I do not think that African nations will have as much trouble as people claim they might. I mean they are not the best ones for sure, but what did you see from Americas or Asia that made you think that Africans would be the worst?

Africans are trying too when it comes to football but you cant compare them with Americans in so many ways, their football tactics are different and the Americans or England players tend to be more professional than the Africans footballer, if we are to start by listing the whites from the black the difference is much but they both has a unique role and significance they play when it comes to football.
It's going to be very difficult for some of the African countries to advance from their groups. Firstly they have experienced and professionals as mangers whose tactical nous, coupled with their deterministic and ambitious abilities, have helped them achieve a lot of things in their teams. Also most of their country players are first team players in their respective teams so i think it all add up. And again if you look at the draws you’ll notice that it’s Senegal that have an easy draw. The rest of African teams are in group of death. A group that their strengths are unmatchable and tactically below. There’s one thing I know for sure, having a names in your team and producing results is another. The only African team that stand a chance of making it through group stage is Senegal. And not because they are good but because the group is not as competitive as the other African teams in the other group.

the draw is now complete and here are the 8 groups
the opening match will now be Qatar - Ecuador
actually all groups are balanced and there is this time no so-called death group

Exactly, all the group are well balanced for this FIFA world cup. All the 8 group are in good position to challenge each other for this tournament, but it will be difficult to identify the team that will win the champion title because all the  teams are fully prepared to play this game in a professional way. The grouping has showed us how interesting this game will look like because all the 8 group has a good record that can speak for them in this tournament. The opening match is between Qatar vs Ecuador which many fans will like to witness the two strong team and how they have prepared for this FIFA world cup 2022.

All the group is pretty balanced, only Portugal group and Germany group might look tedious, the real excitement of this year world Cup might start probably from quarter final matches, England has the most fair group, if they fail to qualify they need to overhaul all their players and coaches
I think Fifa needs to increase the participants from all other continents too, Europe has lots as compared to other content

Fifa has already decided that from the world cup in 2026 and after that there will be 48 participants and not 32 as they are now.
That will be better, with 48 participants, other continents should have more slots, I hope majority of the slots will not be allocated to European nations, because if they do so, it does not justify the fact that the participants has been increased, there are stronger teams in South America and their slot is low likewise Africa also

Group A looks interesting. Qatar has IMO around 50% chances of qualifying to the next round. Netherlands in all probability will finish on top, but there is going to be fierce competition from Qatar, Senegal and Ecuador for the second position. I am more inclined towards Ecuador, since CONMEBOL teams are the best in football. Senegal on the other hand is famous for upsets, although their form has gone down recently. Qatar needs at least one win and a draw to progress to second round and it will be easier for them to defeat Senegal than Ecuador.

Group A really attracted my attention, not only Qatar as the host was in the group A. However, as a supporter of the Dutch national team,
I feel relieved, because the chances of the Netherlands to qualify for the next round are very large. In my opinion, among the other 3 teams,
there should be nothing that makes it difficult for the Netherlands. I believe the Netherlands will achieve  a perfect result in Group A. What is
interesting is who will accompany the Netherlands to qualify for the next round, my prediction is probably Senegal. Because Senegal managed
to beat Egypt, which was strengthened by Mohamed Salah, so Senegal's chances are quite large. Moreover, the strength of Qatar and Ecuador is
still below Senegal in my opinion. But maybe my prediction is wrong, because Qatar with the support of its citizens must be very motivated to win
at least one match. So indeed the runner-up of Group A is a little difficult to predict.

I think those who will advance to the next round in Group A are the Netherlands as group winners and Senegal as second place in Group A. because Senegal is also a team of proven quality, they have just won the African champions, what Senegally needs to know is as the first position in the FIFA ranking list for the African region.
The star from Liverpool also comes from Senegal, namely Sadio Mane. Everyone knows the quality of Mane.

As an Italian, I can't care less about the following World Cup Grin.
The favorite is always France but anything can happen.

It will probably the last world cup for Cr7 and Messi.
This year world cup is much interesting. A lot of countries are getting prepared by the day, and I'm suddenly at  the back of the defending champions France. They did it back at Russia 2018, with a thrilling 4-2 win over Croatia. I believe that they can still do it again for the third time, although this year can't be compared to 2018, because different countries are bringing in their new pattern of play.  But I'm sad because it's going to be the last world cup for the two great G.O.A.T. I don't know what will become of football when this two Big Names retired from football.

Slava Ukraini!
Results of draw gave us very ballanced groups. None of all groups can't be called as death group. Offcourse, we still can't get clear image in some groups when there is still few qualifier games remaining.
From all games, USA vs Iran sounds very interesting, offcourse, not from footbal perspective.

Yes, Europe does have too many teams. There needs to be more of a balance. I understand that if you picked the strongest 32 teams in the world, a lot would be European. But it's a world cup and should have a lot more participants from other continents. And if there were fewer European teams, it would make European qualification more exciting.
Don't agree about it. I think that current system is optimal, but anyway, from 2026 they're going to increase number of teams from 32 to 48 and not UEFA will get most of new spots. 48 is way too many teams and level of competition will drop - there will be plenty of not watchable games in group stage. Facts don't lie, teams not from Europe and South America barely can get out from group stage with few exceptions.

Group A: QATAR, ECUADOR, SENEGAL, NETHERLANDS - Qatar has a good chance to compete for second place. Netherlands first.

Group B: ENGLAND, IRAN, USA, SCOTLAND/UKRAINE/WALES - USA vs IRAN - will there be a repeat of the record of journalists' interest in this match? By the way, if Scotland gets here, there will be three English-speaking teams in the group.

Group C: ARGENTINA, SAUDI ARABIA, MEXICO, POLAND - An even group for three teams, the Saudis are outsiders.

Group D: FRANCE, UAE/AUSTRALIA/PERU, DENMARK, TUNISIA - I think France 1 Denmark 2

Group E: SPAIN, NEW ZEALAND/COSTA RICA, GERMANY, JAPAN - Germany vs Spain - two outdated teams will try to remember the past.

Group F: BELGIUM, CANADA, MOROCCO, CROATIA - Belgium and...?

Group G: BRAZIL, SERBIA, SWITZERLAND, CAMEROON - same

Group H: PORTUGAL, GHANA, URUGUAY, SOUTH KOREA - a very even group, Portugal can advance to the next round after drawing all matches. They have experience  Cool
Group A, Netherlands and Senegal imo.
Group B, England and Wales/Ukraine (I doubt Scotland will pass)
Group C, Argentina and Poland
Group D, France and Denmark
Group E, Spain and Germany
Group F, Belgium and Croatia or Morocco
Group G, Brazil and Switzerland but couldn't rule out the other two teams, quite hard group
Group H, Portugal and Uruguay but same, I can't rule out the other two teams passing.

Group E and D look some how the groups of death from the look of things because those teams are certainly not going to be push overs and every one of them will be made to work for their golden ticket to the next stage, but I fancy Belgium, Netherlands, Senegal to have an easy route to progression...unless otherwise.

The Best Tipster on the Forum!!
that's a good group for germany. Germany,Spain,Japan and Costa Rica or New Zealand
i think it's an interesting group and Germany and Spain will probably finish first and second :i'm happy with the group.

Quelle:my tv and ARD  Wink
Most likely it will be like that considering they will definitely be seeded in this group phase.
But of course I want a surprise from Japan here and now I am waiting for Costa Rica to be here now because there are indeed some pretty good players there and I hope names like Vargas and Navas can take part in the world cup even though it can be said as an underdog team

Japan really has low chances in this match no matter how much everyone wants an outsider in the group to go through to the next stage. Some really intrested groups in the upcoming world cup. Brazil , Switzerland and Serbia will play again like in the last world cup so that is wierd draw honestly

The strongest African team in this world cup is in group F. Sadly, they might not make it out of that group. It's a tough group. Only Senegal I will put my trust on. Ghana's group is doable. It’s for sure that Ghana will never beat Portugal and Uruguay. Senegal and Cameroon appear to be in fair groups to advance in the last of 16. With Senegal, I haven't heard of Qatar so much with football despite them being the host country. Ecuador cannot bring something extraordinary against Senegal, except for Netherlands in group (A). The only African team that is realistically having a chance is Senegal, the others will come back home but except something change from the Ghana I saw against Nigeria, Ghana will not make it out.

ecuador is much stronger than senegal, they even managed to draw against brazil, they managed to beat mexico, they managed to beat chile and we have to see that ecuador has no problem scoring many goals like senegal has, in my opinion senegal and all african teams will go home very early, this is unavoidable given that they have no quality of play, the disaster that was seen in the CAN and even in the qualifying games for the world it was clear that the african teams are very low in In terms of quality, of course they have some high quality players but in terms of the team in general African teams don't have any chance in this world cup

It is really weird to have some groups with three teams in the World Cup. But the system works the same still. And I don't see any group that is full of tough teams actually. All of them seem to be like there are two huge teams and the remaining are far worse. It is interesting to see England and USA in the same group as I didn't witness it in the past. Actually it is not the only interesting group of course. This is going to be one of the interesting World Cups as it is going to start nearly at the end of November.

I think Fifa needs to increase the participants from all other continents too, Europe has lots as compared to other content
the African continent is the most wronged, it doesn't even seem like it's a continent with more than 50 countries, it only has 5 teams in the world. that is very unfair
Europe does have most teams, but it also should be considered that Football is most popular in Europe, whereas other parts of the world have different popular sports disciplines and games.

It is true that Africa has very few participants. Unfortunately, in the past World Cups African teams were not able to compete with European and South American teams. I remember reading articles repeatedly before the last World Cups that now is the time for the African teams to shine, but in the end it mostly ended in disappointments and early eliminations. I hope African teams can perform better this year. I think Senegal in Group A, Moroco in F and Ghana in H might have a chance if they don't lose against their direct competitors.
If we think about the group of A & H then these are almost death group. All the participants in here are strong enough to qualify. Senegal has performed well and lastly there are in world cup. I hope they have a good chance to qualify.

Europe is always the most noted ones, and Brazil outside of Europe is the most noticeable one as always and have always been but not really that amazing this year neither.

I am guessing that we could put Senegal there along and we could say Europe + 2 teams seriously playing this year. Aside from that England probably have the most to say this cup, they had a terrible loss that they can't live with and want to get revenge for it.

The 2022 FIFA world cup is going to be a great football moment as various nations' teams will battle for the cup and the host will also retain the cup from leaving their hand.
