I have a different reason, though. If the Philippines won't be able to beat Jordan, then I don't think they'll be able to beat the team in the next round. So I guess if we really trust Gilas to be able to get a gold, backing them now against a tough team is the right thing to do. I don't question your bet, though, as we gamblers have our own analysis. It's nothing personal; we are just playing with numbers here, and at the end of the day, either one of us could be right. Good luck!
I see a good chemistry with our Gilas now and the coaching staff is really doing their best to adjust during the game.
Let's give them the benefit of the doubt and of course to fully support our team we almost have our win against Jordan before, and I'm sure we can do better this time.
I'm betting with the Philippines here despite of the odds, hoping that they can get a win today and advance to the next round.

Yup! Though not the same level or I mean same individual talents and skills unlike with what we have during the world cup but the chemistries and the rotations is much better compared with what they've got from the last FIBA tournament, though we really can't say that they can match it up since Jordan brings the same roster and the players already have that bond playing together.

A matter of what the system and the executions for the Gilas, if coach Tim manage to scout Jordan and create a good defensive strategy to compete, the chance to win is always possible.

Coach Tim Cone is probably the best coach in the PBA now; he chooses his roster well, so there's nothing we can do but trust him. I'm sure our fellowmen are very excited to see this game, and it's good to know that Gilas, per bookies, is the underdog. I will put my bet, of course, but I will not make it complicated. I will just focus on the ML, so it's either win or lose. There's no significant odds movement for now; I guess these will be the final odds going into the actual game.

By the way, if we look at the score distribution on their last game, you'll be impress and you can see how effective they are in moving the ball.

Numbers states how coach Tim system works for both players and the coaching staff, they are all working as one and look what we are witnessing, a good executions even they just have each other for a short time but still showing the type of game play coming from coach Tim, respect and trust that's how coach Tim handles his squad, they will again be tested and this time I'm pretty sure that there are some who will wait for possible criticism people who just waiting for mistakes and failures, not a hater here but just doing some realtalk.. hahaha

That was a close game and a good ball distribution, I like the last minute decision of the coaching staff for the substitute.
Coach Tim is really delivering a good performance and let's hope that it will continue and beat Jordan this time.
Few more hours before the game start with Gilas against Jordan, let's watch them and cheer for them, this is a totally different Gilas team and not a one man game anymore.

Let's get this win! I'm a bit optimistic because it's Gilas Pilipinas, and I trust JB; with him, good things happen. Before, our problem was inside presence, but now we have JMF, Japeth, and Ange Kouame who would fill our weakness. I know that Jordan is a good team, but in terms of ball movement, I think Gilas has better teamwork. Minimizing the production of Rondae Hollis-Jefferson would be the key to success.

Odd from stake is also out.
Jordan ~ 1.41
Philippines ~ 2.70
Let's show the boys some love and we know that this could be the most difficult match that they're going to be with. May the force be with the Gilas Pilipinas.

Though i want the Philippines to advance to the 1/4 directly by beating Jordan but it seems to be hard task for them considering in the change of roster and the lack of quality substitution, i mean Chris Ross and Marcio Lassiter are not the player we used to see five years ago, father time has taken a toll on them so i'm not gonna risk my money by backing Gilas this time instead i'll be going for Jordan.

Gilas will still qualify for the quarters if ever they will be defeated by Jordan.

Personally, I will expect something close game between Jordan and our own Gilas. JMF and JBL need to start the charge and bring that spark to the whole squad.

We cannot determine that right now because the game is over 24 hours away. Perhaps the odds will become available tomorrow, on Sunday afternoon. People will certainly be watching this game, as it's Gilas Pilipinas' toughest opponent. It will be a close match, but in terms of betting odds, I believe Jordan is still the favorite.

Last time, I saw a live streaming video on Facebook with no interruptions. I'm confident that we won't have a hard time finding free streams for this particular game.

Yeah, no problem with this particular game, unlike leagues like the PBA and NBA. It will be reported right away, but our streamers are more advanced now. They have numerous sources, so if one source is taken down, their backup will automatically go live. Regarding the betting odds, let's be patient; eventually, bookies will make them available for us. It's still a bit early, though, so there's no need to complain if betting odds aren't available tomorrow yet.

By the way, we will have a busy day of betting tomorrow due to a big boxing event, Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo.

You are right, streamers have that kind of backup in case that the video will be detected and will be interrupted by the video hosting or streaming channels that they will be using, they are advance and anticipating the possibility so they will create an alternative option for viewer to continue watching the game.

Just be patience and wait for the odds to be available. Sparing some coins for Gilas will give extra enjoyment while monitoring the game.

To those who are waiting for the betting odds, it's already available now.

https://sportsbet.io/sports/basketball/international/asian-games/matches

As predicted by most of the bettors here, Jordan is the favorite to win. This is great odds for the Gilas backers; they are +3.5, but we can go with the moneyline for 2.30 odds.

Thank you for sharing the betting odds. I just clicked the link, and the spread is still the same, but the moneyline odds have increased for the Philippines, from 2.30 to 2.76 now. It has become more attractive that way. What do experts here think about this game? Do we have a good chance of winning?

What's it gonna be, moneyline or the handicap?

Sweet odds, I must say. I was patiently waiting for the betting odds too. Of course, I will bet on the Philippines. I am currently watching some predictions from our sports vloggers; this would help a bit before I finally push the bet button. It's like the twin of Kobe Bryant vs. Brownlee, hehe. These two have faced each other in the PBA, so they are already familiar with each other. Based on what I observe, I think Brownlee is better than him.

Gilas won against Thailand with a score of 87-72. After the win against Bahrain, Gilas is now 2-0. The same standing as Jordan and they're going to face them on Saturday, Sept. 30. Either Gilas or Jodan will have their very first loss against each other for this Asiad. Brownlee did good and it's very visible. CJ Perez also did it. CJ Perez really is a good player and the team can always count on them. They need to rest until Saturday for the preparation against RHJ and Jordan.

The score was very deceptive as we thought that was an easy game for our Gilas team but it is not without a scare. One moment, Thailand led by as much as 10 points due to Tyler Lamb's explosion in the rainbow country, fortunately for Gilas, they answered that with a 15-0 run that give them the slim lead.

Gilas vs Jordan is the match that will test this version of Gilas but TBH, i tapered my expectations as Jordan is a strong team, if i'm not wrong, their roster is intact, i mean those who played in FIBA were the ones also playing in the Asiad.

^^ Consolation for the day, i know that Gilas can't cover that near 30 points spread so i backed Thailand with that high spread.

Wow, decent odd for your handicap Kabayan!

I think it will be a good test for Gilas against Jordan we will see how coach Tim will rotate his squad for sure there are adjustments knowing that scout are also watching the plays, coach Tim and his gang needs to surprise Jordan, we have a competitive squad even it's not all but the replacement also have their competitiveness and I'm sure they will find that combination which may give them the win.

As for the outcomes of their respective games, I think Jordan has more impressive wins.

So, would you agree that they'll be the favorite? Slight or heavy?

I read some comments on Facebook that this Jordan team is the same team that represented them during the FIBA World Cup, so they will probably be the favorites to win against Gilas Pilipinas. And yes, this is a good opportunity for us. We have been waiting for the Philippines to be the underdog, so we can bet on the moneyline without hesitation. The odds are still not out yet, but for sure, they will be available tomorrow morning since the game will be at 5:30 PM Philippine time.

I was wondering what the betting odds would be this Saturday for the Philippines vs. Jordan match.

These two teams have been heavy favorites in their last two matches, so they could be well-matched in the eyes of the bookmakers. I am hoping that the Philippines would be a slight favorite so I can place a bet on the moneyline. You know, it's more thrilling to bet on Gilas when you have very attractive odds.

I'm also expecting that it won't be easy for the Gilas because we've seen that Jordan is a good team as well. With this roster, I'm still hoping that they'll be able to beat them.
Let's just say that they aren't really a good team; maybe they're just too lucky with their outside shooting. Lamb and Lish are the players who helped the team, at least to stay close to the Philippines. In the first half, it was Lamb, and in the second half, especially the fourth quarter, it was Lish. What's important is that Gilas won the game; it was a hard-earned victory. So, I guess they are ready to face Jordan in their next scheduled match.

Gilas will have one day of rest, and they will play against Jordan on Saturday. It's good that the game will start at 5:30 PM, not too early like the last two games.

So, Kabayan, let's keep our support strong.

True, I even thought that Gilas was about to lose this game but good thing that they didn't. Lamb is a good one and Thailand's lucky to have him.
