I lost my bet but that's ok as long as we had fun watching the whole game.
TBH, Game 6 was more intense than this one. I mean from the start of the first quarter, the Dragons didn't get the lead already and when the Ginebra got that double-digit lead, they didn't look back. The Dragons tried to cut the lead, but Ginebra will still make ways to score.

It's a three point party for the Ginebra on the first half thus, they ended the half with a 22 point lead. Special mention to those who defended Powell as well as he isn't as efficient as he is though he scored 29 points, his presence and his offense cannot be felt on the court and it's because of the good rotation, double and sometimes triple team against him.

Congratulations to Ginebra fans and to the 54,589 who watched it on person. That's the largest number of participants in an PBA game ever and even Coach Goorjian was overwhelmed by the amount of fans who watched.

~
Just a short period of rest and PBA will now come back again with the new conference on January 22.

Expect new imports at some teams.
Now that the Commissioner's Cup is over, maybe let's shift the topic to Governor's Cup now shall we? Smiley

Most of the teams are still changing their import and the latest is the Beermen getting Cameron Clark. Still, teams might change their import in the next 6 days but for Ginebra, I guess we already know who will be their import right Cheesy.

Congrats to Ginebra bettors and I'm not one of those. Just watched the game silently in my room and not that exciting game.

The game between Hawks vs Raptors just recently is even more exciting lol.

At least, Bay Area Dragons experienced a good experienced here in the preparation for their EASL tournament in the next following months.

It was not just an ordinary tuned but they did make it to the PBA Finals. They just beat 98% of the whole PBA team which is not bad.

That's already a win that you saw Calvin, you should have asked him for some pictures.

Unfortunately, that pit-stop was just on the road side, therefore several parked cars are already there on the side buying some stuff too and I need to find an open slot right away which is not possible when we arrived. No picture was taken as he left quickly. But I have noticed that only a few recognized him even though there are lots of people there lol.

Rigged? Manipulated? Shout out to those guys who keep on saying that on Social media. Ginebra just owned the Dragons and no need for that conspiracy and theories. The Game 7 poor and worst playing level of the Dragons is the result of the effective offense and defense that Ginebra showed.
Rumors like this are normal, especially if you’ll look at the numbers that’s a big money already.
Anyway, Ginebra did a great job and there is no doubt about it, I’m just curious about what happened to Bay Area, they played well in game 6 but last night, they didn’t perform.

That’s a huge crowd by the way, and for sure Ginebra fans dominated the whole arena and that affects the game of Ginebra. Luckily, I was able to place some bet for Ginebra, and enjoy their winnings too bad I wasn’t able to watch it live but I guess there’s always a next time. PBA will rest for now, let’s all see in the next conference.

I don't think that it was rigged, it was a very competitive final series and the game can go either way as obviously it's a do or die game for both. It just so happen the Ginebra wanted it more than the Dragons. So can see every Ginebra players really suited up for this game and once they can that huge lead, it's over. And it give the fans another moment to celebrate, truly Ginebra fans will live and die with this kind of games. And congrats to those Ginebra backers and bettors, handicap covered easily.

Around 54,000 live audiences and for sure a large number of viewers at the stream too, and they didn't see a competitive and tight game.

They will be happier if they see the whole game was close and Ginebra gets the win. That's the excitement that live audiences want. Because Bay Area Dragons become Bay Area Lizards lol, the majority of all viewers, either at home or live at the venue, just wait for the Final score of the game as they didn't feel the intensity of the game.

Like anyone else here who favors Ginebra to win the series but sees Bay Area Dragon as a big threat, I'm also disappointed with the foreign's team Game 7 performance. They become deadly again when Powell returns in Game 6 that's why I'm sure most here also think that Game 7 might favor the Dragons.
They played their strategy like in game 5, they throw a lot of threes even if their shooting is not that good and maybe, its their first time playing against the huge crowd, that can intimidate them. Ginebra did a great job, they really played well and they are more eager to get the championship. Bay Area probably tired already, and they already accept their defeat. Let’s hope for a more foreign guest team, it seems that PBA fans wants to watch this kind of set-up.

Clear from the start, the Ginebra didn't waste every of their possession and kept it that way. The Dragons though established 35 points scoring after the half but unfortunately for them, Ginebra's hot shooting continues that's why even though the Dragons are doing great offensively on 3rd, the Ginebra is also doing the same.

I hope that some guest team, as strong as, or much better like Bay Area Dragons will be invited again to the league.

What the hell happened to Bay Area Dragons? I'm expecting a close Game 7 series after their Game 6 win performance.

That is also what I am asking myself while watching the game. It is like I am watching a different team. Their outside shooting was off, they cannot penetrate the paint and even their free throw shooting was absent. I do not know if they are intimidated by the huge crowd cheering for Ginebra but their performance really took a steep decline from what we usually see. One thing I know, Ginebra is really going for the win. They are active at both ends of the court and they are relentless in their defense against the dragons.

Congratulations to Ginebra and their backers!!!

That's an easy win for the Gin Kings, they were leading all throughout the game and they really controlled the game. Because of their hot 3 point shooing, this game went over easily, probably the highest scoring game of the 7 games.

Congrats Malonzo for winning the best player of the game. I'm waiting for the finals MVP now.
Yeah, looks pretty much easy! I thought that it was going to be a close game as to how close the games are from 1-6 but then the crowd probably is the booster for the Gin Kings and not for the Bay Area. As for the MVP, I thought that it's going to be Scottie but not, it's Standhardinger.

That's a wrap, Ginebra is once again a champion and this game was really a record breaking.
Their game plays are very well, and even the Bay Area throws a lot of long shots they are not threatened by it because they become more active and focus on their offense. Probably the crowd plays an important role with this championship, they cheer a lot and that boosted the confidence of Ginebra. Congrats to Ginebra and those who place their bet with Ginebra.
It's disappointing to see those Bay Area long shots be inaccurate but that's it, Ginebra is better today.

What the hell happened to Bay Area Dragons? I'm expecting a close Game 7 series after their Game 6 win performance.

Even though I'm betting for Ginebra to win the series and championship, I never considered the Dragons as an easy team to beat but it turned out that they seem become intimidated by how big Ginebra is from crowd numbers and their skills themselves. 6 players from the BGSM established an unusual 2 digit production.
The same thoughts and that's why I'm disappointed when I'm watching the game. I thought that there would be rains of long shots and threes but didn't see that.

Unable to watch the game live as I'm driving from a tiring 8-9 hours on our way home. But on our 1st stopover in San Marcelino, Zambales around 3 PM, we were able to spot Magnolia's Calvin Abueva, buying I think, mangoes. Just a bit surprised that he's really tall in person but watching him on screen, he looks small haha. Then around 9 PM, passing Bocaue Exit and PhilArena Exit Southbound, the hell traffic on the road going to Philippine Arena.
That's already a win that you saw Calvin, you should have asked him for some pictures.

Congrats also too to the best player of the game, Jamie Malonzo! That game was amazing and still kudos and respect to the Bay Area Dragons. Their shooters were really inaccurate and might probably be intimidated by the crowd.

Attendance check on the Philippine Arena = 54,589 audiences attended!

I congratulate the entire Ginebra team, even though I lost the bet here in our area, it's okay, I'm happy because there are a lot of Ginebra fans. The warmth of support,

I noticed that almost 99% of the people went to the Phil. Arena was gin fans. The crowd was very full. Ginebra was doing something different then and now there is no fading.

What a game for Ginebra and what a support from the crowd, this is one of the reason why they push this into game 7.
Do you mean they rig the last game to have a game 7?  Smiley
Well, game 7 is really exciting, with a huge number of crowd, the celebration will be so satisfying, PBA makes a lot of money tonight and so with the bettors.

Well, no doubt about the skills of both teams and Ginebra prevails at the end, hope to see Bay Area in the future conference because they had a great run in PBA and maybe they can stay longer with PBA or other foreign team will join which will make this more exciting. Time to celebrate Ginebra supporters, Gin bulag is discounted again.  Cheesy

Bay Area was probably amaze by the huge number of people in the crowd, they are not get used to it as this is a young team, inexperience, unlike Ginebra who has been in the finals many times already.

For sure ginebra will win the match as we all know their ability and strength but if they can't then it's still okay at least they try their best but only thing I assure that they have the chemistry of their import they play as one and they want to prove that local is the best .but no doubt that they are struggling it because Bay area dragons have miles Powell a great shooter and as well as Lam who can take a shot from outside.
What you've said for Ginebra, Bay Area has it all too. Ginebra's advantage is they are the crowd favorite and with the massive attendance, for sure that will fire them up. Bay Area could use it as motivation as well, you know when only few believe in you, you are eager to show what you've got. Also, they have managed to snatch a win with import less. Now with Powell, maybe things won't go as fans wanted to see. I'm rooting for Bay Area btw.

If they can convert it like that, the eagerness to prove that you are the best in front of many detractors will give you that fighting spirit to do all the best you can, though it's still the cheers that have the dominating factors here, but we will know who's team will shine high in these upcoming game 7.

Exciting game between the visiting team and the crowd favorite local PBA team, hope all will ends well and without any issue that will sorround after the game.

Loser should accept the outcome and not to point finger or to blame anyone.

If you are a ginebra fan, you will likely doubt taking the spread because it's too high, and actually, there's a chance that Bay Area will win, but with the help fo the refs they will surely win, and I think the safest bet here is the moneyline with 1.43 odds.

It's safe but the odds are very low, I would not take that, instead, I will just go with the total, currently, it's 183.5, and the way game 7 is played, it should be a very physical game, therefore, if Ginebra will dictate the tempo, I think this game will just go under, that's for sure.

It's not necessary to take the ML as Ginebra had clearly dominated the Bay Area Dragon. Watching them play, they seemed lost and have no idea how to win the game, I don't even see the kind of intensity that is necessary since it's a game 7. Their 3 point shooting is not effective, they have few attempts which is wrong because they cannot produce points inside.

The under was not safe, 1st half was already a high scoring game, I was thinking it will change in the 2nd half but the trend still continued.

@LogitechMouse, you are a brave bettor man.

Betting under 183.5 is the way to go here because this is a do-or-die game which is every shot is pressure laden which could make this a low-scoring affair besides defense will be so intense on this game.
I'm wrong, sorry mate. I was thinking this will be a close game but it turns out it's a high scoring game. No good defense for Bay Area, they turn the Ginebra a good 3 point shooting team.

I'm about to bet on this game now but this game was taken down on my favorite sports book, why is that? The odds were here two hours ago. Do bookies think that this is a rigged game?  Grin

I'm not sure but I had bet on live, maybe your bookie mate.

I'm watching the game, it does not look rig to me, Ginebra are just playing very well tonight, they can't miss and they are grabbing those offensive rebounds.

End of 3rd quarter and the Bay Area is still struggling. Their three-point attempt at the start of 3rd quarter didn't connect. Also misses free-throw shots. While Ginebra's 3s is connecting. If Bay Area can't stop the 3s of Ginebra or even respond to that, it's over for them.

I thought Bay Area will turn the game as they have an 11-2 run but after Powell hit 3s Ginebra called timeout and the momentum shifted back to Ginebra. Let's see this 4th quarter. It's not over yet .

Coach Tim show how mentally prepared his players, even the Dragons attempted to rally back Gin kings manage to stay focus and simply fought back and regain the momentum, the finals is not the one that I expected, double digit lead until the final minute is an impossible snatch, Gin kings established a huge foundation from the beginning and keep it till the dying seconds.

Congrats mga Kababayan who takes that big risk for the handicap, bookies system is really good at calculating the game.
