Turkey’s goalkeeper and the defenders are very good.Ozan Kabak is playing very well in Liverpool, Çağlar Söyüncü in Leicester too.Burak Yilmaz scored 3 goals in the Netherlands.Hakan Çalhanoğlu is in great shape.I think there will be a draw. However, Turkey would not be a surprise if they wins.
Turkey has Merih as well, he is on the rise and getting better, I do not know if he will catch the Norway game or not but I would not risk him honestly. Ozan and Caglar is more than enough anyway they are very good players, Ugurcan is awesome as well, he is 100% guaranteed to leave for a big club this summer if he keeps this up, he should have been at some other club already if you ask me, a european team at high level leagues getting paid 5x more than what he is right now.

Burak is a weird guy, I never really liked him, he never seemed like a player who would score a lot, his "style" and his antics in the game never really screamed a good scorer, but dude ended up scoring so much in his life, it is a weird feeling because whenever I watch him it looks like he is the worst striker ever, and for a single moment he ends up scoring anyway after such a horrible game.

Russia - Slovenia 2-1
The first half was very productive! Slovenia managed to score a goal in the last minutes of the first half...
Now the odds on their victory is 15... Knowing the game of my national team, anything can happen in the second half! Grin

Slovenia made a really good start by managing to defeat Croatia. And they are playing quite well against Russia. The goal came in the 36th minute could really help them stay in the game and they may manage to make a comeback. But their job is not easy of course.

What people need to know is that this is not the same Croatia from 2018 World Cup in Russia, some key players have left (Rakitic, Mandzukic, Subasic (GK), Corluka), and Modric is 35 years old. In the match with Slovenia, they had only one real chance, which speaks enough that they have very big problems with realization.

Cyprus is nominally a weaker team than Croatia, but they showed that they can offer good resistance to stronger teams than themselves, and it is no coincidence that they played a draw with Slovakia.

Modric is old yeah but I always thought of him as "old" and all due respect, that tourney was a sort of fluke for me that he stood out -- not that I rate him poorly at all, he still features in my "to score" or "to assist" at club level. Betting against Croatia hasn't been good enough odds-wise, so yeah, I did fall for them at the first game. Still think this is theirs to win though -- group I mean.

Wouldn't exactly call 36 min "in the last minutes" but haha good game. I had Ilisic to score in UCL but he didn't start, nice to see him grab one on the big stage. Good luck to you! I'd be taking those odds now except they were probably lucky not to concede at least one more. Still, you'd be chuffed with a draw, wouldn't you? =)

World Cup qualifying tonight in the group G match between Turkey and Norway.Norway's offensive line is very strong.Haaland and Sørloth very talented players.I think the match will end in a draw.
Belarus vs Estonia = Belarus
Norway vs Turkey= Turkey
Croatia vs Cyprus= Croatia
The Netherlands vs Latvia= Netherlands

I really wait for the matches above, but Turkey is also not a team that is easy to beat, that match is sure to be interesting

Russia and Slovenia currently lead in Group H and whoever wins the match between Slovenia and Russia will become Croatia's main competitor for first place in Group.
The group is actually very even and will probably be uncertain until the end, and if Croatia overcomes the current crisis, it will remain the favorite for first place in the group.
It seems that Slovakia also has problems, so I give the advantage for the second place to Slovenia and Russia.
The fact that Slovenia managed to beat Croatia is an accident, I think after several matches everything will change and Croatia and Slovakia will be the leaders of the group. Although if we look at it in general terms, then yes Slovakia, Slovenia and Russia are very equal teams. Only Croatia stands out for me, I thought they would come out as leaders from this group.

Slovenia did managed to surprise me when they beat Croatia in their first game but I think it would be difficult for Slovenia to duplicate that success again when they play against Russia, with Croatia sitting in this group, I believe Russia would surely want to gain as many points as possible from other teams, I guess Russia should be able to beat Slovenia today and maintain their top position on the table in Group H.

I predict another victory for Turkey. Don't go with the betting odds, as they don't take in to account the recent form. Turkish players performed exceptionally during their match against the Netherlands. If they can defeat the Dutch, then definitely they can defeat the Norwegians as well. If that happens, then the Netherlands will be in a difficult position, as they were expected to top the group.

By the way, I don't understand why the odds are so low on a Russian victory? This team missed the goal from Malta! Grin And the Slovenian team is not worse in class than Russia! In my opinion Russia can lose, but I am not sure... Roll Eyes

That's a fair question, as Slovenia beat Croatia, they don't have better squad quality than Croatia but they managed to beat them. We can see similar situation against Russia today too. Slovenia doesn't have a a fancy squad but have some quality players. Croatia win was a surprise for me, maybe today a draw in Russia would be enough for them. Probably that's why Russia odds are low, Russia needs to win at home but Slovenia would be ok with 1 point today.

Currently, I think very few people look to Russia, as a team capable of winning the championship. I think it will be on the final face, but I don't see her as a candidate.

It looks like odds are changing for the benefit of Turkey.  Grin  I expect a really tough game in this. Norway are more powerful with Haaland and Turkey defense should watch out for him especially. And Sorloth also is a big threat. But after seeing Turkey's determination against Netherlands, I also think that Turkey could manage to beat them.

So the odds for Turkey have been changed from 3.20 to 2.85? Even at 2.85, they are under-estimating Turkey, since Norway is being given 2.43. I think many of these sportsbooks simply go with the FIFA ranking to decide the odds, rather than looking in to other factors such as recent form and unavailability of the main players. And during the Turkey vs Netherlands match also they did the same thing.

A lot of people lose money based on bookmakers' estimates... And if you take into account the unpredictability of recent games, then making predictions about upcoming games is very difficult!
But I bet on Turkey win too, we'll see how they play...

Turkey's position in the rankings would have been behind, but they are stable enough as a team. And we got proof of that in the match against the Netherlands. The Netherlands ranks 14th in the FIFA rankings and Turkey ranks 32nd. Still, they put up a formidable 4-2 win over the Netherlands. I think they will be able to defeat the Norwegian squad as well.

Today I would like to choose Turkey, Russia, Netherlands, Portugal for betting. The match between Russia and Slovenia could be a draw. However, I will bet on Russia's victory. What's your pick?

Slava Ukraini!
Ukraine is not a minnow team. They have qualified for World Cup before and previously they had star players such as Andriy Shevchenko. Even the current team have some very good players such as Andriy Yarmolenko and Yevhen Konoplyanka. But France completely dominated the game. They had 18 goal attempts, compared to just 4 for Ukraine. Also France had 62% possession.
Ukraine is really decent team, especially under management of Shevchenko. Offcourse, they aren't on France, Spain or Germany level, but I think it's not something sensational that they took point from France. But your information about Ukraine players is a bit outdated. Konoplyanka was amzing 5 years ago, but now he barely get to play for Shakhtar and I actually surprised that he is still called to national team. Yarmolenko also far from being West Ham starting 11 player. But yeah, they have great players like Zinchenk or Malinovskiy.

Personally, I'm much more worried about the poor result of Croatia in the match with Slovenia.
It's a continuation of the bad cycle of Croatian games after the World Cup in Russia, where they won a sensational second place and perhaps an indication that Croatia is moving away from the top of world football.

I don't think there is need to worry about Croatia, it's just their level. 2018 World Cup performance was above their level. They are good team, but not that much better thans Slovenia that this opponent would be must beat for them. Also, many of their main players aren't that young, so it's nothing surprising that they aren't as good as they were few years ago.

It is very hard to predict outcome for matches in world cup qualifications or odds are to low but I think that good startegy would be to bet on goals.
I asee a lot of matches are ending up with both teams to score so if we are smart we can take advantage of that.
Turkey has a good chance against Norway and I think that double chance would be a good bet for that match, after they won against Netherlands at home and this match will be played at neutral ground at Spain, that will probably suit Turkey more than Norway.
