For sure, and with what is happening now with him he would just choose not to stay and look for better opportunities abroad. He was in a similar situation with Ray Parks Jr., now he is already happily playing abroad, so most likely that's what we will see soon.

TNT is the one who convince Williams to come back after that contract issue where Williams is asking for more, now they are suffering from how this star is acting, maybe Williams wanted to go and partway from the team, so what's your take if ever, moving to SMB the same way TR7 at Jericho Cruz did, hahaha  or maybe he also seeing some big bucks playing outside the Philippines.

Good amount of money is awaiting if Japan or Korea teams already scout him. Look how huge the Ravena's are taking and Wright is enjoying right now.

Maybe Williams is seeing other options for him or it's just another drama. We never till there's an update from both parties.

That's what they get for acquiring to much talent on their team since for sure they will just get this problem and also I think they can just fire Mikey Williams for not listening to them and they just seek for someone to be blame on what they are experiencing now since its really a huge shame to continuously losing especially with those non contender team.

The struggles of the top teams also help the middle teams like Converge to be in this situation because if only SMB and TNT are in their normal roster (no injuries), i think the standings will be just the same like we used to see and still in the playoffs, SMC and MVP teams will still dominate.

Speaking of SMC and MVP teams woes seems like Mikey Williams' issue is getting hotter as coach Jolas was firing some harsh words on their prized point guard and with this, team chemistry might be affected once he comes back to the team.

Not the exact words but the way i understand it, coach Jolas said that Mikey Williams is not a good team mate. Let's see what the future hold for this talented point guard in the PBA.

Reaching the finals will be their main target but of course it wont be easy for this conference as many teams are trying to do their best as well. Being able to reach the semi finals might already be the best result for them. They are composed of good players as well and that’s why they are able to reach this level even if they are just a new team. Converge really showing a great team effort here, winning their fourth straight win means a lot for the team, that could be their motivation to win more.

Yup, coach is the director and players are the actors, the success of their current winning streak is because the main actor(import) perform so well, he's bringing a lot to his game and the good thing all the locals are also performing their respective roles, I do hope that they will continue being an individual threat to this league.

Oh, I think I'm just carried away, I almost forget an SMB fan here. Waiting for Fajardo to start carrying the team again.

I guess winning the first round would already be a big success for the team, however, reaching the finals, that's probably not gonna happen. Well, converge is a good team defensively, the old Alaska is competing well, and as long as their import is playing like the best player now, they'll surely gonna be a tough team to beat.

Reaching the finals I think is too much, there are still good teams that are better than converge, but of course, I would be happy if I'm wrong and they'll upset the favorites. This is their best conference,the only thing I'm concern is their health, hopefully no injury will happen to this team as they deserve to where they are now.

Their second conference as for now and they are doing great already. Even in their 1st conference, they showed already has potential. Their players are really something great and the chemistry between them and their import is perfectly matched.

I hope they will reach the Finals. A champion on other company might give PBA a little trust more that they are not owned by a big company.

Only a few Alaska players remained on Converge. I think only 3 players so we can't link that Alaska spirit here.

The performance of their import might contribute to how the locals are playing well right now.

Plus as you point out, their head coach is also playing an important piece. It's been a while since we saw non-SMC or MVP teams sitting in the Top 3.

This is so far the best season of converge, they should be good with a good import but in All Filipino Cup, I don't think they have the talent to compete against big teams like Ginebra, SMB, and TNT, so they should enjoy this season and push to the limit, who knows, they'll reach the Finals.

If ever they will manage to take a slot to semis, it will be a good and impressive start for coach Ayo. I admire this coach very young but
full of IQ in reading players' capabilities.

We are not sure if how far they can reach but seeing converge competing so well and winning games the way it wasn't expected,

On that note, Converge is bringing good competition as an individual franchise.

So probably there's a problem with the management of TNT because good players like them did not stay, unlike with the SMB where we will really see lots of good players stay in the team and they are happy with their stay.


He think that he is the best play in the team but actually he is not, if I would rank the best players in a team, number 1 for me would Castron, 2nd would be Pogoy and he ranks 3rd in my list. This player only had one good season with the team when they won the championship but the following seasons he was already expose especially in the playoffs.

Not expecting too much from independent teams TBH, and I don't expect them to be at the Semis. That's how low the competitiveness of the league is.

We might see Converge at the top 4 if they will play like this consistently but in the playoffs, they will just get defeated if they will face either a strong SMC or MVP team which is at the bottom. I still remember the time when Phoenix was at the top spot of the conference, but they just got destroyed by SMB. Can't remember if the Phoenix are the top 1 or top 2 but at least they lost to the lower seed SMB at that time. I'm not saying that it might happen to Converge as well, but that's how I look with independent teams right now.

These are the players that also played in the TNT but for some reasons, have a problem with the team thus, they got traded and now playing better with their new teams. TR7 and Cruz are now at SMB and playing very well while Ray Parks is at B-league which doesn't have any problem at all.

Now Williams who is being paid way higher than the max salary of any PBA player is having the same issues as well. He is being unprofessional for some reasons, and he is very confident to the point where he isn't showing to a practice and will practice whenever he wanted too. He signed a 3-year contract with the team, but a few months after the signing, he is going AWOL for no reason. I hope the management will do something about his attitude problems.

It's been reported that Mikey Williams faces consequences for being arrogant and not doing his obligation on the team. A 1 week's suspension is being handed instead of a money fine. Jojo Lastimosa said in the interview that Williams is always AWOL at their practice without notifying the team and also pointed out that he is being paid big so in return, be responsible for the team.

I don't know what happening to Mikey Williams but he has that attitude even before since he's a "star".

Converge is now on their 4th game winning streak.

I really want to follow this team and where they should end up this elimination.

I hope that after securing at least a good spot in the playoffs, they can take advantage of that and reached their first-ever semis or Finals appearance.

It's surprising, a back-to-back loss for TNT and like what you said they are already in the game in that last quarter run just can't finish the game with the win, I don't have any idea with William's suspension since I don't read news just watching the live game before betting as observing the actual game can give much better idea if the team is playing well.

A good win for the fuel master, adding another one for the team and bringing them to a positive spot from this single round elimination.

PBA got a long break better rest for the player to address personal things. Game resume will be on Friday base from PBA website.

I was able to bet for the TNT ML @2.05 when the Katropa was down by nine points after the first half and i think it was a good bet since TNT is now leading by three point with less than three minutes to go in the game, hope the Katropa will pull away in this quarter.

lose my bet here as TNT failed to score after they were up by 3 points. Nice win by Phoenix but Mikey Williams was not playing on this game as he was suspended for one week if i'm not mistake for not showing up in practice.

What was the point spread prior to the game? I miss this game because I did not bet on a game that I cannot see it live, I'm just watching the TNT vs Phoenix now, and so far Phoenix are leading the game but it's nice to take the ML live if you are watching because this TNT team will surely come back.

The first game is over, converge winning streak is still alive.

It was a low-scoring game but an entertaining game to watch, Bossing is just a competitive team now, not the same with DYIP who just keep losing with huge margins. As usual, Q Miller still carries the team for another win, hope he will continue to play the best basketball.
