Congrats SMB backers, hehe.. It's time to celebrate because not only SMB won, but they also covered the spread. Luckily Meralco committed bad turnovers and that's the reason why SMB easily won and covered. Advance congratulations, see you in the Finals soon.

First half and the score is 59-45 in favor of the Hotshots, though there's so much time left but if they continue on what they did, Magnolia will survive this one and we will see a game 6. Aaron Black is scoreless tonight, not good for Meralco, they needed him to perform but he was not a factor. I guess SMB has a great chance of winning this game, they will take the lead 3-2 after tonight.
Black got 4 points i think in the whole game, i think he got while posting the smaller Enciso.
Fortunately the SMB Beermen survived that scare from the Bolts where they were only up by two points but the breaks of the game favored the Beermen. Just noticed in the last 6 minutes of that game, no Ross, no Lassiter, no Vic Manuel in the court. Is this the sign that coach Austria is preparing to transition from the Death Five to newer players?

Thanks @harizen for updating the bets on SMB, looks like SMB is not yet sure will advance but TNT is already ahead with a 3-1 lead. I'm hoping SMB will win next game so they'll have a good lead and they might end it in 6.

TNT might be able to finish the series but I'm sure SMB will go ahead in the series. The spread will still be high for sure, but I'm thinking of backing them even if it's high as I believe they will win by double digit. Not touching the Magnolia vs TNT game, it's hard to predict that game.

TNT is very unpredictable, Magnolia cannot only stop Williams and expect a win because everyone on the TNT roster are playing hard and making sure they'll make a big contribution. Today, it was John Paul Erram who played well and help his team to dominate the Magnolia in a crucial game.
A win away to return in the finals but of course this is not the end yet for Magnolia, if they can be more consistent in the next game maybe they can even the series but we should not expect that much from them because TNT really dominates the series. Most of the players of TNT are doing great, from offense to defense that’s a total team work and the result is really good for them. TNT going to the finals is more exciting, hope they can finish the series in game 5.If both TNT and SMB manage to win their respective series, the all-Filipino finals will be full of excitement. The rivalries between these two main franchises of SMB and MVP will again bring entertainment to all the fans who still love to watch the PBA. Though it's not yet being concluded since both series are still ongoing but the chance to see these two dominating teams is really possible.
And in my opinion fans will love to see them both competing for the title, the challenges and the matchup will be more balance if the

They have plenty of talented players but do not have much experience in the championship, remember they lose Santos and Cabagnot and these two are a big loss, now, it's their time to prove that they made the right decision.

That's the problem Magnolia must face right now that they are down 1-3.They are managing to stop Williams but not for the whole game and in this series, he is more of a passer right now than a scorer and that's a good adjustment coming from him. On the other hand, you will see other players stepping up offensively like Pogoy, Erram, Castro and even Khobuntin which is a bench player but has been given that much minutes to contribute some to the team. Well, this is what we expect for the defending champs in the All-Filipino Cup that is being lead by Coach Choke. Ooops!! My apologies

All-Filipino Cup Finals between San Miguel Beermen and Alaska Aces. I just can't remember the year. JuneMar Fajardo is injured that time that's why Alaska takes that as an advantage and put the Beermen on the verge of losing at the Finals. After being down by 3-0, SMB managed to take the win in Game 4. In Game 5, the Beermen take the risks and allow JMF to play in the deciding game despite not being in 100% form. But Fajardo is really unstoppable and they are able to have another win until getting the championship at Game 7.
It's in 2016 where the impossible happened where the SMB won against the Alaska after being down 0-3.It's the first time it happened in PBA and that is one of the things that still didn't happen in NBA. A team down 0-3 winning the series. That's been written in the books for sure because they are the first team to do it. That's how dominant they are at that time. That's the time where the Death 5 (JMF, Arwind, Ross, Lassiter, Cabagnot) was on their prime years.

I was hesitant to bet on Meralco prior to the game. Their odds is @2.90 to win the game while SMB has only @1.4 if I remember it right. I have a feeling that Meralco will bounce back but I don't know why there's something that stopping me on doing that. What a regret but it's ok since we don't know in the first place what will be the result.
Meralco Bolts has an early attack did against SMB and they did a great work on putting SMB behind a big lead. But along the way, SMB manages to bounce back on the 2nd quarter and cut the lead to even 1 point. Meralco however bounces back at the half and repeat what they did on the 1st quarter putting again SMB on a big lead. They now maintained it until the garbage time and got the win.

And that's one reason why I beat on SMB because of that huge comeback in the second half. I have them at ML at 1.85 and I said that they have a lot of time to make a comeback in the 3rd and 4th quarter and chances are high for them.
So I didn't watch the game, and was quite surprised that Meralco on the other hand was able to maintain and then extend the league. If will be interesting the next game it will be an upset if SMB losses this series to them.

I can't recall in the Semi-Finals but in the Finals, there's one team who is able to bounce back not from a 3-1 deficit but a much tougher 3-0 deficit.

Although even trying to become optimistic about this team, it's clearly show they can't really match TNT. Lots of their players becomes inconsistent this series unlike prior games especially in the eliminations where Magnolia is even favored to win the championship next to SMB.
To bounce back, of course Magnolia need to change their game. I think they are just focus on Mikey Williams since this guy really carry the TNT without realizing that TNT is playing like a team and not as a one-man team. They are doing their best to stop M. Williams offense but his teammates are doing the adjustments because they are aware too that Magnolia will do that.

I thought San Miguel Beermen can somehow make the game close as after being behind by big points in the 1Q as they were able to rally at the 2Q. CJ Perez and Marcio Lassiter are some of their key players that do the job for them why they were able narrow the lead. I just can't imagined why all of a sudden their momentum got broke and that's the start of Meralco getting back to their momentum.
But if I remember, SMB still got cut the lead at below 10 points in the 3Q but that's it as Meralco just continue to drain their shots. Meralco also established a high-scoring first quarter game with 36 points and if my calculation is right, there was around 5 3's they made in just 1Q. Not sure about it though but the first 9 points of Meralco was 3 consecutive 3 points shot as I skipped watching the game during that time and began to watch again in 2Q.
With that Meralco win, I'm now opening again our AFC Champion Outright bet for those who wants to bet on Meralco. However, Meralco bettors should reach Php 5,000 bet. The deadline of placing bets for them is 5 minutes before the Game 5 starts.
