Luka Modric is a really talented player who have impacted positively in the world of football and showed so much love for the game. Everytime you see Modric on the pitch he continues to show his class which differentiates him from other midfielders on the pitch. I guess this will be his last world cup so I am expecting to see some of his best performances in this competition and how he will own the croatian midfield.
Not only Modric, but there are many other players who are likely to retire from their national team after the 2022 world cup. Ronaldo, Messi and many other top players seem the most likely candidates to retire after this.

Rakitic and Modric are two good midfielders for Croatia, they are great players with almost the same quality. I'm not really sure about Croatia in this world cup, that's because there are other countries that are really good to be favourites, like Brazil, France, Argentina or maybe England too. I chose Brazil as the favourite, they are looking very strong for the 2022 world cup.

I think that Croatia will be able to play better in the World Cup compared to what they have done in the UEFA nations league. And I really do not understand why people give so much importance to the UEFA nations league. Because even the players who are playing in the UEFA nations league, do not care about that tournament so much.

I think that Croatia will be able to play well against Belgium. But we also have to remember that the Belgium team also has some great individuals. So, it is not going to be easy for Croatia at all. Modric is going to have to plays really well in that match. And all the other players in the team will also have to perform above average.

I really hope that the game against Belgium will be the battle for the first place in the group. Croatia likes to make stuff complicated against the weaker opponents and then they have to earn points against stronger teams. I hope this won't be the case this time and that they will secure advancing to the next round in the first two matched.
But I agree that all players will have to be at their best in every game. Some opponents may sound easier than others, but there are no easy games when you play the World Cup. Especially in the knockout stage when every mistake can be very costly.

Well personally, I think Modric is in very good shape, in Belgium we have Haazard and we all know how well he plays, and even more so when he is in his team, Candá I see it as a team that can be or look somewhat weak , but I am considering that Croatia has the potential to reach a final, these countries are incredible, but as the tournament goes on and they qualify they become very strong, and they have always had very good players, I think that Croatia will pass and it will easily reach the semifinals, as it has done on occasions that have made us dream, of course I see it that way, we still have to wait to see how the players are grouped and with what strategies they can go out to play, everything depends on it.
I think that Modrić showed this season that he is still Croatia's most important player. It's not only because of his play. His appearance on the field brings some sort of relief to his teammates. Maybe I'm biased but for me Croatia without Modrić and Croatia with him are two totally different teams.
It will be a tough game against Belgium but Croatia is known to play their best game against strong opponents. I'm worried that the first two matches for Croatia are against Morocco and Canada. It could happen that they "shit the bed" in one of those games and then they'll have to fight with Belgium for the next round.
I agree with you. Croatia usually plays best against the strongest national teams, but often fails against weaker teams.
In this year's League of Nations, they lost the first match at home to Austria, then they beat against France and Denmark away from home and finally won the first place in the group.
The last qualifiers for the European Championship also began with an unexpected defeat by Slovenia.
With that in mind, obviously you shouldn't worry too much about how Croatia will play against Belgium, but you should worry about how they will play against Morocco and Canada  Grin

Brazil has odds of 4.00 to win the tournament. Wouldn't that be a bit on the low side if you think about it? I understand that they are top favourites, but a team like Germany is on 10.0 while almost all of Bayern Munich is part of it, supplemented with other world top players. We all know how Brazil - Germany ended in 2014. Germany is more than just an outsider, they are capable of beating any team in this tournament.

Despite being a small country, Qatar's ability to host the Football World Cup today is truly admirable. Qatar has never hosted a football World Cup before. So it's natural to expect something a little different with World Cup football this year. Only a few days left for the much awaited day to begin. However, there were negative comments about hosting the World Cup in Qatar. Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter said that Qatar is a small country, so he did not agree to host the World Cup in Qatar. But that time in 2010, Qatar defeated America by 14 to 8 votes and that's why Qatar is hosting the World Cup. The Qatar World Cup is going to be the last World Cup for many of the stars in the world of football, so football fans are expecting it to be different than ever before.

The main reason that Qatar is hosting the world cup and even Blatter admitted is, is money... Qatar just gave a bunch of money to the highest Fifa officials so that's why they got chosen. Money is and will always be one of the main factors to decide which country will host the world cup.

The world championship starts in a week. I don't think Qatar is taken seriously as a participating team. Whether that is the case remains to be seen. I think they are better than we think, they are also reigning Asian champions, you don't get that easily. In Asia you still have a number of countries such as Japan and South Korea that can get decent teams on their feet. But Qatar has also drawn a fairly favorable group with the Netherlands, Senegal and Ecuador. Nice that they can play the first round against Ecuador, not the best team in the group. Qatar could well survive this group. They will have to win the first game against Ecuador, as the Netherlands, but probably also Senegal, are too strong for Qatar. The Qatar team is full of confidence at the moment.

Qatar is small but mighty. Small does not mean they can't host and win the world cup. If their plays are strong and skillful enough to withstand with Brazil and Argentina then they are good to carry on. Though I have not really study the football history and I don't think, I have heard any country in the world that has hosted world cup twice so so for Qatar hosting the world cup once is not a new thing but it is normal.

I also believe this world cup is unique, because Qatar been refused to host the world cup and finally hosting it will make sure that they do well in this opportunity so that when they ask something international, it would be given to them.
Yes you are right Qatar is a small country But it is far ahead of other countries in terms of finance and power .If you look at their preparation around the football cup, building new stadiums and installing all the latest technology in the stadiums, I think Qatar is ahead of other countries in this regard.
Qatar is very strong economically. Due to which they are going to host the best football world cup in history. Hope they can finish this world cup successfully and we football lovers will enjoy it.

I sincerely can't wait for the world cup in Qatar to commence.  The beauty of the stadiums I would relish for all eternity should I have an opportunity to go watch the matches live.
Seeing I have to watch the aired view, I look forward to my favorite African teams going farther, also for the Ballon d' Or winners and runners up, mostly Mane with hopes he recovers soonest and feature for Senegal. Also, other international starts who for them this is their final world cup appearance due to age factor and retirement issues.
This will be an interesting world cup, specially because for so many great players this will end up being their last one.

I'm pretty sure most of the countries will bring their A team for this world cup and we'll be watching world-class matches.

This will be the last time we see this type of world cup tournament. The next ones will have more countries in it, which will probably feel a bit different.
This year's World Cup is going to be really wonderful and amazing. We can see this World Cup in Qatar. Qatar prepared their ground for the World Cup in an unusual way.Indeed, this World Cup is the last World Cup for many players. But this time, it cannot be said for sure which country will win the World Cup title. Now some countries are getting stronger. But let's see that we will enjoy this World Cup more than last year.

A topic that hasn't come up often here, but who would have the best coach in the World Championship? In any case, I don't think we need to put the coach of England (Southgate) in this list. If we look at all the coaches, Van Gaal is the coach with the most impressive history. Scolari was also a good coach, but he is no longer a coach of Brazil at the moment. Mancini was a very great footballer, but as a coach I think he is a bit less. The really good coaches are usually already employed by the football clubs.

I think its not that "beautiful" considering over a dozen people died while trying to make these stadiums. But I do agree that I can't wait to see the teams play, I really want to see all 64 games if possible, because it is going to be something us football fans all over the world will watch all together.

This isn't like champions league where even though the world is watching, it is only about Europeans, or not about any league, this is the WORLD cup, meaning the whole world will be watching, more so from nations that participate, but the ones who don't (like my nation) will still watch it very much so, because it is something that the whole world has in common.

The transfer market value of players has been scrutinized to find out which is the most expensive team among the countries participating in this year's World Cup 2022. The most expensive team in that regard is England. However, the England squad is yet to be announced. But the potential team has three players whose transfer value is 80 million or above. They are Harry Kane, Phil Foden and Jadon Sancho. The entire England team is worth €1.35 billion.
List of Expensive Teams Participating in World Cup.
1. England: €1.35 billion euros.
2. France: 1.138 billion.
3. Brazil: 1.064 billion.
4. Spain: 1.031 billion.
5. Germany: 1.0205 billion.
6. Portugal: 938.5 million.
7. Argentina: 764.5 million.

England is overvalued for sure . The price is so big because o most all of them play in the premier league and their cost is pumped up. Brazil should be at first for sure but maybe because of age of some players its a little lower. For me Portugal is surprisngly high on the list

Honestly English ones are a bit overvalued if you ask me, there is absolutely no reason for it to be like that, but premier league teams like to buy the English players for a good amount of money and premier league is one of the most highest paid leagues in the world, it’s not just at the top, if that was the case then PSG or Real would have been in talks too, I mean if you compare the teams that relegate each year, premier leagues are still richer. So that is why English ones are a bit overvalued if you ask me.

On the other hand, if we are looking at the current situation as nothing but regular football and put all these estimations into play somehow, you are going to be upset because money might be important, but it’s not everything.
