Nah, they've been called out in the senate for this and that's why they've been vocal. But honestly, all they're favoring are the huge and rich teams, especially with the trades. Well, they're worried now because too many players are playing now in B League and other leagues offshore as the player numbers are likely to deteriorate in the near future. Jay Washington who's even likely a veteran already has been offered to play in the B League and has got better pay than what he's receiving in the PBA. It's likely that B League is going to get and extract even veteran and retired PBA players soon.

Just my personal observation maybe they just letting gilas to go down so that there young stars will not get scouted by other League since if Gilas players will continue to show quality performance then chances that they will be pirated by overseas just like on B.league. PBA is already aware on this they already pointed out this problem and already goes on japan to have a meeting on B.league officials. But I doubt B.league official will listen to PBA governors since for sure they will just continue what they do as their own league grow more since Filipino fan base is huge.

Very vocal in front the media that they are willing to help and can send their players for the National but when the time comes, they didn't stop the game and continue for the finals, if only they allow Fajardo, Perez, Poguy and Erram. That 4 stars can help and make big damage in helping the National against Lebanon. Not here to bring back those past games, but I'm just trying to express my opinion with both Marcial and A.Chua. They don't have that commitment.

They are more on the business and how they can suck the money of those giant companies who are feeding them.

In our language "Mga asong amu-amuhan" nothing will be change if the commissioner and his boards are afraid. Maybe it's better for the government to takeover this league and bring the right balance.

That's just clout chasing. There's no need for Pingris to get back on him. The Labador brothers are just chasing for the popularity of the ex-PBA players and they're making themselves feel that they should annoy them.

Rendon only wants attention but based on what Pingris did, he really got the attention that he wants but got it in a bad way. Rendon has been really an attention seeker and have done it to lots of personalities but he deserves the shame that he got when he faced Pingris.

Yeah, saw this news about a couple of days ago hehehe, not sure where it steamed from, and from what I hear it's the other way around, it was Pingris who challenge this Rendon for a 1:1.

For sure though Rendon got the attention of Pingris and of course he made the attention of all Filipino basketball lovers and this is just for the hype on his side. But Pingris seems to be very serious and really wanted to play and with big money on the line.

What's the sense of allowing him to video the game? I like how Ping handles this challenge; he knows that Rendon will just use him to gain more attention and more views, without any doubt he will just school this youtuber's. Ping is Ping he don't need anything to prove his skills in terms of basketball.

We should not allow this kind users/abusers to exist, let him cry out loud in his every social media post, If I were those former and current PBA stars i will not waste my time to talk or to create any reactions to stop this hypes.

They are just giving Rendon more exposures, and more money to collect out from the noise that he created after that challenge from Ping.

I respect Ping and his decision to only play the ball without any cameras.

Hahaha, this is a bit off topic but since it is the talk of the town since a former PBA star is involved then i think it is worth the discussion here.

From what i have learned, it was Pingris who challenged Rendon to a one on one basketball game because he was trying to defend coach Chot Reyes who was badly criticized by Rendon and the rest is history.

It is clear that Rendon is no match to Pingris if they play basketball but the money will flow in here because they are vloggers and we all know that Filipinos will go to that platform to witness them play if ever it will push through but i don't think it will because Pingris has been silent on this issue now.

Pingris will give him a chance but on one condition, it should be off cam, however, Rendon does not like it because he said he wants to show to the fans how he will beat Pingris. Clearly, he is just trying to be a clown here but he is successful of gaining the attention of the fans, most are hating him, but it's okay for him.

They know they can gain good cash and huge exposure if Pingris will bite their craziness and its good how Pingris deal with this situation since he show how Professional he is. And he don't have anything to prove as he is a legendary baller already which many filipino basketball fans know already, For sure we cannot see this fight to happen since this will be just a total circus since we already know who will win on this match up.

We know that money is the only reason why the Rendon brothers are making noise on social media because that's where they make money, they are after a lot of views.

Some people have fought Rendon, just last year the so-called battle of the YouTubers, it was obvious that the only reason was money, so do I know if everything he did in the past was just scripted?

But this one from Pingris, he's going to die because he thinks he's famous and has done something in the PBA field, he can collect a lot of money, that's why he's disappointed because what Pingris' camp wants is no video camera, Rendon doesn't want it, so Pingris just ignores him AKA "SAKURAGI" of PBA.
 

He wants Pingris, LOL.. and not only that, even the brother of Rendon is also joining the show, he is challenging the Beast for a two on two game. 
They're crazy, they know their capacity and they would really lose, so you are right, they are just seeking attention for views.

I think he is just seeking attention and income from views in his youtube channel. Pingris will not take that bait. Pingris is wise enough not to be used for publicity.

But I think GACO returned the challenge to Rendon Labador with a bet of 10 Million peso. I have no idea yet if Labador is willing to take the challenge. I think the bet is too much for him.

-  Rendon labrador? it's just a lack of attention. It's also obvious that people are holding there just to make Pingris money. They know that Pingris is a popular name in the field of Basketball and has done something in this industry, while Rendon is nothing but pure brains.

Isn't it true that Pingris wants them to fight off camera, and as far as I know, the money that will be earned win or lose will go to charity, that's what Pingris known as "Sakuragi" wants? But Rendon didn't want it, so Pingris didn't pay attention anymore... Because he saw that the only thing Rendon stupid was after was money and views on social media and Pingris didn't want to just connect his name to him because of the popularity he has.

Guys, I'm sure you are familiar with Rendon Labador, what do you think about him trying to get Pingris to play with him one on one? hehe.. it's a very popular topic now in the internet where some fans criticizing Rendon Labador for challenging the Sakuragi.

Not a good excuse, it only says that he is controlled by the team owners, yes, no love for our country as they cannot sacrifice for the country. Fans are not loving the action of the PBA, this league will become more boring if no changes will be made for improvement.

Players already know what is going in PBA that's why they are preferring to play outside PH.
In PBA, they might draft you but a contract? I don't think so. In PBA, if you are at the top of the draft pick and you are drafted on an independent team (most of the time, they are at the top), you will just be a trading piece for them so that MVP and SMC will do some unequal trades.

We can't blame the players especially those collegiate ones if they prefer playing abroad than in PH. Aside from the fact that they will have a higher salary there compared to PBA, the competition there is way better than in PBA. You will not see any team dominating the league for a very long time or you can't see 2 teams dominating the league.

Too much politics in the PBA, Comm. Willie is like a puppet to MVP and SMC and all of what is happening is in favor of them just like the recent 3-way trade between Blackwater, TNT and NLEX. This is the trade.
Blackwater will get Troy Rosario and Gab Banal
TNT will get Calvin Oftana and Raul Soyud
NLEX will get Brandon Ganuelas Rosser and Paul Desiderio (UFA).

Just look what the TNT and NLEX (sister teams) gave to Blackwater. Blackwater traded their top pick for Troy Rosario which is obviously an undersized big and a player who doesn't have any playing time with TNT. On the other hand, TNT got a rising superstar Oftana and a big which is Soyud. Nothing to say against NLEX because they gave up a future superstar for a possible superstar as well. The point is the trade isn't fair especially with TNT. Though this trade isn't still approved yet, I'm pretty sure that this will take place a few days before the Commissioner's Cup starts.

I can't blame those players that are being scouted by other leagues like B League because they're compensating well and the politics on the PBA is too much.
When Sen. Bong Go asked Kume to stop the PBA to give way for the pool of Gilas and players. Kume just answered that the team owners will be angry at him and he might lose his position as the commissioner. No love really for the national team.

PBA has a farm teams, now they have become a farm teams for overseas teams, big karma for them. Well, they cannot stop that unless players are given long term contract and will be sued if they will break the contract, maybe 5 years contract so players have no option but to stay.

The Commissioner needs to stand with a new principle and not just being a puppet dummy of these two giant companies, if he will continue being afraid with what the bosses wants then nothing can be done for this league, along the way fans will continue to stop supporting this league and we know how lesser the fans now compared with the late 90s and early 2000 there are real rivalries where fans loves to cheers for their teams and favorite stars.


I didn't watch or read the full articles about this senate hearing just some clips from the news, I'm just wondering why the senators are focusing with the players and the team owners but didn't tackle about the coach where pilipino fans are really voicing it out,.We have seen a lot of Senators during that gilas game against Saudi Arabia, the Boos for coach Choke should be the focus, not sure if this also been discuss during that meeting, I only heard about players moving overseas and if why PBA can't match the salary that overseas team offers to our local stars.
