5 BTC to never gamble again sounds like the greatest offer I’ve ever been given. I’d even take 4 BTC to never gamble again without thinking twice about it. I’m pretty sure everyone would, right? That’s probably more money than I’ve gambled in my entire life. Definitely significantly more than I’ve ever made gambling. I’m thinking for $100K I could find a better source of entertainment.

I think gamblers may never accept this offer because it is fun experience for them so they can't live without. I think I would personally consider this offer because 5 Bitcoin is very big money for me. I won't be able to make that money probably ever with my wages. But as I said before, I am not that huge type of gambler. But there are many Rich gamblers that could directly reject the offer.
To be honest even some of the rich gamblers would accept that offer and never engage in gambling again. 5 BTC is a huge amount of money, and nowadays most gamblers end up losing a lot of money through gambling. It's rare for someone who bets very often to actually make a profit from all their gambling activities. So, I'd say even wealthy gamblers if they are wise enough and don't want to waste their money would consider taking this offer.

As for me personally, I would accept it without any hesitation since 5 BTC could enable me to start my own gambling site and potentially make a great business with it and it would lead me for sure to additional income.
Well, the rich mostly gamble not for money but because they enjoy gambling and they can afford to lose the money that they spend on gambling, so only the rich that actually gamble maybe to multiply their wealth might accept such an offer, otherwise, someone who already has a lot of money and can buy 5 Bitcoins or even more with a blink of an eye without even having any problems would never accept such an offer and give up on their source of entertainment.

Someone who is a regular gambler and who gambles only with the hope that they might get something significant out of it that will change their life once and for all will definitely accept an intriguing offer like that because what they are gambling for is money and money is what they are getting.

MAaaN...!! CUT THAT STUPID SHIT
I will stop if I was given 5btc and no turning back. The main reason why I'm playing is because I want profit. 5btc is more than enough to start or change better ways to earn money. But this topic is just wishful thinking. Who would give a 5btc just to stop someone in doing gambling? No one. Lol.
Me too, maybe I should quit gambling if I have that. Maybe it is a sign that I will need to do some things that can entertain me. 5BTC is too unrealistic if someone gave you that, but if ever I receive something like that I might consider quitting. I will travel instead or will visit different casino all over the world but I will not going to play anymore, just seeing them makes me happy because I have 5btc.

A topic full of delusions, if someone really gives 5 BTC then he is a person who is quite rich or whales who provide assistance to gambling addicts. But in reality, no one will give that much, even more scammers will take your assets. 5 BTC will change anyone to stop gambling, or even continue to place bets. maybe move on to more tangible investments like real estate and some appropriations for crypto projects. Don't be too late in wishful thinking, it's better to do what's ahead to achieve our main goal. Gambling, trading or investing make sure everything is safe and planned.

Sometimes when we speculate like this it's very easy to imagine when we get 5btc we will stop gambling and choose to do business in any field that can generate a more certain daily income than having to gamble.
It's the same as when someone asks me if I will stop gambling after winning 2000$ from gambling?
I answered yes of course because 2000$ in my country already has a decent value to open a small business to get daily income but in reality one day I got the winnings for the exact amount he asked after that I stopped gambling and opened a small business in my city but when my business can not generate income I will return to gambling in hopes of winning again.
From this story we can conclude that when he gets something that can make him happy he will leave gambling but when the money runs out he will return to gambling again

Everyone gambles with the dream of making big one day through gambling. If in case a win like 5 BTC is made I doubt anyone would leave and stop gambling. The reason behind my theory is greed. Coming back to the point that some one gifted a gambler 5 BTC. The gambler would still not stop as he would want this amount to get doubled. This is why gamblers never enjoys the money they won due to their addiction or bad money management. Bad money management happens because they are never prepared that they might win big amount.
Maybe it's not even about greed, rather it's because 5 Bitcoins aren't enough for the person to fulfill all their dreams and goals. Even though 5 BTCs look a formidable sum of money, it's not enough to live confortably until the end of your life considering all the expenses we already have daily, plus adding increasements due to having access to a superior level of confort, which demands more money and income.

It makes the person looks for more money yet, and then gambling will remain as a valid alternative for those who believe it can work as a source of extra income.

Don't create any ridiculous wish, just gamble for entertain and be realistic. Some people might willing to give you $5-$50 for you to gamble for the first time, but it's just one time and they want to see if you're interested or not.

I think the OP is just creating a thread for fun with ridiculous questions but we also know that's not going to be possible so why not create a thread as an example for everyone in this forum how would we react if someone gave 5 BTC outright it's just that, are we going to gamble again or leave gambling with those 5 BTC, I think we have the same choice here.  Grin
Yeah and what can we expect next?

Will you stop to gamble if you married with a perfect wife?
Will you stop to gamble if there's a guarantee you will go to heaven?
Will you stop to gamble if you're become a President of the United States?
etc...

Yes, it's just wishful thinking but we all know that we definitely have the same choice, which is to take 5 BTC after that, leave the gambling platform and don't need to gamble anymore, because I think that's more than enough for me to use as a long-term investment and I won't also use it for gambling because I'm afraid that I will definitely lose the opportunity to hold that BTC.

Indeed no one will give 5 btc for free Grin

This topic is just to know how much someone will respond if they get 5 btc. And most probably answered that they would stop gambling. But we don't know. We know that gambling always tempts us to return to gambling. So if after getting those 5 btc, we keep going back to gambling, that can't be blamed either Grin

Because gambling always uses many ways to get someone to gamble again. But if someone has full awareness that with those 5 btc he can create a new business that has nothing to do with gambling, that would be better for him. At least, the focus will change to taking care of the business so that it can develop more. Well, it's up to each person.

I had a doubt, you are mentioning the online gambling alone or you including the offline gambling too.If only online gambling, even I will quit gambling and play gambling in the offline.Sometimes offline gambling also interesting like online gambling, because we are playing our real friends. The job from offline gambling is always different.

Do you think that the person or someone who will offer BTC5 is dumb not to set proper terms or a deal with lots of loopholes?

If that person who will give gamblers a BTC5 just to stop their gambling activity can afford to pay that huge reward, therefore, expect some strict terms and conditions about it and will surely monitor your gambling lifestyle to the point that regardless if it's online or offline gambling, you can't save your ass and hide your gambling activity.

Even an attempt won't be considered due to the fact that since you accept that BTC5 offer, expect a heavy return in exchange.

Gambler is not playing the game for earning money, they only playing gambling for the fun.The real gambler will not accept the offer, some gamblers who target the money will accept the offer. The current price of bitcoin is huge for 5Btc,So by seeing this high money some may divert from the target. Some even get that bitcoin and quit gambling and start to play the offline gambling using this money.

As a business person, I would like to strike a deal with whoever is making the offer. Rather than give up gambling totally for the rest of my life for 5 Bitcoins, give me only 2.5 bitcoins and I'll give up gambling for 20 years only. That's a gamble because nobody knows what would become of Bitcoin then. At that time we may have it go to the moon and become the most valuable asset to own or it may crash to zero and become the most worthless asset to hold.
While I think that's a smart deal and is something that's really good at that, I don't think the one who's giving you this 5 bitcoins outright would agree (I mean if I were them). Considering the fact that there's nothing really in it for them if you stop gambling, and they are asking you only to give up gambling in exchange for 5 bitcoins, which in itself is a risk cause as you said there's no telling where bitcoin will be in 5-10 years time but with the current state of it all you have multitudes of choices to make from choosing whether to invest it or to liquidate it, both being equally valid and smart options. So he might not accept that, might even go so far as to cross out the deal cause the fact that you're looking to still gamble is something that strikes the dealer that you're not up for it. But hey this is all hypothetical.

Maybe for some, it's true that 5 Bitcoins can't match the thrill and pleasure that comes from gambling. Also, if they are still young they can have lots of gambling sessions and they may get lucky to earn more than 5 bitcoins later on. Me as a middle age person, I think I will bait on the offer because I rarely play gambling and if I do, I only play tiny amounts, so I don't think I can accumulate 5 Bitcoins in my lifetime.
~

5 bitcoins is 150 thousand dollars. If you convert them to fiat and keep them in a bank/bonds, then they will give about 5% per year. This is 7.5 thousand dollars a year. If you go to Vietnam/Philippines or another poor country, then this may be enough money to live without working. Probably many (who have already worked hahaha) would choose this option.

How can a guy who gives me 5 BTC actually check whether I play or not? It’s impossible. So, anyway it should be a good deal.

It's a hypothetical question in which I'm guessing the OP is asking is if there is a dollar amount you can get paid to stop.  Or is the thrill of gambling itself worth much more than that financial amount.  In practicality you are right no one would ever know but that's not what the intention is here.  So if that's the case would you stop?

Maybe I will have more chance and I can win more than that if I bet on a lottery but IDK why I rarely did that. I guess it's because I find it unappealing plus lottery outlets in our area is kinda far. There are online versions but almost all of them are infamous casinos so I'm not sure about their reputation.
