Sinbad Mixer: Mix Your BTC Quickly
To be honest, I would accept the 5 bitcoin and quit gambling altogether. Such a hue profit of 5 bitcoin is a alot amount of money, and earning that much through gambling would be really hard without sheer luck. Therefore, I believe it's fair to take the deal and commit to never gambling again for the 5 bitcoin.

I'm not even addicted to gambling so it won't be that difficult for me to stop. In addition to that, with 5 bitcoin in hand I could make a huge profits in the long run through holding them in my wallet.

Depends on what you mean by "gambling" cause anything can be considered gambling. I've seen people consider trading as a form of gambling cause risks are involved and there's a tendency for you to lose your money in the process, if what you mean is I can't gamble as in play games that offer monetary benefits when I win, then for sure!. I don't see any reason why I should not stop with gambling especially if given that ludicrous of an amount in the first place, and with the only caveat being I can't gamble anymore too lol. I've seen people gamble their lives away for as little as 10 bucks, with this amount you're basically set for life in some countries if you were to liquidate it. If you wouldn't and decide to venture into other ways for you to create more money you could basically try real estate and increase your wealth in the process! The whole world's your oyster when you have enough money, so that in exchange for not being able to gamble? Lol that's an easy choice.

Either someone is gambling for entertainment or money, or they are gambling for both. When given the option to select 5 bitcoin instead of continuing to gamble, most people will make this decision to choose bitcoin over gambling without giving it much thought. Because of the five Bitcoins that were handed to him, he will be able to fulfill his need for gambling-related entertainment or financial gain.

Gambling is a means of entertainment and that is why gamble has been there since ancient of days. If someone gives you 5BTC to stop gambling, it means that you are selling your freedom of entertaining yourself. Some persons wouldn't give up their gambling activities for 5BTC because they can afford it.

Those kinds of people that can't quit gambling just because they can afford 5 Bitcoin know the kind of entertainment they are getting from gambling, even when there are other entertainments they can get elsewhere. It will be weird to find those kind of people.

The requirement was that they cease gambling, not that they stop having fun. They can engage in a variety of other forms of entertainment besides gambling.

Hey fellow gamblers, I don't know if this question has been asked before on this forum. If it has , please let me know and I will lock it and move it to archival.

My question is this, if you were given 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again for the rest of your life, will you take it? Considering that first you will already be rich or the prospect of getting rich is high from it. And also if you play your cards right by investing the 5 Bitcoin properly, it could also mean generational wealth. Or will you say that 5 Bitcoins can't match the thrill and pleasure that comes from gambling, be it at a physical casino or an online casino.

First i would like to know in which universe this is a choice and what are the rules? What is considered as gambling? Some would say holding 5 btc is considered as gambling as crypto is so volatile so i am assuming that rules for this would include that i could leverage trade with that bitcoin. Which should be called gambling but isn't. So i would probably take the money. It isn't that much after taxes but i could use it to make more.

I'd take it simply because it is an assured amount. I do enjoy playing or gambling but if I qould go back to why I have started in this industry, such thing would answer my purpose which is to earn money. Also, I have no plans to depend on my fortune alone. Would I be holding only to that amount of BTC? For sure I would diverse it to other investments inside and outside this industry. Putting it into a single bucket would  be profitble still but why would I be contented with it if there's another way to do so?Bitcoin's market value won't increase in an instant, with consistency.

With regards to gambling, it won't allways be fulfillimg especially if you often lose in your game. I'd be okay with quitting gambling if there would be a good exchange or better exchange of what I am doing.

I will collect the 5BTC and stop gambling because from the country that I come from this funds is enough to make you stay rich through out your lifetime if you don't lavish  it on extravagant lifestyle. It will also be hard for a gambler that use small amount of funds for gambling to win 5BTC in his/her entire life. For me, this will be the biggest jackpot that I have won in my whole life.

The fun in gambling I can ignore but I will glance at 5 bitcoins equivalent to ($146K) the current price, if switched to investment it will multiply if for the next bullish.
I will not be too much wishful thinking, 5 Bitcoin is a large amount this is very unlikely I have completely unless I continue to invest with decades without stopping, I have a life that I have to pay attention too.
Bitcoin will be more important than gambling.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
This thread is almost the same as what is being asked here: Will You Stop Gambling Even If You're Doing Great If This Happens To You
About the inheritance to be given but having to stop gambling.

Then you get 5 BTC and quit gambilng? Everyone will come to different conclusions.

If they are middle to lower class obviously 5 BTC is a large amount will definitely choose bitcoin instead of continuing to gamble, while high-class gamblers 5 BTC is meaningless they bet millions of dollars because it is too much money.

I choose Bitcoin, but there is no winning from small capital then winning 5 BTC.

It's pretty much asking 10,000 Bitcoins to become blind or to be death, will you take it? obviously no because you will say you can't enjoy the 10,000 Bitcoins if you can't look anymore, that's mean your eyes or your body are worth for infinity.

5 Bitcoins is really huge for most of people, but sometime we're live isn't because only for money.

But who would give it such an amount and what's it for him? Is he going to track the coins if its spend somewhere? The condition is like taking your freedom to spend the coins the way you want it.

Even if someone really is crazy enough to give 5BTC to someone for him to stop gambling, it might not be enough for him to stop. He may promise not to gamble again but 5BTC is not so much for a gambler who already incorporates the life of a gambler.

You can move this to off-topic. I will stop gambling and take 5 BTC. I believe that is what other people will do too if they are not very rich and unable to afford 5 BTC easily.

5 bitcoin is definitely a jackpot that would be hard for one to win through gambling so it could be an easy Choice to pick it. But with the way most people are addicted to gambling I doubt they will genuinely give up. Some of them have will just pretend to give and take that money but due to addiction they will come back.

Moreover we have heard gamblers either win a large amount of money either bigger than 5 bitcoin or closer to it and they return back to that gambling live style again.

Also there financial stable people that take gambling as a sport, so it would be an easy decision for me but I wouldn’t generalize it

5 BTC is a pretty good amount for any middle class person. Most of the people will choose to get the bitcoins and leave gambling.
It's a life changing amount for many people. But it would be interesting to see if a gambling addict would really be able to quit gambling after receiving such a reward.
I personally think he wouldn't be able to quit gambling and will eventually start gambling more now that he has a huge amount of money.

The 5 BTC in exchange for stopping gambling is already a good trade for me. I would rather "gamble" on other markets like crypto and real estate with that amount of money to get whatever thrill I experience from sportsbetting. I'm pretty sure high rollers will have a different answer to this. They will probably find that too small.

No pleasure compares to the pleasure of having money available for you to spend, to spend on anything or need that you wish without having to think about where the money for it is going to come from. That pleasure is bigger than any possible pleasure that gambling can give me. 5 bitcoins is a lot, I will even never try gambling if I am offered something less like 2btc, even 1btc. Some gamblers in their entire life will never make up to that amount from gambling even if they have two lifetimes to try.
