...compared to say u.s. dollar bills which you can hold in your hand or stuff in your mattress.

this is why bitcoins will not go mainstream because majority of human beings on this planet do not have access to a computer.

successful gold standards are things like toyota trucks, ak-47's, u.s. c-notes which thrive in places like afghanistan and africa.

I'm sorry but Bitcoin is so young and will be needing to improve first before becoming a global currency for all. Who know? Maybe all humans will be able to have an internet in the future?

As far as I know, most of the world has Internet.
Where there are networks, it means that bitcoin and cryptocurrencies can continue to grow.
And the Internet and the blockchain are our future, and they will all be provided by the Internet in the future.

you are wrong, I think you should seek more knowledge about digital technology. now everyone has been infected by the development of the world of technology, although not all in this world access the internet. but they can still by smart phone. one that will make crypto bigger, the development of an era of technology that we can not let go of real life.

The people without internet don't have money anyway.

The money is concentrated in the hands of a few million people and they are the ones who will determine the future of bitcoin and other such virtual currencies.

Bitcoin may not become a mainstream currency in the planet, but it does not mean it will fail. As we can see, bitcoin already established in cryptocurrency and might be considered as the most successful cryptocurrency today. So as long as there are investors who patronize bitcoin then it will not fail even if people wants to earn with fiat money.

Indeed, in order for the crypto currency to fully spread all over the planet, you need the Internet and the appropriate mobile equipment such as a laptop or a good mobile phone. In addition, we need certain skills in working with the crypto currency. These problems should not be particularly in industrial centers or cities. However, in the countryside, especially where it will not be possible to get outside help, consulting in the use of crypto currency, it is unlikely that it will get accustomed. This is especially true for the elderly, who are already difficult to understand the functioning of the crypto currency. Along with such problems, if there is a problem at all to have the appropriate devices and Internet connection, then the crypto currency will continue to spread for a long time and this path will not be so smooth.

Why do you need computers? You can still access bitcoins using mobiles many wallets are available in Android platforms too for example coinbase wallet one of the commonly used wallet which is available in android too.I think 80% of the world population uses mobiles phones so there is no problem for accessing bitcoins so it won't fail.
The world is getting upgrade bro,we are in 21st century technology is developing a lot and using a computer is not a big matter anymore. So definitely bitcoin will be there and it will be used by all the peoples in the world including Africa and Afghanistan people.

yeah that's true fact that a lot of people cannot use computers but what you are forgetting also that crypto is on android mobiles so they can use it much easier and crypto could reach the common man and get him to know more better so this is not an obstacle for usinf crypto instead of fiat these could easly change when it gets accepted everywhere i hope i explained my point enough

It was never meant to take over dollar or any other fiat money, it's purpose was to be an option for the people who does not want their money controlled by any central entity.

I believe that the main function of bitcoin right now is to be a store of value. Those people in the 60% that don't have any access to computers probably don't have any 'values' to store in the first place so were are better off without them.

Why can't 60 percent of people have access to the Internet?
Now, the Internet has popularized the enough, at least in the planet earth, so when the Internet popularization, then block chain era of rapid development, so the currency and encryption currencies will continue to boom.

Bitcoin doesn't position itself to become a main stream currency. Doesn't mean if the 60% of the population have no access on internet means btc is doom to fail.
BTC itself is design for a decentralize currency using blockchain which the purpose you can use btc anywhere in the world without exchanging it to it local currency.
The 40% of the population is more than enough to sustain the market of btc not as a currency but an asset that can generates more money.

True that. Imagine if 10% of the world's currency was bitcoin. That would be insane gains from here and we've already seen massive gains. Why would 60% matter (which is a completely bullshit made up stat btw.)

Considering that only 40% of the world had access to computer right now and bitcoin is doing fine, I think that bitcoin is here to stay. Besides it wont be long before the computer era invaded the whole world. Technology is unstoppable!

this is just a matter of time, it is still a lot of people in some countries do not have access at all to the internet or have minimal internet facilities. But it should be noted also that the growing number of internet users is increasing rapidly every year in developing countries.

The fact that more people use computers more every year means more people will continue to gain access to it. Look at the rise of smart phones.

Yeah, those 60% use smart phones. Idiot. Every third world country is overrun by smartphones, so obviously they don't have computers. They're too big expensive and take more energy.

If fiat can survive then obviously bitcoins are going to do a hell of a lot more than surviving. They're going to dominate currency. If not bitcoin then another cryptocurrency.

They will at some point, the future is in here, and they need to adapt to it.
And yes, those who do not have access to computers are the poorest ones from the 3rd countries who do not even have acces to "US dollars" since they are using inflated currencies who are not even worth $0,01.

The vast majority of the human population does not have an internete, but it is not right to limit Bitcoin to just computers. The most important thing is internet, Bitcoin transfer takes place wherever your internet is. It is not only internet, it is very important to use the appropriate devices. That's why we need more time.

People are alive, right? year by year technology reaches the longest places, there will come a time where it will not be 60% of the world population that will not have a computer, these are things that will be improved over time, many countries are poor because of corruption and of colonization and wars ethnic. we can not be criticizing all the time.
Now it seems to me that your post was to say that gold is better than bitcoin, that is another subject that only creates discussion that is not healthy

That 60% of population that can not access computer will decline as time goes by.

It seems that OP is forgetting this, I remember that 20 years ago in my country probably nobody had a computer or if someone had not should be a number of 20 people and today everyone I know has a computer with internet access
