Perhaps Coach Tim should be the one coaching Gilas Pilipinas. Criticism of Coach Chot will never stop as long as he remains the coach. There is a lot for him to prove because our national team has not been performing well in international competitions. I believe it's Coach Tab's fault; he set a high standard that is difficult to follow and exceed.

But don't get me wrong. I'm not pointing out Coach Chot's statement.

What I'm saying is, regardless if those expected players are not fit to play at the window qualifying games that will be held here in the country, it's fine since the big deal will be on the main event and those original players should be fit on that time.

It's also a good opportunity to expose the backup players in the window qualifying games especially if the country is already eligible in the main event. In that way, these backup will have some additional experience if ever they will be needed to replace someone urgently during the main event.

Yeah, if there's nothing wrong with how the franchise owners will do, then those who are available will be happy to represent our national flag. I think it's the best achievement a player can be when you are playing for your country. Not with the money, but with the pride where you can bring the glory to your motherland.

Those players that are part of the roster really want to represent the country and whatever is offered to them, it's a big thing already to be part of it.
Chot is something else, he's not willing to work with anyone else. You've seen his ego and it will not change, the problem is on SBP but then, he's like too strong with connections there. I have no hate for him but we saw his run in the past and didn't have the initiative to make the call of people to resign. Too sad that the other great players are in different offshore leagues and became part of the Gilas pool but then, they're not used by Chot, they just heated their seats during those window qualifiers.

Any odds available already for this game? I think SMB will be the favorite team to win here as usual but the way TNT played this conference, I think they also have a good chance to win here especially if they will play with a team effort here again. This will be a high scoring game for sure, will have to look for a better odds here in favor to TNT.

The run was too late; they should have made it in the third quarter so that in the fourth quarter, the pressure would not have been so high. It's good that TNT won this game. They need to be at the top so that they will have the twice-to-beat advantage. Actually, the top 4 teams will enjoy that advantage. Meralco's import does not have good outside shooting, and neither does the whole team. On the other hand, TNT is a team of good outside shooters, but the problem is that Meralco was not able to defend well.

It's the same run that Ginebra did against SMB. It's just unfortunate that they were not able to complete the run. The game could have gone to OT if Nard Pinto was able to hit another 3-point shot. It was just a bad decision on his end; he was able to get the ball back after missing a shot, and he should have just passed it to Brownlee to take the last shot for a higher percentage.

This is the second time Brownlee has been outperformed by an import this conference, and it comes after their two straight losses. Brownlee amost has a triple-double, but the impact is not significant: 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists. Meanwhile, Clark, the import of SMB, made the following contributions: 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists.

The 1st game was a close one, but I don't know why the ROS's import didn't play yesterday, but nevertheless, a close win for them against the TerraFirma Dyip. The 2nd game is what I'm disappointed at. I did watch the game, NLEX had a double digit lead in the first half, but it disappeared coming into the 2nd half. At the same time, NLEX's import is like Hudson who can't play on the inside as well. He is more of a shooter, but not as efficient as Hudson. I don't know if it's only me, but if the NLEX will lose again after this loss, they might wanna change their import.

As far as I know, live streaming on Smart Sports is not on regular basis. There is a scheduled for it and I believed that in most cases, Thursday's games are not being live stream even on other main channels. To confirm if they really stop streaming live games, try to check on Sunday's game if they will cover it live.

I truly understand the frustration of watching from a random streamer but you have to expect that quality.

Magnolia vs NLEX was a close game up until the end of the first half but things changed when the Hotshots stepped on that accelerator pedal in the third quarter and fourth as they are now leading by 20 big points with 3 minutes to go.

Didn't know what happened here as i don't watch the game live because Smart Sports no longer stream PBA live games but just lucky to have bet for Magnolia Hotshots +2.5 @1.86 when they are down by 8 points somewhere in the third canto, usually i end up losing with this kind of betting style but i think i would win this one hehe.

Did a quick look on the 24 man pool of Gilas that is in center position and it seems like they only got June Mar Fajardo and Raymond Almazan on the list. Kai Sotto will likely miss out the games while Japeth and Kouame are injured. LINK

This is the reason why they contacted Kelly Williams and offered to play for the team. I don't know, but they might try and get Mo Tautuaa as well if he's available. Overall, Williams' age might affect his performance, but he's playing well still in the PBA so maybe he can be a good back-up center for the Gilas, but with limited minutes I guess. They can't afford to do small line-ups as well because PH players are smaller than those of other countries that they are facing with.

Moving back to PBA games, 2 games today, RoS vs DYIP and Mags vs NLEX, ROS and Mags ML is both decent, whaht do you think guys? 1.48 for Ros and 1.58 for Mags?
