I recommend to invest. It is not big money and here it is possible to afford this risk. To invest more more dangerously and more profitably
There are many alternative investments in the market. And if you need an offer, I advise you to invest in cheap altcoyins, and those altokkines below $ 1 are definitely good, like ripples, neo and other cheap alcines. And wait until your $ 500 reaches the maximum during the time when the cryptoreactor is strong, or you can wait for several years to grow more.
I do not think that now is the ideal time to invest. The market has not yet begun to grow. If you are willing to wait a year or several years then buying Bitcoin is a good choice. Altcoins are more risky but can bring more profit.
My choice is investing in low cap currencies, blockchain 4.0 and other infrastructure projects.

In my opinion, you can invest on any coin that you like before because the price of alts almost reach the lowest value. So you can get more benefit whenever the crypto market come back. However, there is some potential coins that i highly recommend you invest in such as ETH, NEO or EOS. All of these is in my portfolio. I hope the crptocurrencies recover soon.

With the price of ethereum now, you can able to buy atleast 2 ethereum with your $500 but if you dont want to invest in ethereum you can also invest your money in ripple, the price is cheap but before this year will end it will show some improvements.

If you are going to invest for a long term holding, I advise you to invest in top-20 altcoins which already has a good techonogy and are likely to develop it actively in the future - Eos, Stelllar and Neo, for example.

This investment can be beneficial only when it's a long term investment as altcoins have a volatile market in competition to bitcoin . If you wanna invest $500 in altcoins particularly then I would suggest you to go for ETH as it's going through a tough time already and because of that it's price is kinda low in market so you can buy more ETH in 500 $ than before and can yield great profit.
I also invest in the market. Top 20 is my choice. Let's say a crypt like Vechain I like. Vosnovnom choose those who are less than 1 $. To get more tokens. Such a system I choose.
five hundred dollars is very little . but still I recommend you to invest in etherium for the long term.
i prefer investing those altcoins that has potential, fast growing, productivity and very active on their community that always keep in touch on every member of their telegram, discord, messenger or any chatting app/website, those altcoins who have one of those will have a great future. Just know too that you're going to choose that has a long term investment(big profit) or has a quick term investment(less profit).

I think listen advices for investment is not good choice because there are lot of people who give tips but know nothing
I will invest everything in NEO. I think he has very good technology, and I'm sure that the team will work on the project, which will give its growth in the market several times
Well, for a long investment, I would certainly choose the coins that already have a large capitalization and of course the project in the top , I would choose stellar eos etc in my opinion these coins will be very expensive soon!
Yes 500 dollars I of course would divide into parts, the main part would invest in the top coins , and the other only in ico
