Had to place some bet with Meralco with this odds because I see them playing very well though ROS didn't stop from making good plays as well.
The odds are very attractive, I don't think if I made the right decision but it looks like Meralco will lose here. They are already down by 14points but of course this is not the end of the game yet. Such an exciting match up between Meralco and ROS, no one is giving up that easily.

That's a nail-biting win if you have taken that option for TNT as they only led by 10. Yeah I took it, and I'm happy I got lucky tonight, I'm watching but not so comfortable because it's very close to the point spread I took, but like I said, I got lucky so I won my bet.

TBH, it's hard to predict which team will win this time even though Ginebra wins after they lose.

Meralco isn't playing well this season and aside from SMB, they are also at the bottom right now.
On the other hand, ROS isn't playing very well like other independent teams, but they aren't that worse as well like Meralco and SMB. Well, they might come back and erase that lead in the 2nd half.

JMF is being sidelined for a long and was not that dominant when he returns last year for the SMB that's why there should be no problem with them right now as they are already used to that situation. I will give credit to Converge instead as even during their first conference, they are really creating noise against top teams.

SMB still has the upper edge if we look at their remaining healthy players. From starters to the bench, the majority of those are all good role players. The problem maybe is their chemistry with the import. I know it's not a good reason to say that it's the debut of their new import last night but who knows since it's a replacement.

True that, a well-rounded team and good coach always have alternative plays when their main man is absent. We can take the fact that their main offense always involves their main man but in the absence of this person, a team must have laid out an alternative strategy to make up for the absence of a player. The pressure lies on the shoulder of coaches, so if ever a team failed to do adjustment then I can say the coaching staff is a trash Grin

( no offense but coaches are responsible in all team adjustments.)

I agree if the SMB playing performance won't change then I think the franchise needs to take a look at their coach line up, possibly the problem lies in that area since SMB team is one of the top caliber team as you stated.

Ginebra are more eager to win and bounce back here, that’s how they played before and hopefully they can activate Brownlee on this game or else it will be more crucial for them. Magnolia is very consistent, it will not be easy to play agains them with that kind of plays, Ginebra have to adjust and play well for the locals. They are a sister company but I’m sure Magnolia will not go easy with them.

The loss of SMB against Converge is more devastating for me compared to Bay Area defeating TerraFirma.

I mean the outcome of TerraFirma-Bay Area is expected already and we can predict that they will lose to them. What I didn't expect is SMB losing to Converge by only 4 points. Now the SMB are 1-3 and they are at the bottom as well. We are almost at the halfway of the elimination already and just by looking at the standings, 4 of the top 8 teams consists of independent teams. I think it just shows that independent teams can still make ways to defeat these big companies even though they are getting talented players to them.

As for SMB, this is only my observation. SMB not that great when it is Commissioner's Cup and Governor's Cup but when it is Philippine Cup, they are dominating the league. Now with Fajardo gone for the remainder of the elimination, how will the SMB bounce back after having a 1-3 lose record.

It's surprising that SMB again being defeated by an independent team, like what you mentioned seems that they are not good in an import conference season, and now that Fajardo is out I'm not sure if how they can rally back to move up to the second round, observing them this conference it seems that they are not the same team who win the title last all-Filipino cup though it's given that without Fajardo the tempo of the game is far different compared with him inside.

I'll let this season be concluded if how SMB will handle their current position, as a fan I will just continue watching and enjoying the
game, win or lose, it's my team who's playing and giving the entertainment..

It's not over yet for SMB, they only loss twice, if they can make the right adjustment and start winning again, they'll still be in the playoffs, and probably by that time Fajardo will already be back fully healthy again. It's always the story with the SMB that once Fajardo is out, they'll really struggle, so it's not surprising.

The current standing of SMB is 1-3. The first game was a loss against Bossing, then Bay Area and the last one from Converge. If I remember it right, they also almost lose it against RoS but they managed to escape that game and win. Just like what I said as a fan, I'm not going to worry about it. Experienced wise, Ginebra most of the time bounce back after experiencing a defeat. It's a pride that they kept, and adding to that, Ginebra also has that mentality to play tough when they are competing against Mags. Not sure if my memory serve it right, Manila Clasico was way back an interesting game. Both teams are really impressing their respective fans when meeting inside the court.
