With Jackson Corpus and Chris Banchero that could be a good defense and offense for Magnolia Hotshots.
What I am worried about on Magnolia Hotshots' line up is their Center, it's kinda difficult for them for sure to play inside the paint especially in rebound plays. But overall, the all-Filipino line up of Magnolia Hotshots is kinda powerful, especially in defensive.

The Magnolia Hotshot has been knocking the door to championship these last two Philippine Cup, 2018 and 2019. Unfortunately for them, they were demolished by Fajardo and making Sanggalang looked like a rookie. I pitied Ian Sanggalang on his match up with Fajardo, i thought he gonna lose his confidence as Fajardo is toying on him on the 2018 final but he came back strong on the 2019 finals but still not enough to dethroned the Fajardo-led Beermen.

Now that no Fajardo and Slaughter in the All-Filipino Cup, i'm expecting Sanggalang to wreak havoc in the middle. The Hotshots, i think is one of the few teams that is keeping it's core line-up. If Paul Lee can stay healthy through out the conference, no doubt this could be the year for them to capture the All-Filipino crown.

Meanwhile on the TNT side, they are making sure that they will not be left behind on the bigs on this Fajardo-less conference  Grin.

Don't worry about their centers because SMB no got no Fajardo and Ginebra as no greg now.
They have a good centers with Sanggalang and Ravis, they play good together and also don't forget that Pingris is still with the team.

I am also betting on the Magnolia hotshots as for me they have the best balance on offense and defense in the league, their only hindrance was the SMB because of Fajardo, so since no fajardo next conference, they'll have an easy journey for sure.

They have a good starting line up and good reserves and coach knows how to manage their minutes pretty well.

With the new addition to the team like, Jackson Corpus and Banchero, they will be a big help in this all Filipino cup.

Fajardo's absence makes the conference more competitive yeah Cheesy.

Yes, that's what I want to see.

No reason at all for other teams that SMB does have Fajardo.

Fajardo has become an excuse for the failing team in the conference but now that he isn't available, I expect other team to play better without the SMB's dominance, and I think Magnolia with full of talent and good center, they'll win in this conference.

Paul Lee will lead the team but the team does not really fully on him, their full good rotation will make them very effective this conference.
Hopefully no injuries from this team.

Hopefully this won't come into reality, otherwise the more the team would be unbalance in PBA and only few teams will dominate.

I believe Columbian DYIP is far from a title contender but at least they're fun to watch now because of CJ Perez.

I'm seeing a different scenario if that trade happened.

It's not that the league will become not balance but CJ Perez talent will just be wasted here. The main core of SMB is still intact plus they also have a good bench roster. No need to add another one that will destroy the rotation. But as you know, SMB always gets what they want. I doubt SMB will also trade some part of the main core for this trade to execute.

But I like Columbian's stand regarding CJ that they will not let this guy go elsewhere.

Don't worry he will be ready to play but with a protective mask.

Here's the statement coming from the article :

Quote
Lassiter, though, promised he'll be ready when San Miguel raises the curtain to the new season in a game against Magnolia on March 8 - even if he has to wear a protected mask to protect his nose.
The contribution that he can add when he's going to play all in would bring enough impact to help his team now that Fajardo will sit for the rest of this conference.
Lassiter's shooting capabilities can be used from their system since they are not dominating inside.
Exactly that is why he is needed but according to what we read here, he will come back and will be ready in the game next month.

With him playing protective mask, I can only expect more on his shooting but not most of its defense.

Another bad news for the SMB team.

Another bad break for SMB as Marcio Lassiter out with fractured nose

Quote
SAN Miguel just couldn't get the breaks in the lead-up to the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup.

Marcio Lassiter is the latest to get bit with the injury bug, suffering a fractured nose three weeks away from the season opener.

The Fil-Am sniper got elbowed in the Beermen's tuneup game against Rain or Shine last week and had to sit out their preseason game against NLEX in the Phoenix Super Basketball Tournament on Monday.

Not so serious I think, he can still play with a mask I guess so hopefully he'll come back soon as Marcio is really a big help for the current SMB line up now.
He is a starter a good shooter and a defender, and a rebounder as well.

Another rumor involving a star and the SMB.

Is CJ Perez headed to SMB in a trade? Columbian star airs thoughts

The way I see it even if there's a chance it'll happen, I don't think it's a good move by the SMB because they already have a lot of talented players with the same position as CJ, I think now they need to find a big man than a guard.

When there's smoke , there's fire  Grin.

I think SMB is brewing something that involves CJ Perez and like you i don't like that move as a fan of PBA. You are right, the Beermen is a talent laden team and adding a future superstar in their line-up could make the league unbalance. If the rumor became a reality, Northport and Columbian Dyip are farm teams of SMB confirmed lol.

Hopefully this won't come into reality, otherwise the more the team would be unbalance in PBA and only few teams will dominate.

This will destroy the Columbian DYIP if this would happen, no to this, its like trading Ray Park to a rich team and leave the Blackwater a shitty team again.
Rich team can use their money and power to abuse other team but hopefully this will not happen, CJ is okay with Columbian for sure.

My friends are saying that I should bet on Meralco since it has higher odds of winning game 1, but my father who usually watches games said that it is better to bet all of it to Ginebra. He's saying that the team might sweep the series, I laughed but I think would put my game 1 on Ginebra.
Why you are still talking about the Finals where Ginebra won?
Actually no one can easily predict what would happen, if Almazan wasn't injured, we could have seen a long series but shit happens, so Ginebra has more advantage to finish the game early,, anyway, let's talk about the current event or any news related to the upcoming conference.

That's why the upcoming season is a great opportunity for SMB to silence the critics that they are just relying on Fajardo every All-Filipino Cup.
A good opportunity for them but I'm still curious about how they will play in this All Filipino Cup. They don't have Fajardo right now and it is time for Tautuaa to step up right now. I have watched a video saying that Billy Mamaril didn't continue with his retirement because the management need his services as they don't have a 2nd Option for the center position right now that is why they signed him another contract.

But roster basis if we compare to all teams, SMB is still on top. They have the most powerhouse cast in their roster lineup in the league. I don't see Fajardo's absence as a disadvantage too but it opens a more competitive match which the majority here wants.
Their roster is one of the best right now in PBA but there are good teams right now that are underrated in other conferences. The Meralco Bolts' roster is good already, they have good shooters and have a good rebounder. Ginebra's roster is good too. Fajardo's absence makes the conference more competitive yeah Cheesy.

SMB's roster needs to step up right now. We know that they are relying on Fajardo sometimes. Now they must rely on themselves. Their strategy which is the small lineup will be good but they will lack on the inside presence especially the rebounds.

SMB is a powerhouse team but people think that they are more successful because of June Mar Fajardo, not they have to prove that they are not only relying on June Mar to win. if you remember their historic run in the past where they are down 0-3 against Alaska, but when Fajardo came back to play, SMB win the Finals with a series score of 4-3, so that alone would say how big Fajardo's contribution to the team.

That is the reason I think they will be having a hard time.

As I said, their team is good with someone that can dominate the area below the ring. Fajardo is one of those players that dominate that position in this league, I hope SMB can hold on without him. As you said Fajardo is the reason for that legendary run, and no one would ever forget that, that is just amazing.
He's the very dominating center from this league, with his presence inside the game play is different and you'll see the big advantage. But moving forward since he can't play now due to injury SMB needs to prove that they still got the right combination to continue their domination from this cup.
It's hard but they need to show their capabilities with or without Fajardo they need to compete and win the game.

They realy need to, because if they miss this time most of basketball fans out there will really think the same thing. They really need to prove that SMB is not all about Abay Grin.

Yeah, no doubt that their roster is pretty good. They have good gunners in the outside, good ball handlers and good forwards; what I'm only worrying about is that can they balance the harmony of their team without their legit Center? Let' see. Now they are vulnerable in the paint, for sure other teams will take advantage of it thus they should brace themselves Smiley.

Compare before that SMB is the sure favorites to win the All-Filipino Cup, it now becomes unpredictable.

I wonder what sports betting site does have an outright betting for PBA futures. Want to check how the odds will be provided or OP, how about considering a mutual betting for PBA All-Filipino Cup Champion? Although it will take several months for the outcome.
