There are some differences in the group strengths of the top teams. Still, I think it's pretty clear for each group who will advance to the next round. Normally all teams that are ranked 1st and 2nd. The difference with the teams from group 3 is too big. The exception is of course the group with Qatar, but they do not belong in group 1 in terms of strength. That would rather be group 4, and even then somewhere at the bottom. As number 51 in the world. Poland would also have a chance in itself, they have a pretty strong team.

I think Fifa needs to increase the participants from all other continents too, Europe has lots as compared to other content
the African continent is the most wronged, it doesn't even seem like it's a continent with more than 50 countries, it only has 5 teams in the world. that is very unfair
Europe does have most teams, but it also should be considered that Football is most popular in Europe, whereas other parts of the world have different popular sports disciplines and games.

It is true that Africa has very few participants. Unfortunately, in the past World Cups African teams were not able to compete with European and South American teams. I remember reading articles repeatedly before the last World Cups that now is the time for the African teams to shine, but in the end it mostly ended in disappointments and early eliminations. I hope African teams can perform better this year. I think Senegal in Group A, Moroco in F and Ghana in H might have a chance if they don't lose against their direct competitors.

that's a good group for germany. Germany,Spain,Japan and Costa Rica or New Zealand
i think it's an interesting group and Germany and Spain will probably finish first and second :i'm happy with the group.

Most likely it will be like that considering they will definitely be seeded in this group phase.
But of course I want a surprise from Japan here and now I am waiting for Costa Rica to be here now because there are indeed some pretty good players there and I hope names like Vargas and Navas can take part in the world cup even though it can be said as an underdog team

The strongest African team in this world cup is in group F. Sadly, they might not make it out of that group. It's a tough group. Only Senegal I will put my trust on. Ghana's group is doable. It’s for sure that Ghana will never beat Portugal and Uruguay. Senegal and Cameroon appear to be in fair groups to advance in the last of 16. With Senegal, I haven't heard of Qatar so much with football despite them being the host country. Ecuador cannot bring something extraordinary against Senegal, except for Netherlands in group (A). The only African team that is realistically having a chance is Senegal, the others will come back home but except something change from the Ghana I saw against Nigeria, Ghana will not make it out.

All the group is pretty balanced, only Portugal group and Germany group might look tedious, the real excitement of this year world Cup might start probably from quarter final matches, England has the most fair group, if they fail to qualify they need to overhaul all their players and coaches

the USA won't be so easy to beat, although england managed to win and score a lot of goals in the qualifying matches in this group stage things will be very different or maybe england will show us that they can also score a lot of goals in the games of the groups? well we will see, but they need to be careful with the US because it might surprise them

I think Fifa needs to increase the participants from all other continents too, Europe has lots as compared to other content

Yes, Europe does have too many teams. There needs to be more of a balance. I understand that if you picked the strongest 32 teams in the world, a lot would be European. But it's a world cup and should have a lot more participants from other continents. And if there were fewer European teams, it would make European qualification more exciting.

A good group for Croatia, on these competitions I'm most looking forward to getting teams we haven't played against recently.

Mosto f the teams from pot 1 are better than us and Belgium is one of the best ones around, but we should be able to progress from the group with both Morocco and Canada teams of a lower quality than us.

The group we are crossing paths with is among the strongest ones though - with both Germany and Spain there.

A good group, Croatia will have a chance with this group. I think it could go up. Belgium is also a good team and I think it has a chance.
The best matches to watch will be in group E. Both Spain and Germany are in this group, other teams will not have a chance. We can watch games with lots of goals, it will be fun Smiley

Fifa has already decided that from the world cup in 2026 and after that there will be 48 participants and not 32 as they are now. To be honest i don't really like that change. I mean yes of course that way more countries get a chance to be participate in the world cup but that also means that the average quality of the teams participating and therefore also the average quality of the matches played will be lower as with 32 teams. It is already known withing the football world that the european championship has a higher quality of teams and matches than the world cup because in the end the strongest national teams are in Europe. Outside of Europe there are only Brazil and Argentina that have realistic chances of winning a world cup title.
Yep, there are even some players who speak and are quite opposed to this because the reasons are quite clear, the more teams in the group phase, the more matches there are which will be very good to see but the players will be tired of this because of course this drains a lot of energy and time needed not to mention thinking about matches at their respective clubs even though it does take place every few years but still this is something that has been debated until now

The show has already started, so I will make a small forecast (which can be checked in 30 minutes). I want to see the group of death: Brazil, Germany, Poland and Cameroon  Grin And a group of life: Portugal, Mexico, Serbia and Saudi Arabia  Roll Eyes
I must say that despite the large imbalance of power between the teams in the baskets, we will see several groups with difficult to predict results.

If Portugal beats Serbia and/or Mexico, it's up to them... it won't go beyond the group stage.
Really pots are so distributed, we will see very complicated groups, almost certainly.

The draw for the World Cup matches in Qatar 2022 is today.

There are some potential nightmare groups, but one thing to bear in mind is that countries from the same continent are being kept apart, with the exception of Europe - groups can have a maximum of 2 European teams.
So for example: Belgium, Germany, Serbia, Wales can't happen.

Based on existing regulations, only Qatar which has automatically been in group A, apart from Qatar, all clubs will be drawn to get the division of groups A to H later, the draw based on FIFA rankings of course will have the potential to present a hell group later, especially Germany which is in in the second pot it is possible to meet superior teams such as argentina, brazil and also france who are in the pot 1, but fortunately for england they can avoid opponents who are indeed difficult for them like brazil, france, and argentina because indeed they are in the seeded pot, I hope England will be able to find an easy opponent in the group divisions later although maybe they will potentially join Germany.

Have to say, Pot 4 does look at first glance like a Pot 4, but Pots 1 through to 3 appear to me as having some imposters.

If the pots weren't due to performance, I'd mix them up slightly differently:

Qatar, while they have actually been secretly been squad building, and giving me good returns in past betting, of course as host will feel they deserve their seeding. Portugal I'd trade for Netherlands or Germany. I'd definitely push USA down to Pot 3 in exchange for Senegal or South Korea.

Big moment it will be for some countries, first Qatar who are host and also their first opportunity at the world cup. For Argentina and Portugal in same Pot 1, it means we will not be seeing Ronaldo and Messi play against each other in the early stages of the competition.

For the Ukrainian team who have demanded to be allowed remain in the draw, it will be interesting to see who they first come up against and who the crowd will support.

For the African champions, Senegal, they've been on phenomenal form, it will be interesting to see who they first come up against and how far they can go.

It is said that unlike other world cup competitions we have seen, people will be able to watch more games as the stadiums to be used are not so far away from each other and just within a 55mile radius. So for anyone traveling to doha for a live experience, this is great news.
