Slava Ukraini!
Spain draw with Greece was biggest surprise tonight. Spain played well, but referee gave questionable penalty which made score 1:1. Greece today made just 1 shot in total - feel the 2004 vibes, lol Cheesy
Ibra returned to national team with an assist and win against Georgia.
There was some interesting high scoring games with big comebacks like Hungary 3:3 Poland, Scotland 2:2 Austria (amazing goal by McGinn is worth to see), Romania 3:2 North Macedonia.
Hungary - Poland probably was the most exciting one.

Hungary 1-0 Poland

Very unexpected for me that Hungary scored a goal and is winning so far. It seemed to me that the Polish team is a stronger team. After all, Poland has more good players. Before the start of the match I thought that Poland will win with 2 goals advantage.

today's games will once again be games with little chance of making a profit.

Germany will win and the odd is so low that it's not even worth making a bet

Spain are also going to win and the odds are so low that it's not even worth making a bet

Italy are also going to win and the odds are so low that it's not even worth making a bet

england are also going to win and the odd is so low that it's not even worth making a bet

Maybe I should take a chance on the game:

Hungary - Poland

I will think until the time of the game if I will place any bets or if I will just watch the games

I'm taking Germany -1.5 together with Spain -1.5 against Greece, both the Germans and Spanish squad have fielded a strong starting lineup, it should be a stroll for both teams.

I agree with you that Romania could easily beat Macedonia, because in terms of quality Romanian players are better. Likewise Sweden will win the match
easily against Georgia, I see Georgia is not a difficult opponent for Sweden. Regarding big teams like Italy, Spain, England, and Germany, it is still interesting
to watch. Since the big team has a lot of players playing in the popular league, this will keep the audience entertained. But I can understand if you want
to avoid big team matches due to France's disappointing results.
France played very well, but she could not win, not because she was not able to do something, but because Ukraine also played a very good match. The match Germany Iceland will be interesting for me to watch, because I think Iceland is a strong team, not as strong as Germany, but Germany not in the best shape and that is why the result can be anything. Hopefully there will be a lot of goals in the match.

As you said, nobody can ignore the Netherlands when it comes to football. However, there are also facts in football. If you do surprise success than a team like Turkey, everything is different.

Yesterday there was a Turkey team who dominated the evening match and they deserved to win.

Turkey had the home advantage and with all the COVID 19 restrictions and bio-secure bubble requirements, the visitors can have a tough time to adjust. And anyone who watched yesterday's match would agree with the fact that Turkey played really well. Statistics would tell you another story, as Netherlands had 65% possession. But the simple fact is that Turkey was the better team out of the two yesterday.

BTW, today we have some exciting matches. Does anyone think that Iceland will be able to upset Germany? Also Italy will be facing Northern Ireland. Both Iceland and Northern Ireland are famous for defeating stronger opponents.

Yes, Group G is the most interesting and Norway, Turkey and Montenegro have 3 points each and the Netherlands are in 5th which I think the Dutch play is very complex and good against Turkey and but lost 4-2.
and statistically the Netherlands are also superior, especially in possession of the ball and I will see what changes in the next Dutch game and have to win it.

Statistically and as per the ranking from FIFA, Netherlands is far ahead of all the other teams in Group G. Their performance was pathetic yesterday, but that doesn't mean that they don't have any chance to top the group. 9 matches remain for Netherlands and they will face Turkey again on 7th September. It is too early to say that Netherlands is currently at the bottom of the points table. The situation is going to change.

I'm taking Romania to win as I know my country players very well and in the last period our team has grown so much lately more than previous generation in 10 years so I would expect Romania to win against Macedonia with at least 2 goals difference. Another game that I like is Sweden to win both halves but I'm still thinking if this is the right play ...and regarding the big teams like Italy,Spain etc I would avoid those just because of what France did last night.

Yes, I also think that Romania will win this match... Their last games were not bad, especially since in my opinion they played against strong opponents, unlike Macedonia!

There were a lot of unexpected results yesterday... Especially Turkey was surprised! Also, because of France, a lot of express bets were lost...
Let's see what happens today! Wink

Turkey's win was not entirely unexpected. I had posted before the match that the sportsbooks are underestimating Turkey. Here is my original post about the match:

I also strongly doubted that the Netherlands are clear favorites, but still bet not on the victory of Turkey! Grin

Bet365 has Turkey at 10/3, and Netherlands at 3/4. It is really surprising. I would not agree with these odds. The gambling sites are under-estimating Turkey. A good strategy would be to place two bets on this match. One for a win by Turkey (10/3, i.e 4.33) and the second one for draw (14/5 or 3.80). I believe that there is a very high chance for either of these two outcomes. BTW, France vs Ukraine also looks interesting.

Anyone following my advice would have ended with a handy profit yesterday. I made two bets totalling $50 and received $108 in my account. You guys need to be patient and look for mistakes from the part of sportsbooks.

Even is turkey is not able to win further matches, the current performance by them against Netherlands was superb. Also if they could not qualify in the end, they will take good memories with them as beating a team as good as Netherlands is big achievement for them.

What is the point of all these good memories, if they can't qualify? Ideally they should be able to qualify after getting such a good start. No one really thought that they had a chance against the Dutch. But they managed to beat them by a big margin. Norway is not as strong as Netherlands and the other teams are below Turkey as far as the FIFA ranking is concerned. They should be able to qualify in normal circumstances.

My prediction is that Turkey will qualify from Group G yesterday's victory made the players more confident against Norway,  Norway is one of Turkey's competitors so the result of this match will clarify Turkey's move in Group G. At least the draw was enough for Turkey in the next match because the next opponent is not that strong.

Turkey was something expected for the people who have watched them. There could be a lot of people who were shocked about this game, but if you watched them on the euro 2020 qualifiers you would know that they were as good as this game showed and that's why there was nothing that we should be shocked about this game as well. I am not saying that it should be expected for them to win, but it should not be unexpected for them to win neither.

I do not care if you think Netherlands were a great team or whatever, turkey managed to beat the last champions, if they are good enough to beat the best team, that means they are good enough to beat any team. I am not saying they will be the champions, by that time god knows what will happen, but I think if they do not joke around and lose to weird teams like gilbartar or whatever, they can finish by leading the group for sure.

what is the purpose of having Gibraltar in a group?
free 3 points for everyone. These semi professionals teams always get bullied in qualifiers, but no one seems to care, not even those same NTs (Malta, Gibraltar, San marino, etc) so, whatevs

anyone else looking forward to Zlatan playing with the NT again today? He'll play next to Isak, deadly duo in front, tbh, add in Kulusevski and some others and you have a really solid team in the offense...i'm expecting them to deliver against a weak side like Georgia so i've added to a multi bet https://i.ibb.co/fp9Yv3F/D9FG6.png

We do also have Norway in the group, and Montenegro might snatch a draw against Turkey or the Netherlands.
But some matches do seem pointless... what is the purpose of having Gibraltar in a group? It's likely they'll end the campaign with zero points. Far better to have weaker teams play off against one another to see who then goes into a smaller group with the big teams. This would also improve fixture congestion for the big teams.
