The Knicks surely have many tweaks that they will be doing but I think they should've added Burks to that roster again. He's good even with cold hands.

That's another problem not unless DeRozan will adjust maybe they can work it out or they will accept the liabilities in exceeding with their cap maybe it will materiaized they need to negotiate and find all the possibilities, in terms of performance if DeRozan will be added to them he can provide decent numbers though coach and teammates have that specific roles to execute and manifest his position.

Like what you said, another big name that will be traded to a different team which is interesting as he will be playing with LeBron and AD a good star who can help carrying the team if another bad injury will happen to either LeBron or AD or even both, DeRozan can take charge and lead the offensive side.

The Lakers are being talked about for DeMar DeRozan, if he goes to the Lakers, they can do great things there.

If they were not able to sign Klay, then it's unlikely they will sign DeRozan either. Klay received $50 million for a three-year contract with Dallas, but DeRozan made $50 million in the last two seasons with the Bulls based on his average yearly salary. So, we are talking about a larger amount here, especially considering DeRozan played very well with the Bulls last season.

The Paul Goerge trade was massive for Philadelphia. If they can keep Embiid healthy, then Embiid, Maxey, and George are gonna be tough to stop. THey'll definitely compete with the Celtics in the East.

I also like Buddy Heild to Golden state. They needed a shooter to replace Klay, not to mention all the other pieces they lost.

As far as I know, it isn't only the Lakers who are interested in DeRozan, but also teams like the Kings, Spurs, and Heat. But in the case of the Lakers, the problem is that they remain in a big financial bind. Given this, I have doubts that they will be able to sign a player like DeRozan.

So it's really a good find from the Warriors to have another clutch shooter in their team as Klay is no longer with them. It's easy to fit though if you are that good of a threat from the outside and who knows, they might also give him the same play that they had with Klay before, like a catch and shoot plays.

As for the Lakers, still there's a lot of noise that they are on the hunt for DeRozan as he wanted to really play on his own city Los Angeles. Probably this will also one of the biggest trade if this happens, him, PG13 and then Klay for this season switching teams.

But I doubt Danny Ainge would just let go of this young guy who has a bright future ahead unless it's a good trade. August 6 is when Lauri Markkanen can extend his contract with the Jazz so maybe that's why other teams are showing their interest to him.
A team that is looking for a big man who has speed will be lucky to have him. I think the Sacramento Kings are the ones who showed first interest in him and it will be a good addition if it happens.
Still, the big question pops out, who will they trade? Will it be enough to make the Jazz consider it?
For the Warriors, I don't think he will accept Wiggins-Markkanen directly, he may want more.

I guess if you know you know, but it’s safe to say at this point that Jared McCain won’t be beating the allegations as the kids like to say. I got this second hand off another post, but I’m guessing the comments on it have to be pretty wild.

I'm surprise by this. Hield's brilliance in 3 point shooting was probably not notice so much because he didn't come from a popular team, or a playoff team. I guess it will be nice to see him with the Warriors, but honestly, if compared to Klay I think Hield has to develop his clutchness as Klay was not only known for his great 3 point shooting but for his clutchness as well.

Possible, as Hield is one of the best shooter last season if I'm not mistaken, or at least in the top 10. But no one can really replace Klay Thompson in the Warriors uniform. But having Buddy in the lineup will really help them a lot as they are known to be a good shooting team.

So that is huge numbers so let's see how Hield will fit in the Warriors and for sure fans are very excited and might move on already from Klay leaving the team and going to the Mavericks.

With PG13 not a free agent anymore, they need to move on, and find another all-star caliber player, and Markannen is their next target.

A player who's very versatile, can stretch the defense of opposing team because of his ability to shoot threes, and he's a reliable player in offense as well. Now the question is, "Will the Jazz trade him?" After his amazing season with Utah, do we expect that they will trade him, or they would rather build a team around him. Based on what I'm seeing online, some believe he will get traded, but some believe he will not. It's still not clear, but if the Jazz will trade him, the Warriors will be the front runner.

TBH, I'm not hoping that the Warriors will get him, but I will not be surprised either. He's not at the same level as PG13, but he can still do what PG can do as well.

We know that Thanasis is being trolled multiple times already for multiple reasons. This is just one of them for sure. Kind of funny, but unrealistic.
Giannis + Thanasis package. That's what Giannis want if he will sign with another team. It's like "I'll play with your team as long as you get my brother as my cheerleader."

As for Buddy Hield, it's Splash Bros 2.0. Just for context, both Steph and Buddy are the top 2 in most number of three-point shots made since 2017. Hield at around ~1900 while Curry at around ~2100. I expect that the Warriors will go back to how we they became popular which is shooting threes.

You're right, and probably there is more upside on the Warriors as throughout the years, they are relying on Looney, but last season his minutes has diminished and so they might be looking for a upgraded version, that cannot only give Steph a pick, but also can shoot and also a good defender and he can run the fast break as well.

@jossiel - yes, it's not only the Warriors that are actively pursuing Lauren, but if you look at it, perhaps this is a one chance opportunity for him to be on a contender team that can win a ring for him.

It's him and the team who handles his career that decide his fate, I guess he choose the different path either by pride or by the offer that entice him, like what you said he gamble with his future and it's about time to move forward and try to help the new team that he will be playing.

I like to see him taking care of the business when a crucial situation comes up especially if the game is against his former team, he understand how the system runs so he can use that knowledge to help his team countering whatever offensive attacks or defensive attacks the Warriors will play.

I saw a fake news report today on Facebook that made me laugh. It said that Thanasis Antetokounmpo was requesting a trade away from the Milwaukee Bucks. Maybe cheap humor at his expense, but I genuinely laughed before looking at the source. If Giannis does sign elsewhere though, what happens to Thanasis?

It's not only the Golden State Warriors trying to pursue a trade for Lauri Markkanen but also the Spurs. These two great teams are pushing for him and this is a developing story.

That's what the fans did to him but I don't think that it gives a shot to him, players like him won't be affected that much by these criticisms.
