He is Liu Chuanxing, 7 foot 5 inches in height and he is there to make the life of June Mar miserable.
I do not think June Mar can totally stop this guy alone if he decides to impose his dominance in the paint. June mar will need help from his teammates to be able to stop this guy. Luckily, basketball is a team sport so June Mar will not have to do it alone.
I'm not going to buy the possibility that Fajardo will take the challenge or coach Leo will assign him I think it will be the import that will take this big center, SMB will not risk Fajardo he's not getting any younger maybe he will be assign to guard him but investment wise SMB will think for more years that Fajardo will be healthier instead of giving him that hard task.
That big man is not an ordinary big but he also have that fundamentals that will really be a pain in the ass whoever will take him, don't get me wrong but I'm all with the business so my personal take is for the future of SMB.
I think he will play Robinson, Fajardo and Tautuaa more often. 2 of them will play at the same time if this Liu Chuanxing will play. Just basing on his stats in the first game, this big isn't their starting one and I guess he isn't that athletic but his presence in the paint will surely be a big factor.
June Mar alone can't stop him but with 2 guys and a good rotation, I think they can at least lessen his efficiency. With regards to Liu's defense, June Mar can shoot perimeter shots as well so I guess we will see JMF shooting more on the perimeter than in close range. Overall, it will be hard for SMB, but I think they can defeat the Dragons. Let's see in the future.
I can agree with you, SMB have enough big man to help Fajardo knowing coach Leo he will rotate and play his card wisely, though they've got enough arsenal to go to war against any teams and with that last season performances that we saw from the entire team it's not just Fajardo who's playing well but the chemistry of the entire teams are already established.
With the guest team and the trades that take place, we might see some good twist around.
Though still the dominance of those big companies is still present, but who knows, maybe surprise and upset may happen from independent teams.
