Barangay genibra San Miguel meets TNT Tropang GiGa this upcoming april 9 Sunday in Smart Araneta coliseum which is pretty good to watch as we all know that Barangay Genibra is the depending champion which is this game is going to be interesting   TNT want to prove that they can be a champion once again and no doubt they can. And also we can see a good fight as we all know that these both teams owned by two person which is there's no bias.
Congratulations to the TNT as they are going to the PBA Finals for the first time since 2011 (on Governor's Cup conference).

4 players on the TNT scored a total of 96 of their 107 points. TNT's import Hollis-Jefferson lead his team with 42 points and 11 rebounds. I watched most of the game, and his very good at drawing fouls to their opponent. I mean he averaged more than 10 free throws on this series alone. It's also my first time to see him having a three-point field goal because he isn't great in shooting threes, but his main asset is drawing fouls which is a good thing for the TNT. Newsome is almost non-existent on this series. He isn't the usual Chris Newsome that we are seeing that's leading their offense.

Now it will be TNT Vs. Ginebra. Most of the time, I always want to go against the herd (like what I'm doing in investing), so I will predict TNT will win the Governor's Cup title. I also predict that this will be a short series so that they will have a longer preparation for the FIBA World Cup though this is unlikely. I did put my bet on the Bolts and lost. Cheesy

The absence of Fajardo and the Coach Gallent being inexperienced are the main reasons why they got swept, but better luck next time I guess.

I think even with Fajardo on board and Coach Leo Austria handling the team. That won't change the result that Ginebra will win the series.

The reason is, Ginebra already knows how to handle SMB regardless if Fajardo is there. The gameplay will be changed obviously if Fajardo is there. It just makes sense for me to think about that as Ginebra already dominates Bay Area Dragons which is far stronger than the current SMB even with a healthy Fajardo.

The changes would be, if Fajardo is there, the series won't be a sweep. Smiley

I agree with you. One thing more is that, we've known Ginebra as a strong team in a conference where there is an import. SMB on the other hand dominates the Philippine Cup Conference. I wonder what MVP is thinking about his team because in the last Philippine Cup, it was SMB who won, and in the Commissioner's Cup, it was Ginebra. Maybe it's time for TNT to win this time? Cheesy

Anyway, it would be a better series if JMF and Coach Leo are there, but it happens. I'm an SMB fan, and as a fan, I'm a bit disappointed unto why they aren't using Terrence Romeo if he's healthy and eligible to play. I mean correct me, but I didn't see him play in this conference.

Well, it is what it is. I guess it's time to forget the sweep already, and focus on the other series which is the Meralco-TNT. Currently, this are the odds on Stake.

TBH, it's good that I didn't bet on the Bolts in Game 3 because the odds are attractive, but this time, I'm thinking that the Bolts will force a Game 5 with a win in this game. This time, I might put a bet on the Bolts. Cheesy

Additionally, I think this will be a low-scoring game, as Meralco has been struggling with their shooting.

In my opinion, betting on the under is a safe bet as despite the dominant performance of TNT in game 3, they were unable to reach 100 points. They had a high-scoring first quarter, but Meralco's defense limited their scoring in the following quarters. Although Meralco's defense was good, they couldn't generate enough points to comeback in the game.

Now that this could be the last game of the series, I'm sure Meralco will play harder to improve their offense, but their defense will likely remain the same.

By the way, a quick reminder for those who don't want to miss the game: it will be live at 5:45 PM.

Mikey Williams and RHJ have consistently been top scorers for TNT, but Pogoy has been struggling with his outside shooting lately. If he can improve and contribute to the team's offense, TNT will likely achieve a high score in this game. Although they failed to reach the 100 mark in the last game, the law of averages suggests that they will perform better and we know how offensively-minded TNT can be.

So far, there hasn't been any major line movement. If you believe that TNT will win, it might be better to take the -10.5 point spread, as it offers better odds.

While it's certainly possible, I don't believe there will be a Game 5 in this series. TNT has been dominant in the last two games and is determined to win. I'm not sure what kind of adjustments Meralco Bolts can make at this point. As long as TNT's import continues to produce his usual numbers, it will be challenging to stop them, especially with their strong outside shooting.
You'll never know as PBA are good at fixing games, I think the game between the SMB vs Ginebra was supposed to be fixed, unfortunately, Gray did not follow the script and he keeps shooting, there should be a game 4 like this one, but Ginebra are just too good that they cannot hide their talents.
Forget about it, it's nothing new to those of us who consistently gamble on PBA games. We can't complain because we are well aware of the risks, and our focus should be on ensuring that we bet on the right side.

Regarding this game, I believe that TNT with the spread is the right side to bet on. Otherwise, the spread wouldn't be so high, especially considering that Meralco is in a do-or-die situation. Additionally, I think this will be a low-scoring game, as Meralco has been struggling with their shooting.

It's looking like it will be Ginebra versus TNT in the finals, as these two teams are a good match-up. We shouldn't forget that Ginebra lost to TNT before the quarter-finals, so there's a chance that TNT could give Ginebra a tough match-up.

When it comes to import versus import, both teams have a good match-up. As for the next game, I have a feeling that TNT will win again. Meralco seemed to have no answer to TNT's outside shooting, and they struggled in game 2 because their outside shooting wasn't sinking. In fact, they didn't even make a single 3-point shot in the first half.
This is how it should be because if Meralco vs Ginebra, you'll see an easy win for Ginebra if ever.
Winning the game 3 for Ginebra gives them time to prepare and have some rest, it will also good if they will have game 5 between TNT and Meralco. Ginebra should stay active though despite of that long rest because TNT is a deadly team as well and there's a high chance for TNT to take the championship. Let's just move on about he performance of SMB, maybe this is not their conference yet.
I don't think Ginebra will have the luxury of resting much longer, as TNT is determined to end the series tonight and move on to the Finals. This matchup has been highly anticipated, and it's crucial that the team avoids any injuries, particularly to the import, as they play a crucial role in the team's success.

I placed a bet on SMB that game thinking they can at least win a single game.

Everything is good until they choked at the last minute. Not usual for SMB to have playing behavior like that.

I'm disappointed at them as they were supposed to win that game but lacked gas to withstand that pressure. Better luck next time.

That's a good win by TNT tropang Giga, this team is getting stronger and also thier import who can Contribute well if there no solid defense by thier opponent an also there's a lot of a good Filipino local players who can really make noise if thier opponent  focusing on thier import. And about the game of barangay Ginebera and SmB, we already know what team gonna advance to the finals cause we all know that both teams are sister company is pretty sure Barangay Ginebra will win.
TNT is actually one of the best teams in the league and they're always being thought of as the rival of the other teams from RSA teams.
Just to be a bit different but it involves our "Pinoy pride" player from KBL Anyang KGC who is Rhenz Abando. Have you seen those posts on facebook basketball pages about his salary breakdown? With just his first contract on his team, he'd managed to earn a lot and that's even more than the half of salary that a rookie can get in the PBA. That's encouraging for the young talents on why many are taking that path because of the salary is really a lot compared to what they can get from PBA.

It appears that the odds for a Ginebra ML win are a trap, as they are struggling to find their rhythm and are not hitting their shots. While SMB is not leading by a huge margin, I predict that this series will be 2-1 after this game. However, I don't believe there will be a Game 5. If SMB wins here, then it's likely that Ginebra will finish the series in four games.
There's a reason for the celebration today as Ginebra managed to complete a sweep against SMB with a massive comeback win. The team's never-say-die attitude was evident in this game, and there will be no tomorrow for SMB. Ginebra can now rest early, thanks to the excellent comeback win they just achieved. Congratulations to the bettors who had faith in Ginebra and did not listened into the trap thing as the result confirmed that it's not.
They have made it to the finals once again, and there will be no sister team this time as Ginebra has swept SMB. Coach Gallent must have realized that they cannot be a championship team without JMF, and the organization must have learned that letting go of Arwind Santos and Cabagnot was not a wise decision. In fact, SMB began to struggle after these two starters were traded.

The match-up between TNT and SMB is expected to be exciting, but for that to happen, TNT must win Game 2 to avoid a do-or-die situation.

Gallent needs to work more in how to mixed players chemistries. They've got a huge lead but they did not manage to use the clock and maintain the tempo, not sure what happen but it was almost a win for SMB if they just limit their turnovers, not a fan of running attack and not moving the ball well, unlike with Gin kings the rotations really allow almost all players to hold the ball before attacking.

With SMB, 2-3 pass and after that they will attack or turnover passing the ball will be expected!

Congrats Ginebra fans especially to those who bet during live game after the first half x6 if I remember it right.

Yeah, Gallent is a rookie coach, i mean as a head coach in the PBA so things like this is expected plus his favorite player is out so he could do nothing about the situation. But we also give credit to Ginebra especially coach Tim with his never say die approach and most of all, ended the series right away without giving away a game that might lead to suspicion to the fans that it was a gimme.

I wonder if there was someone here who took that ML odds for Ginebra before the game or when they are down by double digit in the first half.

Yup! Without JMF as his main alpha, he can't find the right blend for his players. If JMF and TR7 were playing the chance that they can win a game and avoid being swept by the Gin kings, but nothing to say now the series was done and Gin kings are now waiting for whoever is the winner between TNT and Meralco.

By the way, tomorrow marks Game 4 of the TNT versus Meralco match-up. TNT is currently favored at 1.16 odds, indicating that they are the clear favorite to win the game.

This could be the last game of the series as TNT has been dominant in Game 3, while Meralco was fortunate to win in Game 2 when TNT's import struggled. TNT will undoubtedly seize this opportunity, as losing would put them at risk of losing in Game 5. They need to go all-in tomorrow.

TNT has won by an average of 24.5 points, so I believe they will easily cover the current -9.5 spread.

That's a good win by TNT tropang Giga, this team is getting stronger and also thier import who can Contribute well if there no solid defense by thier opponent an also there's a lot of a good Filipino local players who can really make noise if thier opponent  focusing on thier import. TNT is a fully equipt squad. The locals are providing what the import needs from them, though Meralco manages to win a game against them, but the chance of snatching this series and move to the finals is slim.

A possible TNT vs Gin kings in the finals.

At one moment the SMB are leading by 7 with only a few minutes left. I went downstairs, and get some food then a few minutes later, I saw the game ended already and the Ginebra won. "I mean WTF!!". Those are the words that I said at that moment, but it is what it is. Congratulations to Ginebra. The absence of Fajardo and the Coach Gallent being inexperienced are the main reasons why they got swept, but better luck next time I guess.

Although they held a commanding lead, the San Miguel Beermen unfortunately panicked and were unable to stop the Ginebra Gin Kings' comeback run. It was a very embarrassing sight to see the Beermen get swept after starting the conference strong. With no other player on the team better than Fajardo, they should have realized this and adjusted their play accordingly. Perhaps in the future, the coaching staff needs to change their strategy as it was ineffective against a team that excels both inside and outside.

Ginebra's never-say-die attitude is their greatest strength as they always fight until the end. Even without Japeth Aguilar, they are a tough team to beat, and with his return to full health in the finals, they will have an even greater chance of winning another championship.

Many would've thought that SMB will win Game 3. I also saw on Stake at one time yesterday where the odds of Ginebra winning the game went to as high as 4.00 which is hilarious, and TBH I didn't expect Ginebra to win on that game as well.

This could be the biggest upset, and I didn’t expect SMB to lose like this, its look like they are not playing their game after losing to Ginebra. Congrats to Ginebra fans their who supported the team from game 1 to game 3, that could be a great profit already. Now going into the finals, TNT seems to be on a good spot as well and made a good challenge for Ginebra this time, this is so exciting to watch.  Smiley
