Not only Modric, but there are many other players who are likely to retire from their national team after the 2022 world cup. Ronaldo, Messi and many other top players seem the most likely candidates to retire after this.
Rakitic and Modric are two good midfielders for Croatia, they are great players with almost the same quality. I'm not really sure about Croatia in this world cup, that's because there are other countries that are really good to be favourites, like Brazil, France, Argentina or maybe England too. I chose Brazil as the favourite, they are looking very strong for the 2022 world cup.
Yeah, this is probably one of the world cups that will have the most retirements ever. I can't remember any other with more.
It will be an historic moment, and it will allow new stars to be formed. I'll keep an eye on the newer players as well as they're also going to try their best to put their names in the world stage. This is their opportunity.
Normally every year does have a lot of retirements, but this one will be a bit different because we are going to see Ronaldo and Messi not being available for the next one, and that makes people look at all the other names as well.
If you check all the previous world cups, there were a lot of retirements but not names as big as this before, there are no names as big as Ronaldo and Messi, those are the two greatest players ever in history of football and they are retiring on the same world cup, well at least from world cups. That is why we are taking a closer look to all the other names as well. This is why, it’s going to be difficult to watch them, and if they lose which they probably will, it will feel even worse.

There is no doubt that this World Cup is going to be one of the most exciting ever. We are talking about the World Cup after a pandemic and almost the start of the third world war. As a result of this World Cup, a lot of the greats of the game will also be retiring after this tournament.

In my opinion, this will be the most important World Cup in the history of the game. At the very least, this will be the most important World Cup of this century up to this point. There is a good chance that they will lose the game. (About Ronaldo and Messi) It will probably be the last time that we will be able to see them play in the international arena, which is why I am going to watch it.
We are going to watch the best World Cup in history. Perhaps such a magnificent football World Cup may never be held again. All this can be attributed to the Qatar Football Association. We all hope for our own country.

The transfer market value of players has been scrutinized to find out which is the most expensive team among the countries participating in this year's World Cup 2022. The most expensive team in that regard is England. However, the England squad is yet to be announced. But the potential team has three players whose transfer value is 80 million or above. They are Harry Kane, Phil Foden and Jadon Sancho. The entire England team is worth €1.35 billion.
List of Expensive Teams Participating in World Cup.
1. England: €1.35 billion euros.
2. France: 1.138 billion.
3. Brazil: 1.064 billion.
4. Spain: 1.031 billion.
5. Germany: 1.0205 billion.
6. Portugal: 938.5 million.
7. Argentina: 764.5 million.
Didn't expect England to be number 1 in terms of expensive players, but that's all for players who play for the English Premier League club, Jude Bellingham should be included in the top 3 most expensive players, considering he is a key player in every Dortmund match. If you look closely, the player's contribution is still lacking when compared to Brazilian and Argentinian players who actually managed to bring their clubs to the top flight in their respective leagues. Well, apart from that it's just a number, let the ability and good strategy prove it in the world cup later.

Maybe it was just speculation that some local media stated this, that in reality none of the players looked extraordinary, at least bringing England to win the World Cup and the UEFA European Football Championship, that there are so many countries outside England that have achievements like Brazil. Argentina, Italy, Germany, France, Portugal, and some even become the best player in the world, none of the English players become the best player in the world, so it will be everyone's question, actually it is not ethical if we go too far to talk about which country has the most expensive player, Waiting for the World Cup to end there is a right thing to see which country will produce the most expensive player in the world...

Argentina is a well balanced team. During the last two years or so, they have performed exceptionally. And the reason for that is other players are giving good support to Messi. Argentina is no longer dependent on any of the individual players. Apart from Lionel Messi, they have legends such as Paulo Dybala, Ángel Di María, Lautaro Martínez, Nicolás Otamendi and Leandro Paredes. Argentina is a well balanced team, and they are not lagging behind in any of the components. My only concern would be injury, given the fact that many of the players are nearing retirement.
Latest best achievement by Argentina in World Cup participants under Lionel Messi lead until final stage on FIFA World Cup 2014 Brazil but beaten by Germany at the final stage. In this time participants I think not any balanced yet with Argentina composition exactly at midfielder, no doubt with attacking line have by Argentina with Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria and Lutaro Martinez but they don't have best holding and attacking midfielder like Juan Sebastian Veron or Riquelme.
Its seems not any special performance Argentina in World Cup 2022 because they don't have balanced yet with all player line composition except with forward position only.

Argentina still needs Messi even though Argentina's burden is no longer on his shoulders, it is likely that Messi will be placed as a playmaker to serve his team-mates and build attacks. however, in essence it all depends on how they carry out their matches on this championship stage. as for Dybala, he will certainly be absent due to his unresolved injury, and can be played if Argentina qualify for the next round.

Dybala will still be needed in the Argentina squad even though he is not always the main player, but his contribution will still be needed until he fully recovers from his injury. Argentina came to this world cup, not filled with a depth of players who have big names on all fronts. only Messi is an icon from Argentina. however, if you look at the statistical record in 35 matches without defeat, and being able to win CONMEBOL, Argentina qualifies to be one of the toughest challengers in this championship.

Are you sure about this? Argentina squad was announced a few days back and they had included Paulo Dybala. If his injury was a serious one, then he would have been dropped from the squad. And from what I have heard, Dybala has already joined the Argentine squad in Abu Dabi (where they are based right now). The information that I have received is that he has completely recovered from the calf injury. Dybala is such a key player and I just hope that he will be available from the Group phase onwards. If he's injured, then it will be a very big disappointment.

It's true that anything could be happened but I just express my thoughts. You took France , Germany, Spain  I also wanna add one more team on this group that is England they are also doing good at ranking. And if you look at it, it seems that this will be Messi's last World Cup game. I want him to get a FIFA Cup, and this is also possible because their performance is going very well.  Also I've put Brazil in because they've won most of the matches they've played recently.
The squad that is owned by England is still quite worrying, just look at Maguire's quality in the Premier League who performed quite poorly with United, but the coach still believes in him, even though the Three Lions have other player options in that position, if you are a fan of the English league then it's not hard to see Maguire's qualities, even though football isn't just about one player. For me England is still very doubtful to appear perfect.

Lionel Messi will do everything he can in this world cup, considering this will be the last world cup for the Paris Saint-Germain superstar, while France are also missing some experienced players like Paul Pogba, because it is still doubtful to appear in Qatar.

When it comes to valuing players, the English players tend to have bigger valuation than other foreign players even when some of this players are not worth the amount they are valued for so it is no surprise to me to see England at the top of this list when Harry Maguire alone is worth 80million and he plays like he does. A team like Portugal who have very good and experienced players including the G.O.A.T is ranking 6th on this list so you can see and understand what I mean.

If Argentina only relies on Lionel Messi, it is feared that they will never reach the semifinals, even though we know Messi is a player to be reckoned with and his quality is above average. I mean Lionel Scaloni must be able to combine the strengths of young players, senior players and play collectively, while Lionel Messi is a support and mentor on the field for his friends.
That's true, because in general Argentina will have to count on all the good players in this world cup and definitely not just Messi. Other young players who have played in the best leagues in Europe also need to be recruited again to strengthen the Argentina team in this world cup so that Argentina can be a country to be reckoned with in getting this world cup.

Quote
La Pulga has great players apart from Messi, the Argentina squad is perfect for now, they have played a lot in Europe's top leagues and in experience they also have readiness, so Argentina's chances at the World Cup this time are great.
I also see predictions that Argentina will give everything in the world cup this time, apart from the motivation of those who have good players like Messi, Argentina also has better experience in the world cup so that this time Argentina should be watched out for by other countries.

Argentina has a superb squad. And with their recent performance, has made them a sure candidate to win the World Cup. Argentina has a lot of good players on the squad and don’t entirely rely on Messi.

Admittedly, there are older players on the squad. But they are more experienced, having played professional football their entire career. I think Argentina, however great their team is,, would face a lot of tough teams in this World Cup. It’s going to be exciting to watch every game.

That’s mainly because most of the time when they joined world cup they got there without winning anything. This time around they are good, and not just because they have Messi, they are good even without Messi but great with him and they won their own continental cup before they got here.

They have never won it during Messi period which is like 20+ year period so that’s a great achievement. Knowing that they won that and coming to world cup with it, means that they think they are already good enough to win it. Which brings a lot of confidence to them as well, it’s not really that much of a problem for them and I believe it will definitely help them win the world cup as well.

I don't think, Argentina can win this world cup this season because Messi performance in PSG these days showed that, it will be difficult for them to win this title. If Argentina coach can still invite those potential players that assisted Messi last season to ensure they dominated well despite they didn't achieve the world cup title but their performance was very good. Argentina coach need to prepare other players very well in case other team players focus on Messi they can use other players to achieve what they want from the match, and to prove to people that they can perform well without Messi.

I would also like to add that I see more confidence in all the players in their team than in the last few World Cups where the Argentina team looks stronger this time. This confidence will go a long way in playing well in the World Cup. Also they are probably thirty-five matches unbeaten so far. With that, they won this year's Copa America by defeating Brazil, adding that they are finalism champions.

This is a world cup tournament, not a South American tournament. Brazil and Argentina can go unbeaten in their continent qualifiers league for the world cup but don't expect they will go unbeaten in the world cup cos they will be playing against the other continent's best countries.
How can you be sure that Brazil and Argentina will lose easily, these two countries have a good track record in the World Cup, wouldn't this be quite an important asset for both countries.

It's too early to say Brazil and Argentina will win the World Cup this year. Although these two countries are in a good position to compete in Qatar, on the other hand France, Spain and Germany are also well prepared for the World Cup.

Brazil and Argentina are two of the biggest names in South American football. The South American football teams have the ability to defeat any team, but it has been a long time since they have won the World Cup. It is undeniable that European countries dominate this tournament. For Argentina to win the World Cup, I wish Messi the best of luck.

I don't remember any big victories for Argentina for a long time, they have a very good team in terms of players, there are a lot of stars, but their interaction in the national team is not the best. Argentina is a very good team, but I will say my opinion that there are stronger teams in this World Cup and I am not sure that Argentina will be able to reach the final, but I wish them to do so.

I think that this time is the right time for them to perform better, maybe there is a long time without successes for them exactly because they didn't harmonize that well in the national team as these star players were young then, but now they have the needed maturity for such an important competition and also Messi their main star has the maturity needed to perform better in this event.

I am also fancying them to win this World Cup and if the odd is good enough I think everyone should try some money on them because it is now or never for these players to get the title.
I would also like to add that I see more confidence in all the players in their team than in the last few World Cups where the Argentina team looks stronger this time. There is no question about that there are one the strongest team in FIFA specially in this period but I will add more word with that because if you see the  recent performance of others then you have to also agree with that Brazil and Belgium and also France . I think these teams are the most favourite team in this FIFA world cup 2022. But in my personal opinion I think we are gonna see again these strong team Argentina vs Brazil in on final

Argentina and Brazil, both qualified without losing a single match in the South American qualifiers. They might end up winning the world cup undefeated in the entire thing...
