TBH, I was surprised that both games scored that high. I didn't expect since I've always seen teams scoring less than 100 points or at around 100-110 in the last games, but the 2 games yesterday was just a high-scoring game. 118-136 and 132-145. It's like an NBA game.

The first game of the day, and the debut game for Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and they got the victory over the Bossing 136-118. Their import isn't a three-point shooter, and you can see it on the stats that he didn't attempt any three point, but he is efficient on the perimeter shooting 14-23. At the same time, Pogoy just erupted and scored 40 points on that game. Looks like the TNT are back after their disappointing performance last season. 2nd in the standings and tied up with SMB with 6-1 record.

The second game of the day. I thought that it will be a low scoring game for some reasons, but it wasn't and it was also a high scoring game. It's a close one at the halftime and SMB only lead by 5, but they manage to get the victory. Now I've seen JMF scoring more than 20+ points this conference. He scored 29 points and their import scored 44 points. I knew their import as a low scoring one, though very good in the paint, but in this game, he just lead his team offensively. On the other hand, the Batang Pier are still winless with 0-6 record. They might got eliminated in this conference again if they lose on their next game against TerraFirma (another farm team).

Anyway, who won the bets? I only won 1 out of the 3 bets that I've made. Cheesy

Going to jump in for Gilas at this moment, what can you say that Kelly Williams is offered to play for the team? He's already added to the pool though. He's one of the best PBA players that I've grown up with but at his age, do you think that he'll be able to make and play his role while we know that he's already aged?
Did a quick look on the 24 man pool of Gilas that is in center position and it seems like they only got June Mar Fajardo and Raymond Almazan on the list. Kai Sotto will likely miss out the games while Japeth and Kouame are injured. LINK

This is the reason why they contacted Kelly Williams and offered to play for the team. I don't know, but they might try and get Mo Tautuaa as well if he's available. Overall, Williams' age might affect his performance, but he's playing well still in the PBA so maybe he can be a good back-up center for the Gilas, but with limited minutes I guess. They can't afford to do small line-ups as well because PH players are smaller than those of other countries that they are facing with.
Yeah, most of the big men will be absent on the next window and that's why they even added Williams on the pool even if he's too old enough to be part of it.
I do agree that Mo is a good addition to be considered by them but maybe, they really have considered that but Mo or his management didn't agree with to their wishlist.

TNT vs Blackwater is a high-scoring game with no defense on either team. They are just exchanging baskets, especially in the third quarter. However, TNT is still in control of the game, and I think it's hard for Blackwater to cover the spread with the way they are playing. Also, maybe this is the first time that the total scores combined will reach over 250.
Indeed, it was a high-scoring game, as the teams surpassed the 250-point mark. And it looks like we will have another high-scoring game, as SMB and Northport are currently shooting well. They have already scored a combined 76 points in the 1st quarter, and if this trend continues, they may reach another 250+ points.

Right now, the over-under is set at 249.50. Should we follow the trend or go the other way?

I did go the other way and lost my bet hehe. Bet under 249.50 at the end of the first half as I think that the trend will change in the second half because they will tighten their defense but i was wrong, the scores in the second half were even bigger than that of the first half.

Looking at the stats, both teams were shooting at more than 50 percent accuracy with NorthPort at 56% in the 2P FG and 73% for SMB, seldom we can see high-scoring games like that in the PBA.

With that, we should watch out or be aware that PBA is not a low-scoring game anymore, and if you can see an opportunity to bet at pre-game where the market at over/under is low, take the over hehe.

4th should be the quarter for Northport if they still wants to win, and they cannot just rely on their import, they have to follow what SMB are doing, as SMB are getting some good minutes from their locals.

NP unable to rally back as SMB continue to dominate in the final quarter, it was everyone inside the court contributed so well, too difficult for NP to bounce back, they are just exchanging scores which like what happened in the first game where TNT dominated their opponents with the help of the locals.

Nothing to say with the capabilities of SMB's locals, and with Fajardo playing like that, it's just like they've got 2 imports inside the team.

Northport vs SMB Today we can say that their shooting are very good and accurate final score is 132 to 145 which is we can say that is not an ordinary game by both teams  because we all know last year or last season they are not reach this kind of high points side by side. It's look like and NBA game which is big shit after big shots three points after three points and both teams shows their power inside the court.

Something that Blackwater can't afford, exchanging points and playing without defense TNT is more superior especially with the high percentage local scorer like Poguy, 40 points in this game better against their new import and playing without Castro. Moving forward, TNT is now the leading team from the current standing.
It's not surprising because TNT had early schedules this conference and they only lose once. Their 3 point shooting is very dangerous, especially with Pogoy and Williams shooting well, that would make TNT hard to beat.

Second game now with SMB against NP, high scoring game again almost end of 3rd and the score is over 200 now, the chance of reaching over 250 is still possible, good luck to mga kabayan!

The trend still continue, in the 2nd quarter, they scored 63 points combined.  The 2nd half might chance, but I like your idea that we should go with the trend. SMB is leading but it's just a single digit lead, so I'm sure Northport is very much desperate to win this game, so let's see what's gonna happen in then 2nd half.

Right now, the over-under is set at 249.50. Should we follow the trend or go the other way?
Already 255.5 now, seems like we are witnessing an NBA game here.  Grin

The Tropang Giga will be bringing in a new import in former NBA player Rondae Hollis-Jefferson to take the place of the high-scoring Jalen Hudson.

I mean TNT is performing very good with him as an import, but it has stated in the article that they need an import that can also play at the paint and bigger than him. Hudson is a scorer and his frame is a bit small compare to others, thus they needed to change their import.

I would say that it's a good move for TNT if they want to match up with the big guns of SMB teams like Fajardo. As we have seen with Hudson, though he is a good import but not that good compared to Brownlee that can score whenever he wants, he can score but can be defended/contained by a local player like Chris Ross and when that happened who can they go to if they want a point in a crucial period.

Speaking of TNT, they have a game tomorrow against Blackwater Bossing with a very high spread which i think they will have a hard time covering so with that i'm going to bet for Blackwater +11.5 @2.0.

TNT's new import will be test against the import of Blackwater who already shows his capabilities, this bet is quite interesting knowing that adjustments can happen with the new import, though in terms of the locals if TNT's new import manage to help in stopping Blackwater's import the battle between the locals will favor TNT.

Let see if how things will come up tomorrow, If I have some spare I will tail your pick here.

That's what also what i'm thinking before pushing the bet button on this one, adjustment period. Have not seen him play yet but i'm assuming that he is a good import considering that he was a first round pick in the NBA but PBA's style of play is a little different than that of Korea so he might adjust though thought they might win but covering the spread might be a challenge here.

TNT should dominate here, I hope they can minimize the production of Blackwater's import as he is a good import also. Last time he scored 40 points, and over 50+ on his debut.
I don't know if this might affect your bets, but there is a chance that they might go all-Filipino against the Bossing.

But as of posting time, the former NBA first-round draft pick has yet to obtain his LOC (Letter of Clearance) from his Korean ballclub Jeonju KCC Egis for him to be able to suit up for the team.

It didn’t help that the 28-year-old former Arizona Wildcats star and KCC Egis parted ways on a sour note.

Reports coming from the Korean Basketball League (KBL) claimed Hollis-Jefferson was cut from the team by KCC Egis head coach Chun Chang Jin allegedly after two straight bad games by the import
It seems like there is a problem with the KBL where Hollis-Jefferson is currently playing and him because they can't release him in order for him to play in the PBA. There are still hours left before they can get him and suit up to play against the Bossing.

With this news, I might go and bet with Blackwater as well in terms of spread. I might see an upset here as well just in case TNT will not have an import tomorrow. The import of Bossing is a high scorer as well unlike their former import Glover. You might wanna bet at the first minutes of the game to reduce the risk to see if TNT will have an import or not.

I think the problem with TNT's import is the defense, he is an explosive scorer but the TNT does not need that much since they have plenty of scorers, they need an import who can defense since Erram is still out and therefore their interior defense is not that good. PBA is now getting more competitive in getting imports as they can already get imports with experience playing in NBA.

I don't want to sound ignorant with how other's are seeing the outcome but it already done and like what I mentioned before
nothing we can do about it, we need to move forward and let this one go.

Right, we need to move forward because tomorrow there are games, and focus is very important so we will make a correct guess on what team will win.

TNT (1.10) vs Blackwater (5.80) , by the way, TNT has a new import, so might as well risk on this one/ Grin
SMB (1.10) vs Northport (6.00)

Hopefully, we don't see a game like that again. Let's move forward and forget what happened that night, for Ginebra fans.
Please debunk it because many might not moved on from what happened. Cheesy
Anyway, I'm not a Ginebra fan, but I've seen also losses from SMB and I just simply move on whenever sh*t happens. It happens. A lose is a lose. Move forward and move on. That's what Ginebra fans must do and forget about that "Sagip Kapamilya" thing already. Both teams did their best. It's just that, one team is having a bad night and that's it.

Sorry mate, I cannot move on, you said "both teams did their best", yes, that's true, Magnolia did their best to win and Ginebra did their best to lose, so there's a huge difference, to be honest. Anyway, you are right, let's move on.

Hahaha.. Nice take kabayan! precisely right they both did and the only thing that viewers/readers and fans can do now is to move on and wait for another game/s that we might have interest, else, wait for the semis where the competition is really happening and wait for strong teams to compete in the finals.

I don't want to sound ignorant with how other's are seeing the outcome but it already done and like what I mentioned before
