5 Bitcoins is really huge for most of people, but sometime we're live isn't because only for money.

There is a reason to what you have said and I see it. Asking someone on a condition to do something or not to do something for another is kind of deprivation of either some sort of freedom that comes with happiness. For some people, money is not anything while others cherish it. So it depends on who is involved in the matter of giving 5 btc not to gamble for a live time. A rich dude that gets enough fun because he gambles would not see the point of giving him that to sacrifice such freedom. And a poor guy will easily find joy with that already.
Rather than who is involved, it is all about the person's requirement. There are people who have lost big through gambling and now working hard to repay the debts. For such a person the 5BTC is kind of relaxation as they will be able to settle the debts and once again start their gambling to try their luck. To me it is the money that 50% of the world population can't earn in their lifetime. I'll keep 1BTC, so that I can be one in the 21 million and the rest will be used to make life comfortable than losing.

Hey fellow gamblers, I don't know if this question has been asked before on this forum. If it has , please let me know and I will lock it and move it to archival.

My question is this, if you were given 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again for the rest of your life, will you take it? Considering that first you will already be rich or the prospect of getting rich is high from it. And also if you play your cards right by investing the 5 Bitcoin properly, it could also mean generational wealth. Or will you say that 5 Bitcoins can't match the thrill and pleasure that comes from gambling, be it at a physical casino or an online casino.
#TBT Topic

What does your approach have to do with a casino, a life decision and bitcoin.  Ah, if the forum => bitcoin, then Gambling => forum.

I explained it in another post, it doesn't matter if it's $100 or 5 BTC, the decision is the same, there must always be a balance between your decisions to bet and what to do with your ordinary life.

Life is full of risk and full of indirect gambling through your decisions, so I cannot promise you with this but I can assure to you that your 5 BTC will not be wasted.

I will make sure to spend it right and put it on a good investment but of course, having that money is not easy and the real challenge is to sustain that money and double it or more.

As many says, its easy to become a millionaire but its hard to remain millionaire, this will boils down to your financial decisions and strategies.
It makes sense. In my first "investment" (it was a "high yield investment program" Feeder Fund) people who attracted investments even warned the potential investors: "Do not gamble with money you cannot afford to lose".

The question is, do you have at least 5 Bitcoins? if you not try to give it to random gambler in this forum, how you can know the answer? Cheesy

Anyone will say yes they will never gamble anymore for 5 Bitcoins and when they already get it, maybe they wouldn't gamble for 1-2 months, but after then they will gamble because they want!

Even you aka as the one who give the 5 Bitcoins to him, would he care in case you know he broke his promise? nope, even your best friend can betrayed you because of money.

It's a waste of BTC if anyone gives you 5 BTC to stop gambling...

1. You can still trade stock or crypto assets on crypto exchanges.

2. If you are gambling in your room who will know what you are up to? All you have to do is lock the door behind you and start gambling again.

The question is how will this person that gave up 5 BTC will know if you are no longer into gambling after accepting the 5 BTC? So this question isn't working for me, it's not an idea that could work out, some people can't even stop their addiction, gambling is more addicting than another thing and with 5BTC, they can still keep gambling and lose all the BTC.
It's a waste for the giver but not for the receiver. They will only enjoy it and they may not stick on the promise, as we know there are now online gambling where we can play gambling even in our comfort rooms and by using any internet-capable devices.

No one would ever suspect that we are playing a gambling there. I am an honest person so if in case I will accept the deal, I will strictly follow the rules. Besides, there are still other ways for me to get entertained ( not only through gambling ) and my sole purpose of playing a gambling is to make money. So now that I have loads of it, it just doesn't make sense to do the activity anymore.

Life is not full of risk but the society that you are living around can be a risk. Life is a hardship and without knowing how to tackle it you would not have survived till now. None can resist 5BTC and I am assuming here that it is impossible to spend that kind of amount on gambling. Let's think what a gambler who is addicted to gambling would think. Assuming I am a gambler, my mind would say to me that I have 5 BTC why not make it 10 BTC? This is how a gambler gambles and then losses everything to the addiction.

If you are living in a gambling environment everyone would encourage you. If you are not living in a gambling environment and after winning a big amount they will still ignore you and consider you as an outsider. That is why your circle of friends and social gathering is important for you and your family. Life is simple you work hard and you make money. If you are smart you make more.

Nope I will not take the risk of gambling away 5 BTCs considering that its value is a life-changing amount, at least to my country.

As someone who lives in a third-world country, receiving 5 BTCs is like equivalent of having a good and comfortable home with a running car. This kind of amount can actually be a game-changer given the fact that competition of money is significantly high.

With this in mind, I cannot bear to risk 5 BTCs given that it can totally change my life for good. Sure, the thrill of gambling such huge amount may give a boost to my adrenaline but I just cannot accept the circumstance of losing everything in the event that I lost.

How can a guy who gives me 5 BTC actually check whether I play or not? It’s impossible. So, anyway it should be a good deal.
Even in my dreams, I'd rather have 5 bitcoins than gamble. Where are you pointing the lie? Of assured, I'll stop gambling for beneficial reasons and concentrate on the more luminescent, more prestigious subsequent years that is awaiting me. Gambling might have had a chance to compete with 5 bitcoins ten years ago, but there is currently no match. Accumulating 5 bitcoins is equivalent to accumulating an enormous fortune, an elegant residence, and an exotic car; this is a luxurious lifestyle we all have been dreaming about, there's no time to mess things up.

        -     well, 5btc is 5btc perhaps majority will take that including me of course. And then stop gambling forever and establish a business that will generate income. It's a huge amount here in our country, I can buy a brand new house and lot with new vehicles and business too.

But I haven't heard anything like that in reality in this crypto gambling field. Because who will do that for you? unless it's your parents or close friends who do it, that can happen in real life.

It would take only a person that is proven profitable  over a couple of years to pass this offer, because  everyone knows that the house always wins and to be offered this to walk away from gambling 🎰  am taking it no doubt!!

But the problem will come in when someone wants to grow their crypto holdings then they find themselves  gambling again...

How can a guy who gives me 5 BTC actually check whether I play or not? It’s impossible. So, anyway it should be a good deal.
Lol 😆 very funny, now that you mentioned it, am now wondering if people gamble to have fun or its all about the money ..because if it were about the money its good bye to gambling otherwise possibility of gambling addiction if a way out was given but someone found a back door🚪 Roll Eyes

Similarly, someone who likes to gamble regardless of the fact that they win or lose, wouldn't take the money and will simply say that they can't stop gambling forever, maybe if you give them a period for how many months or days they can't gamble, but they wouldn't accept the offer to leave it forever.
I know for a fact that some big bag gamblers spend such an amount of money in just one night, doing it for fun,  I have read in this forum where a rich kid wasted about 30 million dollars on gambling and alcohol in just one night and that is some that chuck many of us small gamblers,  but then I got to understand that some gamble not just for the money but also for the fun,  and also a means to waste some money by some extravagant spenders.

But if I should align this situation to myself,  I will say that getting a 5 Bitcoin as a result to leave gambling,  I will say it worth the break and I believe most other people here have the same line of thought like mind.
I agree with you in this situation it would be a good decision to actually stop gambling because 5 bitcoins may be nothing for rich people but it is a lot for middle class people. They may never lose so much money in gambling that they spend in business or investment because the guarantee of winning in gambling is very low. If you become addicted, you will lose everything and become destitute. No one will waste such a large amount of money unnecessarily if it is invested it will increase in value.

Mate are you really serious right now,  5 BTC is a big money that can change someone life in any part of the world and gambling is for just two things which are.

1: gambling for fun/entertainment
2: gambling for the winning rewards and money

So in which ever ways you take it,  5 bitcoin will play a big role,  because if you take gambling as entertainment,  you will have alternative ways to keep yourself entertained other than gambling if you have money.

So at the end 5 bitcoins are far more important than gambling in any sense you may think of it.
I understand your point but you are actually not getting his point because he is also right. There are people who wouldn't take that much money to leave what they like to do the most, I mean look at those rich people who gamble just for fun, do you think they don't have enough money to do other things to keep themselves entertained? No, it is because they like to do it and they do it with passion and they take it just like a hobby without caring about the money they are spending on it.

Similarly, someone who likes to gamble regardless of the fact that they win or lose, wouldn't take the money and will simply say that they can't stop gambling forever, maybe if you give them a time period for how many months or days they can't gamble, but they wouldn't accept the offer to leave it forever.

Would take this deal any day of the night. Five bitcoins is lifechanging currently so to stop gambling would be a perfect exchange. I think o most everyone would take this the offer if they dont have a business or money. I would start a few business with this money probobly and take a long vacation. But still the gambling addiction is hard to get rid of so i doubt most of the people would be able to stop gambling.

5 Bitcoin certainly sounds like a lot of money, and it's hard not to get a little bit covetous thinking about all that digital gold. Gambling, however, is about more than just winning money. It's all about the mental challenge, the rush of competition, and the sensation of mastery. Even if I had a million Bitcoin, I wouldn't be able to give up those exciting moments (LOL give me 1 million please)

Wait a minute... What would happen if I pretended to stop gambling, took the Bitcoins, and then kept on gambling with them? Not that I would ever do such a thing, of course...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

You can always can, as long as you are good at doing it secretly and provided it's not your wife or someone who is living with you like your father if you are still in their house, whoever had this idea of giving Bitcoin for you to stop gambling is not really wise, because gamblers are good in finding ways the giver cannot trace you or follow your all time even in your bedroom or comfort room, I don't think this is possible but who knows we could read that it really happens in real life

You remember there was this other thread where we were also deliberating on a topic related to this one, but in the other thread, the OP was talking about receiving some money too, just to stop gambling. Here we are again  Huh, with a 5 BTC offer just to stop gambling. I hope you are aware that No body will offer you a million BTC to stop gambling 😂. Wake up from the dream. Perhaps it's not even possible for 5 BTC unless you are such a compulsive gambler that you are only gambling to make ends meet, and fortunately you are lucky to meet a fuckingly rich C.E.O who offers to help you by giving you the 5 BTC, which you must agree to stop gambling, else you will return the BTC.

Don't ever get caught gambling; otherwise, you will refund the 5 bitcoins, but if you can't, then you can end up in jail for breaking the deal.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Even if you are given 1 million bitcoins but are a gambler, you will definitely use it to bet to get more bitcoins. We normally want more bitcoins than we already have because we will never be satisfied. And it's also true that it's about a person's mentality when they are about to be given any gift and instead of stopping, they use it to get even more.

I guess most people would act like you do. They want to earn more by gambling but guess what will happen next? They could lose more because of their greed.
