I feel bitcoin is already started bull run on the contrary altcoins are still bleeding at the moment even expectations are high from bitcoin as compare to altcoins but as a small investor my majority of the coins are altcoins. In the current market scenario apart from Btc I would choose Ethereum, Waves, Dash, Aeron, B2bx, V-ID, NEO and NPXS.
I feel the market is done dropping, for the most part. It's corrected after the amazing bull run in 2017-18. A bottomed out bearish market is the best time to buy, imo. So in 2019 we should all be shopping for long hodls! I'm curious what other alts people are buying. I will be picking up ETH, ADA, XRP, WAVES, HLS and either NEO or OMG. There are several altcoins that I am currently accumulating because of their low prices. One of them is ICX, which is currently touching the lowest price of bitcoin. In my opinion this is a good project and already has a product and is suitable as a long-term investment

This year there are indeed many good altcoins whose prices have fallen more than 90% from the highest price. This is an opportunity to buy and hold it for the long term. Coins like NEO, EOS, BNB Coin, Ethereum are some good choices and in my opinion when the market starts to recover, they can provide maximum profit

Today I am thinking that BTC is the best pic, alts are not moving in green territory , if they are moving they are going down.
I believe that NEO is dead and there is no use of buying it, it was hyped at the time only because ETH has HYPED , thus its similarity and FOMO of being Chinese ETH got it going.

just make sure that if your going to hold , hold it firmly and never let go

You'r make righ decision and i think it will be profitable investment. For me i am prefer to buy Bitcoin, ETH, XRP, BCH and BNB in this year.
My shopping list is bigger than yours. I want to add some more coins I like. My list of coins I will purchase is Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Coin, Ripple, Cardano, NEO, OMG, Sessia, ETHPlode. Among them, my first priority goes to BTC, ETH, and BNB.

Bitcoin investors are not going to withdraw their profit even if the price crosses $17000 in my opinion. The trend is up and the market will make triple bounce levels before reaching the mentioned price. Buying BTC is preferable than investing blindly to the dead altcoins.

I'm shopping for not too popular coins and tokens for long term hold because I believe they will bring better profits than the popular ones although I'm very picky when selecting them
And now the crypto market is very green and improving. Actually, now is the right time to buy a lot of potential altcoins that grow well. This week I will bring a shopping basket to buy Ethereum, Binance coin, Cardano and Waves. Because I don't want to waste time in vain. I am optimistic that prices will continue to improve. I am a bit different from you when it comes to choosing and buying coins. I rather go for lesser known tokens in the hope of reaping much profits. The logic is when you buy already established coins, there is less likely chances for them to increase multiple times in price. But if you buy new coins just hitting exchanges, they have high chances to go up multiple times in price.
Lesser known coins are not just the only factor, because I can show you that 95% of coins in existence are lesser known, but the ones that have reaped profits are not in those 95%.
That is token economics logic sure, but you know, Bitcoin as the most illogical coin in price rice continues to prove everyone else wrong time after time.
It's not just about logic of economy, it's also about fundamental strengths of the coin.
