Quite disappointed as well with the game. I was expecting a Manila Clasico, but it was a one-sided game. I stopped watching by the third quarter when the lead was about 20+. I do not think missing Aguilar in the game would be a big effect on Ginebra with Stand performing very well. But Magnolia's defense was great as usual, and the locals are contributing very well. With a new import, they showed Ginebra that they can win. I do not think it was a freebie for Magnolia but if it was, it is a bad timing since it is Sunday and fans are expecting to see a great game.

Kind of disappointed, but it happens especially between sister teams, and it happens. On the other hand, the authorities will just let this thing happen and they will not do anything about it. There are some theories that I'm thinking as to why Ginebra did it. They want Magnolia to rise up in standings. Betting-related probably? Just some theories nothing more.

I didn't watch the 1st half, but I did on the second half thru the livestream on Smart Sports FB page. Ginebra's deficit went down as low as 14 or 15 points I think, and after that, it was all Magnolia all the way already. Crowds are happy because they think that they will do the comeback again like what they did last season, but it wasn't. If you're a Ginebra fan, you might get disappointed with this game especially the fact that Thompson didn't play the whole 4th quarter I guess (because I already stopped watching at the 6-minute mark of the 4th quarter) and at the same time, Aguilar didn't play because of injuries.

After all, there's nothing new here and the only thing that we can do as PBA fans is to just move on and move forward.

This is not their first win, it's actually their 2nd win but they have 3 losses already. Call it a sagip kapamilya but it's really the game of PBA, you can tell how Brownlee played this game compared to the previous games. They really made sure that Ginebra will not be able to comeback, a 30 point lose is not fun on a Sunday game where fans came to see Ginebra to win.

Once again, i would say in this column that i don't believe in this rigging thing because if they do this kind of cheating it will be obvious and with the help of technology, this can be discovered on reviewing the replays.

Let's just be optimistic and take advantage of this situation as this won't happen often so with that being i'm betting now for Ginebra +16.5 @1.89. They can lose this game but i think Magnolia won't cover the 16 points spread.

Very important game for Mags as they already got 3 early losses and they are now in the process of testing their new import against the top caliber team, if pride remain the same, this rivalries are what the fans are really enjoying to watch, all players are really aiming to beat one another, a good execution with the system that both teams aleady practicing for so long.

Both will be test now as locals and their imports are all capable to explode especially those known names who contributed well in terms of their offensive attacks.

Well, if that's how Coach Gallent want to run the team then there's nothing wrong as long as they're winning.

I think the problem is the design of the coach plays. They have a new coach, so probably he has a different strategy, if Fajardo will dominate the paint, for sure they'll be able to get points from him, but it looks like their go-to guy now is CJ Perez, not JMF, that's why the percentage is lower compared to JMF producing in the paint where the percentage is high.

Since when was the last time we are seeing a good independent team that is serious about winning, good thing Converge is bringing that competitive spirit as an independent team.

Before, we have both Alaska and RoS but now, we can only hear both SMC and MVP those giants franchise are the teams that exchanging the title, luckily we do have Converge who can bring something but still young and still unable to move forward to the finals, maybe time will come for this team to continue the chase and manage to play in the finals.

That might be an interesting time for PBA, seeing an independent team to play in the finals and hopefully they will manage to grab title to complete their resume inside the league.

Damn, what a great game by Converge giving San Miguel Beermen their first defeat in this conference. It just shows that Converge's young guns + their import is really in good chemistry right now and can match with the top teams. That was all thanks to the strict guidance of Coach Adin Ayo who I think will be one of the most notable coaches in the league if he will keep his consistency and is active.
