Tim Cone was just temporary by that time when he's in for the Asiad. I think that by this time, there's already a coach and they just have to announce it but I don't know when they're going to announce it. IMO, Tim Cone was actually good and he's got a different spirit than of Chot who keeps on gathering learning experiences.

They have given him the chance but Chot didn't deliver well and didn't listen to the fans. Whilst this time, one factor that the SBP rep said is that the next coach that the Gilas will have is the one who listens to the fans and everything for the sake and good of the team and country.

It was jampacked, fully packed with fans and can we imagine how it is going to be if the first ever match of him will be on the Araneta, Cuneta(it's small), MOA arena or even in the Philippine Arena. I am sure that a lot of fans all over from the Philippines are going to buy that ticket and will cheer for that team. I don't think it will happen, Converge maybe a rich team but their action releasing their high paid players does not make sense at all. If they can't afford to play our locals, how can they afford to get an import as good as Howard, I think the latter is a bit pricey as an import.

IMO, if he gets a chance to play in the PBA, he'll likely land only to either SMB or MVP team.

It could be a significant investment for the team that would sign him, but overall, it will be a big help for the league to boost its popularity, which I think they badly needed it since things aren't going the way they are expecting anymore.

Both heavy underdog losses but cover the handicap. While on the 2nd game, I took a chance to bet on Meralco thinking this time around it will be the heavy favorite that will dominate the entire game. unfortunately, things doesn't went as expected, DYIP were competitive early and they even took the lead, it's just only in the 4th quarter where Meralco able to find their shots, and although they won the game, but they still fall short. just a bad night for me as I took a -14.5 spread on the last minute, thinking it's a sure win!, LOL>> Sure win? Once Dubai league will be done maybe we can see this to happen and I also guess that team owners are also looking forward for him since thus us huge revenue in the making if they can sign Howard to their team.

But don't hope they eliminate farm teams for now since if they didn't change the current commissioner nothing will happen to that issue.

Interesting as might it be but I disagree that it will help PBA be more interesting if Howard is signed by top PBA companies.

If any team aside from these big teams at PBA can afford to sign Howard, that's a great move but if he will be signed by SMC teams or the MVP team, the league will not be interesting anymore as it will be one-sided. The league is already one-sided and by adding Howard to the roster of these big companies, it's like the PBA will now be just more of entertainment than competition. Howard, even at veteran age, can still pulverize most PBA teams even with a caliber import.

I'm more interested in the idea of adding a foreign team again. There is no update about this.

Dwight Howard has expressed his interest on joining PBA any time soon as long as the height limit will be modified that allows him to eligible to play. This is actually a good opportunity for the PBA to take the fans interest back and will surely watch the games not just online but live. He also said that Andray is also interested to play on any team. I'm sure that the commissioner and all of the big bosses are considering this. In no doubt that the Converge management has said that it's possible that they may take Dwight on their wing as they're connected to the Strong Group. But I don't think that the PBA management will make it easy as Al is more powerful than them but I hope that this actually happens.

It's not going to be a problem for SMC and MVP they've got the money, and if they see another opportunity if bringing nba stars may bring more ticket attendance then why not, they can also pay decent star to play for them, it's not going to be tough 😉 though I think it will be a difficult decision for the league of governors and commissioner, there's always pressure behind but it would be wonderful and enjoyable if pba will consider this.

For sure it will happen if they really push to make this things happen and I guess they are planning to do that since they need a huge boast of interest from PBA fans again and Howard is a great piece for them to have that. They should also explore on other more option like getting more popular ex NBA player since for that fans would love to see that great development happening in the league.

Howard hyping pinoy fans is really creating a noise in social media so it will be great for those big companies to ride with it since for sure this will convert to more ticket sells and help to gain back the interest of pinoy crowd.
Let see what happen next to this since for sure they are monitoring how Howard perform on strong group Philippines.
