I think it's normal for SMB to need to win Game 2 so they won't be down 0-2 going into Game 3. Unfortunately for them, they still lack offense, as seen in Game 2, and their import is not contributing much, thanks to Justin Brownlee's great defense.
I guess this series might end in Game 3 as Ginebra will make sure to rest early.
JMF's absence is a big loss, and it's a tough experience for Coach Jorge Gallent. Maybe they could bring back Coach Leo Austria, who is a master at maximizing JMF.
The combination of Brownlee and Standhardinger is just too much for the SMB to handle. Standhardinger is most of the time being defended by Tautuaa, and he can't defend him because of CStand's craftiness when it comes to shooting. I mean we've seen him shooting some circus shots and some unexpected shots. No wonder why he is currently the leading MVP candidate. Both CStand and Brownlee got 32 points while Brownlee is just 3 assists away from getting that triple double.
In Game 3, expect the Beermen to win. It's not a certainty, but I don't think that the SMB will just let themselves get swept against their sister team.
As for the first game, I can feel the frustration towards Hollis-Jefferson's face because of his missed free throw in the dying seconds of the game. He has the opportunity to take the lead in the final seconds thru 2 free throws. Missed one and the one went in to tie the ball game then it went to overtime. I mean what if he didn't miss that free throw then they are now leading 2-0, but instead that missed free throw made the series tied at one a piece, and that's the first loss of Hollis-Jefferson this season.
McDaniels is just a monster on this game scoring 39 points with 20 rebounds as well. Newsome isn't having a good night as well scoring 5 points, but Black scored 28 points. I just hope that Hodge is ok after that not-so-good fall in the final seconds of the game.
