These days that's basically what they can be tagged. They just use it to attract investors and really do not care about the community.
Yes, I agree, it's such a shame, it was such a good idea, and then they went and screwed it up because people are greedy and cannot discern where there is a scam and where isn't. Free cheese in a mousetrap situation.

It can not be said that they are scum, it's just that these projects can not survive with such competition and such a state of the market. I have long understood that airdrops are carrying out very weak projects, so I do not spend my time on it!
The fact, we just get little amount of tokens if we dont have many referral. Mostly the airdrop force us to find referrals as many as we can. Especially who want to invest in their ICO. That's the hard point to do, persuade people to invest there which mostly didn't have good roadmap or whitepaper. The best way that we can do is join the airdrop which also have bounty campaign on it. So we can get extra token by joining both of them. And not waste our time.
I am also often deceived by airdrops, but some legitimate airdrop projects still exist. I don't think we should treat all airdrops as a scam!
Very rarely there are good airdrops, most of them are garbage, which will lie in your wallet. Now I see no reason to participate in airdrops.
A lot of projects don't pay them .Or simply projects the scammers and to the distribution we just don't get.
The cryptocurrency market has been very depressed this year. Therefore, many projects are impossible. Many times this is a waste of time. Includes bounty hunters.
I would say more than 99% of the airdrops are nothing but useless. Anyway, I think spending time behind airdrop is nothing but wasting of your time. Rather, find out some good bounty campaign managers and do some bounty by that time. It will be good for you.
Personally, I participated in a couple of airdrops and they all turned out to be scams. I think airdrops is not worth the time.
It is true, Just each airdrop is non sense . I don't know anybody gained decent amount of money thanks to airdrops during last half a year.

Whether the token has value depends on the development of the team. The active project team has the confidence to hold the tokens.
There is a lot of garbage in the airdrop, sometimes we spend a lot of time and energy in the airdrop, often harvest little. So don't waste time on airdrops. You'd better join the bounty.
True but there was some really good airdrop too. For example, DeepOnion and PRiVCY. Those 2 gave a lot to people. Especially, DeepOnion gave a lot. Most of the early adopters got more than 50K ONION which was valued at $1m in ATH. Imagine how much people got. PRiVCY is still lower priced as the market is red.
I take an interest in a great deal of airdrops and I concur that the greater part of the airdrops are trick!! I joined an airdrop, and it is in wire, a bot and you will assert each hour to get token and to payout you require 100tokens of that. Also, think about what I achieve 50 tokens so I can't pull back? Since it isn't 100, see? That implies you need to purchase firt a greater amount of their tokens previously you can pull back them.
Most airdrop is created to collect data . Wallet address , your telegram, mail and other data ...I do not recommend participating in them
Yes I agree , even now the market is such that projects do not collect and soft cap , a lot of fraud , but only if and to do only quality
That's why I no longer participate in airdrops. I realized that this is useless and does not bring profit. I prefer to use other ways of earning money.

to say that 99% are scams is a little exaggerated, I think that 80% are, and I don't think they are scams that run with your money, they are just projects that are not successful and that's why we perceive it as scams when they really are not, many times developers are not dedicated enough or set very high goals and that's why they fail.
