Is Brownlee is still eligible to play? He is now a Filipino, so he can play as a Filipino and if Ginebra will get an import, I think this team will become a champion easily. Do we have an information regarding this? please share so we will be aware.
Yes, that actually is. He's now a Filipino citizen and no longer an import and I think that Ginebra will take care of him otherwise, other teams will take care of him. Also, AFAIK, he's now added to the Gilas pool.
Yes, he is the import in the Gilas squad which is why they grant him his citizenship. About Brownlee playing as a regular in Ginebra, that will be to unfair for the other teams. Ginebra will have a constant import in their roster if that happens. I hope PBA will not let this happen. It will ruin the competition.
For now.He will be an import when he plays in the Ginebra "for now". Well, that's what I read in a reliable Facebook sports page. Him playing as a local player and not an import will have a great effect in the league in both ways. It will make the Ginebra so strong but on the other hand, it will make the competitiveness of the league way lesser (it has been low I know but it will make it way lesser). It might come to a point where independent teams might just walk away letting the league be a SMC vs. MVP league.
Overall, him being the naturalized player of the Gilas would be better for him. Now if the Ginebra will put him as a local player, TBH I might not watch PBA anymore. Brownlee is 34 years old though so his impact in the team might decrease overtime because of his age. I don't know but it might happen.
Trade rumors before Governor's Cup. Chris Ross, Marcio Lassiter and Mo Tautuaa are reportedly in a trading block to acquire Robert Bolick, Joshua Munzon and Isaac Go. They are willing to give up their key players to acquire the younger players. Which is fine, they are aging and after all, business is business. Tautuaa is rumored to go to Magnolia. What are your thoughts on these big trade rumors? Yay or Nay?
Nothing new. After all it's SMC and we know how SMC is doing unbalanced trades. Add Enciso and Romeo on the list because I also saw them on the list (just rumors).
Getting elite and young players and when they are at their post-prime already, they will make unbalanced trades to get young talented players and the cycle keeps on and on and on. Older players will be traded and younger players will either be traded to Beermen immediately, or they will put it into a sister team first then they will get after 1-2 years.
Thoughts on big trade rumors? If it's SMC, no comment into it because they have been doing this for years and the management doesn't do anything to stop it and we fans can do right now is to just criticize what they are doing.
