I read the news from Sky Sport Italia, Dybala still has a chance to appear in Qatar. but Dybala should be out for four to six weeks, he is claimed to still have enough time to join the Argentina squad. but if it turns out that Dybala has to miss out due to his injury, there are still other names to replace him.
Argentina still has Lautaro Martinez, Julian Alvarez, and several other names. Messi, certainly not serious injury. Likewise with Di Maria, some news claims Di Maria only needs a month to rest for his recovery.

On the other hand, IMO, losing N'golo Kante, Lucas Fernandez and Pogba, will not have much effect on Didier Descamps' squad.  they have several names for a suitable replacement candidate. Didier Descamps only needs a mature strategy and chemistry between the players.
Here all is right as many big teams have enough luxury of quality players which can give them good replacement options even we can say some quality difference will surely happen, but things could be on good level for them, and they will be able to perform good without their key players specially teams like Argentina, Brazil and France which are having enough players and most their players are involved in top class clubs with good experience and skills.

But, fans surely going to miss few players those are involved in good combinations which are going to be useful for the top teams specially like Dybala and Paul Pogba as most chances he is going to miss world cup because things are not favoring him for joining team and giving his best which is also good for the player and his career because this is also important for him to take time instead of doing things in hurry.

I saw a documentary this week about the Qatar team and also about the country itself. The football team was of course prominent in this. It turns out that they are the current winners of the Asian continent. There you also have countries like Japan and South Korea, so maybe we underestimate Qatar. And of course those players have been working on this for a long time. From the moment it became known that the World Cup was assigned to Qatar, they could already start preparing. The group stage may well be a station they can get through. The Netherlands will be too strong in group A, but I think Senegal can be beaten. One more month and then we'll start. I hope that most players will be able to play injury-free by now. It might be a bit much to ask of many players in this way.

I agree that in every world cup the hosts have a slight advantage, but personally I think Qatar is probably the weakest host ever in a world cup in terms of team quality and I don't expect them to make it to the knockout stages of the world cup.
The Netherlands is one of the favorites of this world championship, and Senegal, if I remember correctly, is the runner-up of Africa.
Senegal also have a good chance of reaching the knockout stages of the World Cup and perhaps equaling their greatest World Cup success, the quarter-finals at the 2002 World Cup.

so better stop this all and just go ahead with sports and soccer if you want to talk about this all then please go ahead and start other thread for this subject.

Yeah. This conversation is a bit off-topic, but all this controversy will make the world cup more interesting.

First Winter World Cup,  All stadiums are nearby, and the first country in the Middle East to host the world cup.

I hope the countries of Asia and Africa will make a surprise in World Cup 2022.
And there will be a new world champion beyond those who have won the world cup.
Netherlands and Belgium are my best guess Smiley

The Fifa World Cup will be taken by an European country
Brazilians are so much in a good shape but they are far from winning
I don't know who to pick, but it is going back to Europe

Yep. Injuries are a terrible thing for footballers.
Apart from Dybala, Kalvin Phillips, Marco Reus, and Georginio Wijnaldum may be absent in Qatar.
The French team is also not in good shape, considering that N'Golo Kante, Lucas Hernandez, and Paul Pogba are injured.
It will be new homework for Didier Deschamps to find the right substitute.
But the show must go on. The absence of these star players will not reduce the excitement of the World Cup Smiley

Haven't heard about Pogba in a while. How is he doing out there? If I am not wrong, Pogba was the first star player to get injured before the world cup. The schedule of the world cup is partly to blame. Because of COVID restrictions, they moved the world cup to November. And this overlaps with many of the European leagues. A lot of players get injured during these club matches, because they are fiercely fought. Anyway, everytime some of the main players miss the tournament due to injury. Qatar 2022 won't be any different.

While the leagues continue, a world cup is really tiring for the players, but we can also watch a more exciting tournament compared to the forms of non-injured players in the league.  If Pogba recovers from injury and recovers quickly, he will be called up to the national team very soon.  He is a player who will help France a lot in the midfield.  Pogba is an important weapon and Deschamps wants to take advantage of it.

Are you confusing anything about Qatar and Covid? Qatar won the right to host the World Cup back in 2010, and it was initially assumed that due to the climate, the championship would be held at such an exotic time. Covid has nothing to do with it.
As for Pogba, he's still recovering from injury (and surgery) and appears to be doing well, but Deschamps said it's not yet clear if he'll include him in the squad.

Normally we don't have world cup scheduled in November-December. For example, Russia 2018 was held in June-July. I thought that the tournament was moved to November, due to COVID. It never came to my mind that Qatar is located in the middle of desert and weather would be intolerable during June-July. Anyway, no one is complaining about the weather in Qatar right now and therefore I believe that the organizers did a good job.

Thanks for the information about Pogba. It is still not clear whether he will participate in Qatar 2022. But one thing is sure. France would be significantly weakened if he doesn't play.

Undoubtedly, on the contrary.
These situations are going to give young players the opportunity to show themselves, and maybe we'll see lesser-known players make great games, and leave the World Cup at a much higher level.

I just read that they are going to be setting up drunk tents for people to sober up in.  That might be worth live streaming from the tents and and charge a fee to watch lol.  With the ount of people that are going,, I imagine those tents are going to fill up real quick lol.
This is a piece of good information, drinking and other social functions top the reservation of people against FIFA's decision to allow Qatar to hold this year's world cup. But they can't be denied forever as they are part of the world, it is the country and their guests that will try to respect each other by bending some principles if possible. If a drinking tent is set up in a secluded place, it will be nice so far it will not be breaking the law of the country as a Muslim state.

Unfortunately this can be difficult. We are entering that phase of the season where problems can arise at any time.
And one of them could be Dybala, who has an injury and it's not yet known if he'll be able to recover in time for the World Cup.

Dybala's injury was a big blow for Argentina. Because he was such a crucial member of the team. Messi and Di Maria also suffered injuries in the past few days, but they should recover before the world cup starts. From what I heard, Dybala is suffering from a rectus femoris injury. This is one of the most delicate muscles and should be handled with care. Dybala may undergo protein-rich plasma (PRP) injection to the area of lesion. Dybala himself has stated that he will be fully fit by the time world cup begins.

Sometime back Qatar sports authority hire few big celebrities for having all awareness about this culture and their system, so hopefully things could be ended in good way for all fans and local peoples which are going to have first big mega event in this war hit area which is now looking for bright side of peace and love.   https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/62794507

Theoretically, that was the idea behind the World Cup being held in Qatar. Bring this country closer to the western world, where there is some respect for human rights.

If you ask me if this will work, I'll say I don't think so. After this great event, everything will be the same in Qatar, and the rest of the world will go back to their normal lives and ignore (as before) the human rights violations.

This was announced sometime back as Qatar authorities and FIFA are working on many aspects which will allow fans to enjoy this event and have good time and use of their money which is possible under these strict conditions but most things are now coming out as first few have too many rumors about this event and many restrictions which were surely scary for many peoples as they are not having some positive information about this country.

Most chances we will not have any big surprise in group stage but with things are moved into knock out then surely few surprises can happen because many teams are capable of giving surprises, and we can't predict right now about these results with every one is talking about the Netherlands and Belgium here most chances Netherlands can go into last four but after this they have never been lucky to have better results even their quality is at their best, but their luck is surely not good as they need with Belgium is also having quality, but things are not looking good for them to have better result for going at the top I am preferring Croatia because they are better and capable of giving shocking results in any condition odds may be never been important as bookmakers mostly going with their own system.
We have seen even group stages having some sort of shocking results before, but most of the time you are right that it won't be shocking too much. Knock out stages could be shocking because it’s just one game, meaning that teams who are better and favourites, could underrate their opponents and end up losing and reversing that in the game itself is not easy, it takes time to come out again and be better.

I still think that one of the favourites will win the cup though, even if there are some shocking results, it will be one of the favourites of the cup that will not have any shocking results and end up winning the title easily.

I don't understand what's funny about it. Belgium and the Netherlands have the best odds in terms of bookmakers if the main group of "traditional" contenders for the title is removed. The Netherlands has 12.9 odds, while Germany has 10.9 odds - not much difference, right?
By the way, the odds for top 1 in their group are 1.41 for the Netherlands and 1.53 for Belgium - they are obvious favorites. You have a very strange analysis, maybe you know something that the bookmakers don't know?
I might agree, if only to get through the group stage, obviously Belgium and the Netherlands will be able to perform perfectly, but we can't predict further when we enter the next round.
although I am very confident with you mate, but other countries' teams are also very ready and able to perform well and are likely to be a stumbling block for the next round.

will there be any surprises? it will always happen but it will probably happen in the first and second round phases after that back to the country team that has always controlled world football, where in their country the match event went well, because this is a contribution they will receive and deserve.

A big LOL to this. Netherlands and Belgium winning the world cup.  Grin

Belgium is essentially a one man army, and without Lukaku they don't have any existence on their own. And Netherlands players are more interested in showcasing their karate and kung-fu tactics on opposition players, rather than trying to score goals. This time both of these teams may struggle to get in to the quarter-final stage. Netherlands is placed along with Qatar, Ecuador and Senegal in Group A. I won't be surprised if they finish at the 4th position. And Belgium is placed along with Canada, Morocco and Croatia. They may finish at 2nd or 3rd position.
